"Damn it! What are you doing? I'm a guest on this island! How dare you treat me like this? Hurry up and get rid of that thing! Why are you pointing it at me?"
Arthur was caught off guard when the child suddenly appeared. Even though the kid wasn't a real threat, his sudden arrival still surprised him. That's right—the child was floating in the air, just like someone from Skypiea.
The only difference was that this kid didn't have wings on his back. After hearing Arthur's words, the boy looked a little awkward.
But then he remembered that Arthur was the one who had intruded on their island. His expression quickly turned fierce again as he glared at Arthur and shouted,
"I'm warning you! This is not a place where you can come and go as you please! I won't allow an outsider to stay here. Leave now! Otherwise, don't blame my subordinates for showing no mercy!"
Hearing this, Arthur suddenly burst into laughter. He hadn't expected such a young-looking kid to have such a strong attitude.
Of course, Arthur didn't take the boy's words seriously. After all, he was just a kid, and Arthur had no reason to be bothered by him.
"Listen, kid. I'll let this slide since you're just a child. But tell me—why is everyone here floating in the air? This place feels a little different from others. If you tell me, I'll give you a candy. How about that?"
Sure enough, no child in the world could resist the temptation of candy. As soon as Arthur mentioned giving him some, the boy instinctively swallowed. But he quickly turned his gaze toward Arthur, eyeing the grin on his face.
The little boy then pointed his fork at Arthur.
His tone was still serious, but compared to before, his voice had softened. It was clear that he was embarrassed to keep shouting after Arthur's offer. Still, he raised his voice and said,
"I won't accept your candy!
My parents told me never to take sweets from strangers—only from people on our island!
I'm warning you, leave now!
If you don't, I'll tell the tribe, and when the elders arrive, you're going to regret it!"
Despite the kid's serious expression, hearing such words from a child was amusing.
Arthur didn't take it to heart at all.
No matter how angry this boy was, there was no way he could actually pose a threat. Even someone as dangerous as Orochi couldn't harm him, let alone a child like this.
To Arthur, the whole thing was just a joke. So, instead of bothering with the kid any longer, he simply continued exploring the island.
