Nagato's gaze turned cold. The black rod in his right hand tightened the chain, while his left hand swung out, sending the Truth-Seeking Ball spinning rapidly toward Madara once more.
Madara leaped into the air, evading the Truth-Seeking Ball.
Then, closing the distance in an instant, he swiftly unraveled the chain connecting the sickle from the black rod in Nagato's hand. His figure flickered unpredictably as he dodged yet another pursuing Truth-Seeking Ball from behind.
"Universal Pull!"
A gravitational force erupted from Nagato's hand.
Madara's movements faltered for a split second as several black Truth-Seeking Balls whirled menacingly, closing in on his back.
At the same time, Nagato spat out a dazzling blue beam from his mouth.
"Sage Art: Storm Release Light Fang!"
The blue beam and the black Truth-Seeking Balls attacked from both front and back, instantly placing Madara in a perilous situation.
"So this is the power of the Ten-Tails' Jinchūriki?"
As he spoke, Madara flung his gunbai forward, his body rapidly shrinking into a palm-sized wooden puppet that slipped through the gaps between the Truth-Seeking Balls.
The puppet swiftly expanded, and Madara's true form reappeared, his hand catching the gunbai midair before slinging it onto his back.
By now, Madara had already ascended higher than Nagato.
"Sage Art: Fire Release—Blazing Wildfire Arrow!"
A blinding crimson flame lit up the night sky, shooting downward like a massive arrow from above.
"Hmph!"
Nagato extended both hands, and all the Truth-Seeking Balls instantly gathered before him, forming a colossal black shield.
"Susanoo!"
Behind Madara, chakra materialized into two enormous blue arms, their surfaces etched with curse-like patterns formed from senjutsu energy.
Madara raised his right hand, and the massive chakra arms mirrored his movement, manifesting a gigantic blade.
With a downward swing, the colossal blue blade cleaved toward Nagato's head.
CLANG!
The black shield shifted on its own, intercepting the enormous blade.
Madara smirked as the blue chakra arms continued to press down with immense force.
CRACK!
Tiny fissures spiderwebbed across the black shield constructed from Truth-Seeking Balls.
"Truth-Seeking Balls, composed of Yin-Yang and the five elemental chakras," Madara remarked. "The key to countering them lies in the omnipresent natural energy."
"So what if it is?" Nagato lifted his gaze. "I now understand—the Divine Tree is the true embodiment of all nature!"
He abruptly sidestepped the massive blade and formed hand seals.
"Sage Art: Yin Release—Thunder Sect!"
A torrent of black lightning surged from his palms, instantly filling a vast expanse of the sky.
"I see."
The blue chakra arms behind Madara spread wide as a complete Susanoo rapidly took shape, encasing his body within it.
"For you now, wielding natural energy has become second nature."
The black lightning crackled violently, causing fissures to spread across Madara's Susanoo, which was already marked with senjutsu patterns. Yet, the cracks were continuously repaired by the senjutsu chakra within his body.
"In that case…"
Madara's eyes narrowed sharply.
"Limbo: Border Jail!"
At that moment, Nagato's own eyes widened.
BOOM!
The black lightning in his hands dissipated as he raised his arms to block an invisible attack.
"So this is the power of your Rinnegan?"
Within the vision granted by his own Rinnegan, Nagato could clearly see four white silhouettes identical to Madara.
As he fended off their assaults with taijutsu and Truth-Seeking Balls, he couldn't help but marvel, "Even with the same eyes, the dōjutsu they manifest can be entirely different!"
"Indeed."
Madara formed another set of hand seals.
"In my eyes, you haven't even begun to utilize the Rinnegan's full potential, brat."
The Susanoo transformed into a twin-faced entity, its four arms mirroring Madara's own hand seals.
"Let me show you what the Rinnegan is truly capable of… Heavenly Obstruction Quaking Star! "
"That's—!"
Nagato instinctively looked up.
The night sky was bathed in moonlight.
The layered clouds shattered in an instant as an enormous meteor, large enough to blot out the heavens, tore through the atmosphere and plummeted downward.
"Impossible…"
"That thing…"
"This… this is…"
Shinobi observing the battle from the outskirts of the battlefield stared skyward, their minds blank under the overwhelming pressure of the descending meteor.
"…GET OUT OF THE WAY!!"
Someone shouted a desperate warning.
The shinobi snapped back to reality and scrambled further back.
"Hey…" Hashirama lifted his head, quickly regaining his composure. "Madara's gone too far this time!"
"Tch!" Tobirama yanked Hashirama back. "I knew it—that man still acts without regard for anyone else—"
Before he could finish, he suddenly turned his head.
…Only to meet Izuna's deathly glare.
"Senju Tobirama." Izuna bared his teeth in a mocking grin, his canines glinting coldly. "Care to repeat that?"
"Hah!" Tobirama scoffed defiantly. "Uchiha Madara disregards the lives of countless shinobi on the ground—is that not the height of recklessness?"
"You—!"
Izuna's fury flared.
"Worthless Senju Tobirama!"
The man who had killed him!
"I haven't even settled my score with you yet!" Izuna jabbed a finger at him. "And you dare insult my brother?!"
"Hah!"
Tobirama crossed his arms, his expression one of utter disdain.
"You—!"
Izuna was seething.
"IT'S COMING!!"
Hashirama abruptly stepped between them.
Both turned their heads—the meteor was now terrifyingly close.
Nagato stood directly beneath the meteor, gazing upward at the colossal mass that eclipsed the moon.
He did not retreat.
"A meteor…"
He raised his left hand as his entire body began to mechanize.
The sound of shifting machinery echoed as his form transformed into a massive, intricate mechanical base, his left arm morphing into an enormous cannon.
HUM!
The air vibrated as an intense energy gathered within the cannon's barrel.
"A meteor is just a bigger rock!!"
As Nagato's voice rang out, a searing, brilliant blue beam erupted from the cannon, striking the meteor's underside.
"BREAK!!"
Nagato roared, and the beam intensified.
CRACK!
The meteor, moments from impact, began to fracture.
"Incredible…"
"How… such power…"
The distant shinobi watched in stunned silence.
BOOM!!!
The blue beam sliced through the meteor like a blade of light, shattering it into countless fragments that rained down in a storm of smoke and debris.
"Stronger than the Ten-Tails' Tailed Beast Bomb," Kaito narrowed his eyes. "Not only does it contain the Ten-Tails' chakra, but it's also infused with natural energy. And with the mechanical amplification of the Asura Path, the energy is compressed to an even purer form."
"Almighty Push!!!"
A repulsive force exploded outward, hurling the shattered meteor fragments away with tremendous force, scattering them toward the surrounding shinobi.
The warriors employed various techniques to block the now-smaller debris.
"Oh? So this level isn't enough for you."
Madara's voice echoed from within the floating Susanoo.
"In that case… let's try this!"
The twin-faced Susanoo maintained its hand seals.
Nagato's mechanical form reverted as he looked up at the now-cloudless night sky.
"Two this time?"
