I was too nervous to sleep.
I spent most of the night with various useless activities. I dressed myself up and down, changing my mind every few minutes, took three showers, and swam a few desperate laps in the pool. Around 4:00 AM, I ended up rearranging my bedroom furniture, purely out of sheer, pent-up energy.
Time moved at a snail's pace. I finally settled on an all-black ensemble, save for my shoes, which were bright white sneakers. I liked the comfortable and clean look. With that done, I walked downstairs as silently as a mouse and waited for Tetsuya in the kitchen.
I was making some coffee when the cooking staff arrived and politely refused their offer of food. Soon enough, my 'training' partner arrived.
"Morning, Stivastin. I slept like a baby. Those beds are sure something else," he said, sitting down next to me, looking entirely too well-rested.
"Morning. Here, have some coffee," I said, pouring him some.
