Aksai then shifted his attention toward the Woodland Heart.
The once-formidable core of the Woodland Devil's Den Formation had been reduced to a broken mass of roots and shattered wood. Its surface was riddled with deep cuts, and several of its larger roots had been severed completely. The remaining fragments had lost the faint vitality that had once flowed through them.
The formation's rudimentary consciousness had also fallen silent.
