A sniper in his unit raised his rifle and aimed at Kendall.
But before he could fire, a bullet from another sniper sliced through the air and crushed his skull.
"Sir, take cover!" his remaining men cried out as they quickly shielded him and retreated.
From afar, Damien pulled away from his sniper scope, scanning for the next threat to Kendall.
While Kendall led the assault, Damien provided cover, eliminating anyone who dared target her.
Without the elite rebels to protect them, Unit 71 crumbled quickly.
Two hours later, Kendall had near-total control of the battlefield.
Country A's command structure fell into disarray. Despite all their precautions, they'd lost.
"Sir, we need to run!" Simon urged.
"If we don't, we're all dead!" Joseph added.
The Country A officer nodded then suddenly drew his pistol and executed both men with two shots.
