The man barely finished his sentence.
"PHEW—"
The suppressed gunshot sliced through the silence almost invisibly.
For one horrifying second, the cameraman didn't even realise what happened. His body jerked violently backward before collapsing inside the bushes, the camera slipping from his hands into wet grass.
Blood spread quietly beneath him.
The earpiece crackled immediately.
"Report."
Silence.
"Report." The voice sharpened.
But the man could no longer answer.
