Chapter 5 - Home

You can imagine my surprise as, in an instant, I knew reporting the ugly hag would bear no use, and so I had to improvise.

"Good day madam, I came to report some grave digger men scaring me from the window," I said calmly.

The silence after that was tense, and yes I purposely ignored everyone else.

After a second she replied..

"Again? Lady Vivianne, could you please handle this? I believe he is in your class." The principal said to the old bitch slapping hag.

Yep her name is Vivianne.

She nodded and calmly escorted me outside the office.

Would have normally been scared of being abused again, but this is the principal's office. Hell, I didn't even finish the statement before my ears got twisted so hard she genuinely wished it wasn't still attached to me.

I yelled and almost instantly got another bitchslap shutting me up.

"Grave diggers? Are you a child?" She asked, but I didn't answer and got another bitchslap.

"Answer me?" She asked with the spirits surging around her in joy.

In my daze, I replied "Yes"

I could swear I saw a glimmer in her eyes like she was waiting for this from someone.

She suddenly calmed and said.

"See me after school in my office, we're going to talk to that gravedigger, and if Kelvin, doesn't make me wait"

I smiled, but the tears were already dropping from my eyes. I touched where she slapped me, and I could feel it, the blood.

She probably had barbed wire for hands. I teased myself, though I was in no mood for jokes, because she really did injure me.

I walked into the classroom again and went to my seat, and that was where I saw it.

Everyone just stared at me like some kind of freak, and my notebook, which I had packed before, was on he desk again, opened to that same scribbling F'ing place KEEL VIN.

What's keel vin I ask myself, my name's Kelvin.

I was in so much rage, I wanted to beat someone up, but no one seemed to be intrigued by my reaction and just kept doing what they were supposed to do.

We no longer had any classes again for the rest of the day, and this was real because no one saw Mrs Vivianne until the bells were rung for school closure.

I packed up my things and was ready to bolt out of the building when I saw her walk into the class, pick up a chalk, even though the school was over, no one moved, wrote on the board that the week was a holiday, even though it was just Monday.

And just below it was a sentence, students who are supposed to see me should not make me look for them.

And then she walked away.

I was among those students, but with the week being a holiday for reasons I don't care about, and me not giving a fuck about the gravekeeper, I bolted for the gate of this hell.

If the principal can't solve it, Mum can definitely do something about it, or my elder sibling.
