Wovi hovered a few feet above the ground, arms crossed, shaking his head with an exasperated sigh. "Uff, this human… he's back to his old self. Lazy as a stone."
His voice wasn't annoyed, though. There was a small smile tugging at the corner of his lips - nostalgic, soft.
He drifted silently toward the tall window at the side of the room. Morning sunlight streamed in through the panes, casting golden lines across the marble floor. Outside, the Academy grounds were buzzing. Students rushed to finish their morning preparations, sword polishing, uniform pressing, late-morning meditation. The energy was thick, electric.
But inside this room… it was quiet. Peaceful. Almost sacred.
Wovi's gaze turned distant as he stared out into the courtyard, but his thoughts were somewhere else entirely years back, to when Wuxie had first been thrown into this world.
He had been such a mess then.
