Huo Beijiang finally, reluctantly, let go of Nan Fei's lips, his gaze lingering on her once-pale lips now slightly swollen and stunningly flushed from his kisses, making it impossible for him to tear his eyes away. Suddenly, his heart quivered, its rhythm nearly spiraling out of control.
"I like you." He lowered his head, planting yet another tender kiss on her lips, murmuring softly.
"My love, I love you. This life, the next life, I will only love you." Huo Beijiang felt he had so much, so very much to tell her. Most importantly, he wanted to let Nan Fei know that no matter how she changed, in his heart, she would always be the best, the most beautiful.
No one could ever compare to her.
Nan Fei, frustrated with her own reaction, silently berated herself for being so useless. She tried to pull her hand back, but Huo Beijiang firmly pressed it against his chest, keeping her palm flush against the spot where his heart beat.
"Do you hear it?" he asked with serious intent.
