" Mr Jaune Arc" Jennifer how greeted him as she was fellowing him for a while now as She had her blond hair tied back, and rather than her usual clothing style as she was dressed in a blue cotton shirt and dark brown pants but The shirt was large and loose around her, as were the pants, which were held up by suspenders. Her face was grim and ghostly pale as she was wearing a brown cowboy hat.
"Mrs Jennifer Arc." Jaune said her name and he was lightly clicked his tongue to let his horse jackal know to start moving again as Jennifer start it to follow him again.
"I wanna go with you and I saw you how you were eyeing' that map and the sites." As Jennifer said to him As she followed him closely behind.
But Jaune smiled and started smoke as he pull up a cigarette pack from his pocket and a lighter as he lit it up and start smoking and he had been smoking a while cigarette when she approached again. As He took a long drag Then before and then he flicked the cigarette butt away and started to, blowing out the smoke slowly. "I'm in a sour mood right now I'll have you know jen." He told her this.
"I understand dear but please Let me come to." As she told him this As he was kind of concerned for her health and her well-being here.
"How are you not tired right now?" Jaune told her this and shook his head at this to. "You were only just in the morning helping your father out while he was puking' his guts out this morning and everything that happened between the fighting confronting Abigail and everyone else even awake for a while and you need some rest'! On me! And jackal here." As he told this to her and told his horse to start moving.
"Oh I am suffering's the biggest headache right now dearest." As she pulled her hat farther down. "And I need a breather Once in a while jaune and You can keep to yourself, I can keep to myself and We both have demons to deal with right now, I feel like s***."She told him this as he understood one thing She's pissed for some reason.
"Fair point, Mrs Arc and then Off we go, then." As he nodded at her as he told his source in her let's ride as they speed their way through the main road the towards the town.
TWO HOURS LATER
ON THE WAY :

The rain wasn't being kind to them as they traveled west to Town of Valentine as is one of the few towns that has a scroll connection that works out here and when the few towns that is connected to the kingdom itself and so was the trade that comes here. It was only half a day's ride, so jaune didn't mind too much at that development and though he'd rather not have to worry about dealing with wet clothing and As he came prepared as always and Occasionally he shook off his hat as water collected around the brim as He could see Jennifer was do the same and scowling as she did so at this.
They didn't speak much as they want on a journey as They had to stop once along the way so Jennifer could eat something and clean her clothes and, then they continued on. She refused to take a break to rest or any other thing as she saying it would pass like this.
Once the rain trickled off to a drizzle and they were halfway to their destination, as Jaune was reached into his pack and grabbed some small candies that he brought from home that he knew he might need one day as he even offered it some to Jennifer and who refused and her face still a little pale for some reason she might be sick if all he knows Well there is going to be a doctor there so that will help.
As our blonde hero new one thing that the silence treatment was killing him as he was very damn nervous Is she pissed about something that he did or something that he did not do He doesn't understand not one bit as he decided to break the ice ones and for all as he prayed to the Lord upon them to protect him "You know, Charles and I went out drinking' last week in town" jaune Arc started to speak as he popping a small candy in his mouth and The salted coated peanuts were one of his favorites and he savored the taste for while and then break them in his mouth and start eating them.
"I heard." She told him as for him for some reasons he was getting more red flags.
" and then I wound up in the middle of nowhere and Don't know how I got there and dear God there were no Grimm there but instead I think we was tryin' to escape the law or something's? I don't know and Charles was a hard man to find during the whole thing." As Jaune chuckled to himself. "And I am pretty sure I walked in on him, too, with a lady, though it's a little fuzzy at the moment."
Jennifer smiled softly at him and started to chuckle to her self. "I can't imagine he was happy about that."
"Possibly and Anyways that I hadn't had a night like that in years. And then I Woke up with the nastiest headache and I couldn't move for a whole day. So, the point of this and you seem to be doin' pretty well, despite the... situation, you had yourself in Miss." As he told her about the situation and she then sighed at this.
"I don't drink usually," Jennifer said to him as she was a little sad about it. "My ex husband and I weren't drinkers at first rather have any kind of juice rather than alcohol it was always the worst."
"What made you decide to drink?" He asked curiously as he kept on riding his horse.
Jennifer scoffed at this and started to stare at him and she told him the magical person who responsible for all of this. "It was Karen She and her big mouth and She thought it'd help, and I suppose, but all I got out of it was this nasty headache as she convinced my papa to do the same in the end."
"Help with what?" He asked curiously as he kept on riding his horse. "Forgetting'. Everything that happened." As she told him this as he nodded at her.
As Jaune kept on munched on a candy thoughtfully as He knew exactly what Jennifer mean and situation she was going through right now and Losing a loved one and He didn't know how much she wanted advice at the moment, but he felt like he had to say something or face this silence for a few more hours 'Well here goes nothing' He thought you herself and He let out a long sigh as he reached into his breast pocket and pulled out his packet of cigarettes and It was something she needed to hear, sooner or later. As there's horses for near each others as She then grabbed the cigarette he offered and they continued to ride in silence.
"It doesn't help," jaune Arc said after a bit, letting out a small cloud of smoke. "The drinking' and It doesn't help you forgets and Believe me, I tried and You must've heard what John said back there as well..." He asked her about this as he even face her direction.
"I couldn't help but overhear with his crying wife beside me as The whole neighborhood was watching' you two little confrontation as there are others who were making money out of it." She told him this as she/ he remember there was one person with the hot dogs stand and the other with the popcorn stand She was wondering do people have anything else to do and see their little commotion and now she thinks they do not. That man better have my half money when I come back there as he thought.
"I lost two important thing and people of in life and I resorted to a life of drinking' and gambling', for a bit. Charles and even you helped pull me out and But I'll never forget who and what I lost, and no matter how hard I tried," jaune Arc mused as he was, taking a long drag of his cigarette again.
"I won't, either," Jennifer agreed and frowned at this. "Sorry you had to bring up these awful memories of yours I did not want to judge or complaint about anything and I'm sorry." As she told him this as they ride with each other peaceful.
"I'm sorry about what happened to you. I'm glad you're tagging' along, though." He told her they can to know each other better.
"It's good to have some purpose again. Though the neighbors are annoying me sometimes as getting under my skin' awful...". She told him as they continued on words.
Jaune laughed softly at this. "Don't mind they yeah just nosy as ever They have nothing else to do than to complain or to see some drama around here."
" Agreed on that part and So what's the map look like again?" Jennifer said and asked him as changing the subject which jaune was starting to be grateful for.
As He dug herself into his pack again and handed her the map of location. "I think it's outside Strawberry, and It is near Valentine or somewhere and It looks familiar I was out here saving One of my friends sorry ass When the situation went very sour." He told her.
"I heard about it by the local folks there When I was with my papa some time ago and Sounded like a mess." She told him as he nodded at her.
"The bastard's crazy picking a fight with the mayor's daughter no less and I'll keep a low profile and I should be fine for a while," jaune shrugged at that.
Thunder crackled ahead of them again as it's causing them to start. Jackal danced hesitantly on her feet as Jaune knew that she didn't like thunder and rainy amosphere at all he always tended to make camp when this happened often and It was still mid-afternoon and he had wanted to cover more distance as The sky was covered in a blanket of dark clouds as it was threatening even more thunder and rain around it.
"You wanna make camp soon?" Jennifer said and questioned him as she noticing his horse's and it's temperament on its atmosphere around it.
"Nah," jaune Arc said to her and petted his horse's on the neck. "We can continue on and She just won't like it and There's a path up here I wanted to take and check out the spot, maybe a mile away from here." He said as he clicked his tongue and as they were off and trotting down the path and The horse was anxious and picking up speed jaune would have to make sure to hitch her extra tight to a tree as She'd run away in a heartbeat if the thunder got too loud again he needs to make sure she stay still.
"Shit," he heard Jennifer curse for some reason as the rain came down harder and The wind had picked up as well, as it sending shivers through him ad Their day was not going so well, but he was determined to reach the path as They could make camp there.
"This is it!" he yelled through the wind and rain about half an hour later, pointing to a path leading off the road. He pushed his horse onward through the brush and as Jennifer followed suit. As They broke through the thick brush and as jaune dismounted his horse as He tied the reigns around a thick branch, then pulled his collar up around his neck as The wind was more then bone-chilling by now.
"Jaune," Jennifer said, her voice tight. "Just Look."
He did and felt his heart drop. The feeling in his gut had been right. This was the proper location where the next body might be - the large rock displayed on the map was just ahead. The harsh rain had rinsed away much of the blood, but the shredded limbs, fingers, and toes still scattered the area.
Jennifer moved ahead and jaune followed closely as They rounded the corner to find a body displayed much in the same way as the one by Valentine as the arms was tied and pulled wide and head and lower half missing and there was a Written in white and black were the words, DO YOU SEE THIS ?
The head sat on a rock a few feet away, the next map sticking out of the hanging mouth. As the jaune pulled out the map gingerly and he already felt sick by the scene and didn't want to touch anything to do with the body.
"Poor bastard," Jennifer mentioned as what was she just witnessing just now. "Let's leave this and I don't want to camp near this guy anyways."
Jaune Arc stuck the map back into his pack as he faced his head in forward of another path. "Agreed. Let's head north and camp there then we'll try to wait out the storm."
Together they made their way back to their horses and set off far away from this location and leaving behind the gruesome scene for someone else to find. It had been recent as the body only a day or two cold. The killer would be on the move and jaune could and was determined to stop it as He wasn't the law, but this sickened him the most and He would try to bring the dead people justice That at least he can do for them back to the respect families.
They made their way up a mountainside, following a narrow path. Jennifer already was ahead and barely visible through the thick rain and fog. As The weather had turned sour fast and as jaune was beginning to regret his choice of continuing on as He was soaked through the bone and his horse had had it rough form They entire day.
Thunder clashed throughout the sky and lightning flashed in a brilliant stroke, hitting the tree right beside as Jaune was on His horse reared, the fiery explosion at the tree spooking his horse to no end. Jaune yelled at jackal, trying to get her to calm down a bit and though it only seemed to make it worse. As She backed up a bit and started to stumbled her foot and catching on a loose rock as the Gravity overtook them both as her hoof slipped and the two of them fell backwards. As Jaune was clung for dear life as they fell, his back hitting the muddy hillside, his horse smacking down and landing harshly on his leg. As Jaune blindly pushed away, and not wanting to be trampled by his own horse as they rolled down the hill side.
He was tumbling suddenly, not knowing what direction was up. Then he met air, flailed, and landed into biting cold water. He heard a splash not too far away and realized his horse had fallen as well. He couldn't help the horse in the moment as he had to focus on getting to shore fast as The water current was strong right now and not wanting to do nothing more than pull him down. As Jaune was always had been a strong swimmer in his family as though he could feel his strength sapping from him quickly as he was pushed downwards towards his new destination.
His back hit a rock and he was pinned for a moment. At least his head was free and he sucked in gulps of air. His feet barely touched the bottom of the river, and a secured branch stuck out just far enough for him to grab. As He reached for it and pulled himself up, grabbing another branch before finally taking a step out of the deep riverbank.
There was nothing to do besides collapse when he set down on solid ground. He took a few moments, rushes of wind and water filling his water clogged ears. He pretty sure he heard Jennifer say his name repeating and though he was too tired to sit up.
A minute later and Jennifer was at his side, helping him sit up. "You scared the living' hell out of me, jaune!!!" she chided him harshly.
" sorry Jennifer but I have a bigger question at the moment Where's jackal " jaune Arc weakly said, leaning against a tree stump. "Is she okay?"
Jennifer was hesitated at first as she doesn't knows how to say this. "I don't know but Can you walk straight ?" As she asked him curiously as she was quite worried about him.
"Nothin' that won't heal that I can say about ." Jaune tried to move the foot and a sharp pain traveled up his leg. "And I'm bruised in places and I don't feel like mentioning that to." His head was beginning to clear up and the roar in his ears had started fading as the adrenaline rush wore off. " please Help me up, will ya?"
Jennifer grabbed him by the elbow and grunted under his weight, though he managed to stand and favoring his ankle. As He looked along the riverbank for his horse has The rain had faded, leaving a dense fog behind and About thirty feet away he could see his horse laying on the river bank, not moving. "Shit," he spat and hobbled over, Jennifer supporting him by his arm. He dropped to his knees beside his horse and softly touched her head, already knowing he was too late. Ole' Grumpy had hit her head somewhere in the river, as a chunk of her head was covered in blood. Arthur lifted the horse's head onto his lap. She still had breath, though it was fading. He ran a hand down the horses head, patting her lovingly.
"Oh, girl. You deserved better," he said meekly. "Hush, now." A moment passed, jackal just moved chest a little and then once and then no more Then it was silent as you know the horse has passed away but he knows that he should not show any negative emotion at the way if he does the grimm will be attracted towards him and Jennifer as they both will be endangered so what he can do right now is to accept what just happened and move on.
"Why are things goin' so wrong Sometimes ?" Jaune told her as he stood by his now dead horse as his wife Jennifer Heard, his voice cracking a little. "Ever since beacon academy and the goddamn transfer papers. I lost My friends and my family I even lost Mac to the grims a few months ago And I kept on losing things and People I care about keep on dying on me'." As he said as jaune was very sad at this moment He's losing so much and he doesn't knows when will it stop How will it stop he just genuinely wanted to help people If this what it costs to help good people then he was better off never do anything like this they win they're always were right I was just an idiot who thought who can make a difference but a reality I can't do anything else at all.
"I'm so sorry jaune I don't know And I'm sorry for tripling your burden at this as well." Jennifer sat next to jaune and put an arm around his shoulders. "I'm so sorry, jaune for your loss I understand what you have been through and I can tell you one thing it will get better one day Just keep having faith and one day you will see a light side off the bridge trust me." As she comforter him at this moment as she knew his entire story as she understands this person here who is her husband It's a broken man that he has lost faith in his own system and society and he cannot have confidence anymore if the world is going to be mean I'm going to be unfair towards him She will be fair and polite towards him She will try her best to lift his spirits up and keep him steady She is his responsibility and he is hers responsibility as they will walk together on this roadie past ahead.
Jaune was looked at her, then at his horse. There was nothing to do but move on. "Give me a minute, and we'll find a place to make camp."
They made camp half a mile away. Jaune was had carried his saddle and pack, numbly aware he would have to buy another horse the next day. He could always catch one, though training took ages and he figured there wasn't enough time. As he had plans in motion, and jaune just needed a horse he could depend on.
They weren't too far from the stables at Strawberry. Jaune had looked last time he was in town, and there had been a mare out of his price range. If she was still available, he now had enough money to purchase her.
"Or you could steal one as you are no artificial outlaw as people not going to do any trading with you or basically the kingdom will not and it will not hurt to do so" Jennifer commented at As Jaune just stared at her like she got insane or something else something has taken over her mind and making her stay God forbidden stealing He has a code you know " right?"
"There's some things I steal, and some things I don't. A horse... AFTER CLAMING DOWN:
As we see Jaune Arc was set up his and Jennifer tent and sat beside the campfire Jennifer had built for themselves and Earlier in the day jaune had gone hunting as he came 25 minutes later as he caught a turkey or two and tied it to her horse as He was grateful it hers horse hadn't been lost in the tumble. As He was working on cutting the meat out and stuck it on the end of his knife.
"You don't carry any sort of spice with you?" Jennifer just eyed him. "No seasoning dear ?" Sight "If I come across some, sure," jaune Arc said to her as He handed off the cooked meat to her, then grabbed another piece to cook. "I'm afraid I recently ran out."
"Thank you, though." As Jennifer just sat next to him and took a bite of the bird he just prepared for her. As he then was finished preparing the other one as well and then they're roasted the turkey for a bit as they started eating it little by little as they both agreed on one thing Never run out of seasoning again how's this was not very delicious to eat as the eight in silence after they were done they had some water the deported on their hands as they cleaned off of the meat the other things on their hands after prepare to study their next move "So, we did found the body," jaune Arc to tell began and pulled out the map from his pack. He pressed it open. "I don't know this place, do you?"
She shook her head at him as she spoke "We'll just have to keep an eye out for it. It could be anywhere, though I suspect it's not near here and Obviously, the killer wants his work noticed and He might try to spread out his work to others like him." As she can tell from jaune face that he was quite disgusted and pretty much disturbed by this image and thinking it's really is a psycho killer man or woman who knows.
"What a sick bastard." As Jaune just decided to put the map away and took a another bite of his meal as he has prepared extras for himself "Couldn't agree more." As he was enjoying his meal "So what's the plan for tomorrow then?" She asked him as she saw he had more on his plate as he had more than three turkeys He hit the last one for her Oh he was getting a beating.
"Buy a horse first thing in the morning', and then we go hunting' and return to Valentine and then strawberry Do you know how to hunt?"
"Of course," Jennifer was huffed at this. "Me and my husband did everything And I pretty much grew here so hunting is normal as We shared our chores and We couldn't have survived up there if we didn't keep smart about things." She wiped the knife on a patch of grass, then handed it back to jaune. "You don't mind if I tag along with you every now and then? It gets so dull back at the house Has everyone's mood is still sore from incident." She asked him.
"I don't mind. Let's get some shut eye, Mrs. Jennifer. I'm ready to put this day behind me." As he told her this as he started to Head towards his tent as he lie down on the quilt he set on the floor as he started to shut his eyes as he was thinking for what to do in the coming morning as he has so much to do right now he needs just to sleep as he went to bed everything has become darkness has consumed him.

It has been more than a month since Jaune arc started to live here but a week ago someone else came to the town known as Outpost 341 This was a remote place entirely as towns were not well connected in these routes as the roads were more damaged to even bring cars in or any kind of a vehicle There's only rely on animals like horses and other animals that relate to them as they were easy to navigate in those areas with those animals but they're not so soft as you think they are those animals are trained even to fight grim off and even with their Riders are in a tight spot Let's just say their dogs and their horses will come to save their asses and fight out the Grimms as they were trained to do but in these outposts things are run differently as the operate as towns as they even have their own voting system but they don't apply that much here because they don't have many people to run these joints so we give it to one person the mayor so he can do whatever the hell you wants with it.
We're going off track to begin with as for our little friend known as Mr ark his wife came one week though in this town to live with him as life has been more than a blessing towards He could go and join Atlas academy Right now but that's not the right choice because some time ago you lost his teacher in the field as when he later find out that teacher was a good person to begin with he was a corrupt huntsman who smuggles little girls from these towns and villages too the cities as slaves in the underground system as it was illegal but you still had their ways in and out.
He was just relaxing inside of his office as he was thinking what should he do with his life as it is He's made a decent business as he became a part-time huntsman himself doing deliveries town by town and then some bounty huntings He was doing everything that huntsman's do overall but he didn't have a license so that was an issue on his part as whatever he do in mission Which kind is it to begin with he will always get have if it's 30,000 cash he will only get 15,000 as it's because there is no license but he did not mind not one better as he did some side business with that money he was combining because he didn't take one job at once he took more than four jobs at the same time because he made more than he can afford As we can see him sitting in his office that he is now elected as the new mayor of his place not by choice to begin with as he has to look after this place Now his wife is here Well let's just say she's tidying up the place as he pretty much got the entire office clean by herself and then she went outside to the town hall as she started to meet the locals folks as she started to become more familiar and friendly with everyone in town slowly but as everyone in the town started to like her as well as Even the entire Faunus community in the town started to like her and how many More often do you would like or accept any humans If you are Faunus To begin with he can think of a few but as they were ready to share their troubles and their ideas with her as it was like all the bridges that were there or the walls were created all those years ago between their races with all gone instantly as she had that much of an impact She did save him to begin.
Jaune know one thing for sure is that Jennifer is a pretty and caring woman as Jaune could see and he knows about but that he can remember as he always considered themselves best friends even after they were married as drunk idiots and later everything that has happened between them as the trials it had together about their bonds were tested again and again as he knows by his experience she was the greatest thing that ever happened to him When the world abandoned him she accepted him even it was a goddamn drunken marriage type situation but in the end he got the best deal ever and there is a bonus she's older than him and he likes older mature women but There's a catch doors all of this as those women don't prefer guys like him to begin with as he was more of a noodle than a guy but he thing that he Finally realized After all this time that He is a f****** idiot and he had jumped awfully fast at the opportunity once show to him by when ozpin offered him a position in the academys and told him to go to Atlas academy to get his license and school training but when he started live here he started understand that there are something more greater there's more than being a huntsman as you finally understood what his father was always talking about and his grandfather was always telling us about

Jaune was still lost in his thoughts as when he approached town of Arcadia formerly known as Outpost 341,as he was scanning the area and keeping an eye out for his wife Jennifer and her horse as Why was he suddenly nervous about something like that ? He was a grown ass man now, for god's sake he knows this more then anyone around here that He screwed up big time as he lost his wife horse as He thought it was a good idea to leave it on the open as it will follow him but no it decided to run off as he can remember his wife's angry face and her secret weapon in her hand the slipper does she will be using it to spank him or to beat him to death with and make him eat it later as she is a very temper woman as she won't even leave a grim alive If given the chance.
He had done this before and He hopes this is the last time it ever happens in their lives as he doesn't want to stop f****** slipper of his a** does he and then he started wonder one thing do what, exactly? He wondered to his self that What well he was going to do now If you cannot find it go back to his office write some paperwork or pretend it never happened or blame it on one of his people that could work but who will be the idiot to do so wait what about Lenny ?
As you was thinking to frame and to blame it at Lenny but he did not realize that Lenny was walking right behind him with a bottle at hand and with the same horse he was looking for as he was drunk as a goddamn idiot and as he was falling down they kept on saying one damn word "Arrrrtheeerr " But then on the other side jaune Arc Who was so much in his own thought that he did not even look behind himself as very horse He was looking for was right behind him as Then Lenny was doing backflips on it And then started to do some breakdancing on top of the horse and then on the floor and some of the people started together around and throw flowers at him while some were laughing at his strange behavior but for our mayor he was just walking away in his own thought about how his wife will react to him and his little situation.
At that moment he was thinking one thing In that situation If you did not find the horse he has to buy a new one or tell her that the horse was stolen but he saw next was something as his eyes has wide enough at that very moment as terrifying for him It was the very person he was thinking at that moment "Act natural", as he saw his wife Jennifer talking with the local folks as these were standing next to the lamp post.
As then by the god's a miracle happened as Jennifer's horse charlie was hitched by the general store. As He took this as a opportunity as he started to go near the general store himself as he then hitched lightning the second his horse onto the hitching rod and slowly walked into the store and finding something that he could give her as an apology for losing her horse or something like that at that right moment he knows he's bloody scared so he needs to do something to ease off as he was staring at an array of different candies. As he saw his wife have stopped talking to the locals and started to come towards his direction in the general store as he saw through the window as She was dressed in her pants and yellow shirt with her hair pulled back in a loose braid but There was one more thing she was wearing a red scar around her head covering her neck but not her braid it was Different from how other women dressed in a sense but jaune thought and agrees about it that suited her more then anyone he has gained a known as long enough as she's beautiful as ever But who cares that much anyways When it comes to fashion to begin with as if it helps to kill the grimms or help the locals he doesn't mind at all.
