He reappeared at the base of the hill where they had first walked up.
As Jennifer was still calling his name, unaware that he was a little distance behind her. He called to her, and she spun round in an instant. Her hair looked frazzled and her eyes were red. He could tell that it wasn't because she was angry.
"Jaune!" she cried out, throwing herself at him. They both crashed to the ground with her on top of him.
"Careful, careful," he weakly chuckled. "My body's still healing from the fall."
"You idiot," she growled. "You had me so worried. I thought you were dead, why didn't you answer your scroll?"
"It got busted in the fall. Sorry for scaring you." She responded by slamming her lips on his, with enough force to leave him bruised. She held on tight to him whilst he rubbed her back, acting as a silent apology. She stayed like that until she pulled back for breath. The look on her face showed just how scared she was for his health.
"Don't you ever put me through something like that again," she growled, punching his chest. "I told you you wouldn't be safe, but you wouldn't listen. If anything happened to you, I would have... I..." She never finished her sentence, choosing instead to groan and help him onto his feet.
"How about we head back to the motel? I'm tired and your wrecked. I just wanna forget tonight."
They started trudging their way out of the woods, with Jennifer keep a close hold of him at all times and It was an easy enough walk, minus the pain in his leg and the bruises on his body. At least they didn't run into any Grimm, which was a small mercy.
Jaune filled her in with what happened - how he fell to the bottom and tried making his way back to her. When she asked about his leg, he said he had just cut it on way down. He didn't want her worrying anymore. He didn't mention anything about Raven, as he was debating whether to bring it up or not.
Eventually, they made it back to the motel room and as they flopped themselves on the bed and For a while they just laid there, exhausted after what happened tonight.
"I know I shouldn't ask, but I don't suppose you saw my ex-husband when you were down there?" She asked him desperately as she needed to know the answer but he thought about it for moment. Hanzo khalifa had disappointed him even and He knew he'd be angry with her if they ever met, but he didn't realise he'd get this mad until finally knowing her. This was a man who left her family without a word, based on some mysterious cause that she deemed more important than her own family.
Who knows, maybe she was right? Maybe she was protecting the world from some impending doom. But if so, why didn't she explain that to them? It didn't matter how noble she thought her actions were, they deserved to know.
And he thought he was doing them a favour by keeping it a secret? If she had known the truth, she would've eaten her words right there and then.
He looked to Jennifer and there he is seeing the tired hope in her eyes as She deserved better than Hanzo. That person didn't deserve the effort her ex-wife was going through to look for him as Jennifer would be doing herself a favour by forgetting everything about that person to begin with.
And so, he made his decision at that moment that alter their relationship forever as what will happen afterwards is truly a blessing.
"I'm sorry, it was just me down there."
She closed her eyes let's out a disappointed sigh escaping her lips as she looked towards him. "Well I can't blame you for trying now Can I," she as told him this and face towards the another direction as she was scanning the entire place and then returning her attention towards him. "I didn't really expect him to find him tonight anyway and Still to tell you this I just had to look, you know?" He just stood there and he just stared her her for more then a minutes as then he started to nod at her.
"Ah well, I've still got the next few days here and before I might make some progress here and there then before." As he just s stare at her as he was trying to understand her pain as he starting to get where she's coming from.
"Jennifer" he said her name gently as he started to approach her as The look on her face clearly showed that she understood him and that There was no point looking for him again in her life and as It just wasn't worth it as he made his decision a long time ago and he's not going to change now or forever.
"Yeah I know that look you are giving me and I know that that and I'm a big girl and what" As she groaned at this as he just stared at her as she was Still trying to convince him "I'm starting to think this whole thing was a mistake anyway."
"It wasn't a mistake You just wanting to find your husband and What's so bad about that anyways?" As he told her this she was just trying to hide her face.
She went totally quiet for a moment as She shifted slightly and as she started to looked up at the ceiling as She had a small smile on her face, but it was anything but happy one to begin with as She was remembering her entire life How has it been what her life was when he was around anyways as all the dark parts he had all those years started to come back to haunt her.
"You know in a fact that for the longest time in my entire life, I always thought it something about me," she started to tell him her most sad and dark claims she had her herself and this in her weakly state of mind. "That the reason why he left and the rest of us behind was all of my doing and I spent a lot of my own life thinking it was somehow my fault and I still think If I was never born would our family lives would have been more better don't know what I did wrong though." Okay he has enough of her nonsense now.
He pulled her close in to his arm's as their foreheads touching each other as he was whispering something to her "Don't you ever think you did something wrong to begin with," he said this to her very firmly As he hold are very tightly close. " That Him running away from his responsibilities is his own shitty God damn business to begin with, But You are nothing like him You are better than him and you are the greatest thing that ever happened on this very earth of ours and Never in your life you ever doubt or think you were in any way responsible for his mistakes He choose to abandon you good You don't need someone like him to begin with You have me I will protect you I promise." As she just scared at him as she wanted to cry at that very moment No one in her entire life actually said this to her Not even her own parents as she wanted to cry more than anything she had another method in mind that she can use on him.
She just smiled at him and then kissed him lightly on his lips. "You know what you do always know what to say to a girl like me huh?" As she told him this and started to giggled and "GOD NO" She didn't stop there though, and as she started to straddle him and as She leaned down towards him and started to kiss his neck and started to lick him to.
"I can think of other ways you can cheer me up," she said in a sensual and seductive manner actually had her hand on his crouch rubbing it to get a reaction from him.
"Maybe not tonight, Jennifer," he said as the mood didn't feel right today as he was preparing to go to sleep but he was interrupted again bye Jennifer "Aww, come now Are you not going to please your wife today," she giggled at his she starting to grinding her hips into his as the signs were clear what she want. "Don't tell me I'm losing my touch now ?"
But His response was different by just bringing her entire back down to face him again as he just hugged her tight and made room for her to rest her head on his shoulder.
As she thought it was a perfect time to tease him again "Ooh, is this you taking charge? I could get used to this now." Her techniques still making her body moves to gain his a reaction and his attention but he just hugged her tightly as told her something that she did not expect to hear as She stopped immediately making advancements towards him.
"I love you, Jennifer," he said. "And I promise you, I am never going to leave your side." As Silence filled the there room, as the only noise heard was the sound of the two breathing souls. As he could feel his wife trembling state as in his arms, and how her slow breathing on was his neck. As he then felt her arms grip his back and started to pulling him closer to her.
" Do You mean that ?" As she Just looked at him as her eyes were telling a different story entirely as a voice was basically a whisper itself As she was worried for something.
As he just stared at her seeing her pleading look as she was scared that he was going to leave her if he is right about this she needs to realize something the truth "Yes Every word."
He is never going away and leaving her behind No matter what happens he'll always love her for what she is his wife His best friend "Then hold me tighter."
He did exactly that, holding her tight to him for the entire night. She did the same, probably even harder, not wanting to give even an inch of space between them. There was nothing separating the pair. All they had was themselves.
He didn't permit himself to sleep until she had stopped crying into his shoulder as for two of them hold each other together as they feel safe and until it at all went black.

There was a light mist outside as Ruby, Weiss, Blake, and Yang sat in their dorm. All four of the girls were excited for the upcoming first year student's field trip to the Ventail Mountains that were east of Vale. Each member of team RWBY expressed their excitement in different ways however, while Ruby anxiously awaited Qrow's arrival, she played a game on her scroll, Yang was sitting on Blake's bed as she read a book about the mountain range they were visiting aloud.
Weiss seemed almost panicked as she went through her suitcase to make sure nothing that might be needed was missing, from Dust to clothing, she checked down to every detail, possibility and impossibility. Ruby rolled over to be on her stomach looking at the desk by the door. Weiss was sitting at the desk refolding and repackaging all of her clothes to be practically airtight inside the suitcase. "I'm amazed you don't have a barometer in that suitcase, with how particular about it you are" Ruby said to Weiss as she reorganized the order and position of dust capsules for the 3rd time.
"Well, I'm sorry for trying to save as much space as possible for provisions." Weiss harrumphed at Ruby, closing the suitcase "Besides, I'm finished packing now."
"For the 3rd time tonight, Weiss has accomplished packing a suitcase!" Yang Cheered, her duffle bag was stuffed closed with the outside pockets crammed with shirts and shotgun shells that wouldn't fit inside the main compartment, it was leaning against a dresser with the top drawer on the ground next to the bag, pulled out of the dresser. "Well I didn't just take the closest half of my wardrobe and cram it all into a gym bag! Do you even know where your ammunition is in that thing?"
"Pffft, course I do! Stuffed em in the outer pocket!" Yang said, waving her hand in the general direction of the bag.
Ruby and Yang's scrolls pinged, Ruby's sounded off a line of her favorite song, and Yang's let off an electronic riff. Ruby glanced at the message, "Uncle Qrow is here!" She practically shrieked. Yang stood up and moved towards the door with a smile. Ruby moved to vault off of her bunk, moving her right leg under her stomach into a combination of a diving and sprinting stance. Fear grew in Yang's eyes as she suddenly jumped out of the way of the door and started furiously typing.
Blake, confusedly asked, "Ruby what are you doing here ?". As she finished speaking, a beeping sound came from the hallway, and a flurry of petals pushed off from the bed, causing the back end to bash into the wall due to the rope supports.
Ruby blasted through the doorway, and straight into Qrow in a leaping hug. Qrow almost flew through the air on impact. "Uncle Qrow! You're really here, oh my gosh I have so much to tell you about!" Ruby screamed as she continued embracing the man.
Qrow groaned "Nice to see you too kiddo, now how's about you let me check if you broke my ribs?" Team RWBY and Pyrrha investigated the loud thuds from their dorms and everyone but Yang was shocked to see that Ruby had tackled Qrow to the ground.
Yang shouted cheekily while waving and pivoting to move back into the dorm. "I Tried to warn ya uncle Qro-''
Yang stopped mid-sentence and froze. Ruby looked back at her team and noticed their looks of fear, they looked as if a ursa was in the hall, even Pyrrha appeared terrified. Pyrrha's eyes seemed the size of dinner plates, Ruby turned her head back around at the sound which struck fear into every student of beacon, the sound of Glynda Goodwitch clearing her throat with thinly cloaked wrath.
While not making any kind of specific noise, the ire of Glynda Goodwitch emanated an aura of anger and fear, like a dark shadow of purple and black stretching down the entire hallway, sending chills down the spine's of everyone present. Someone like (JAUNE) before left the school and people here rumored the Professor must've be support for his departure and she has developed some kind of psychological Aura manipulation. In truth, as far as anyone has been able to tell, she was just that absolutely terrifying. Now, in the hallway, Ruby realized the mistake she had just made. Glynda Goodwitch had been knocked over by Ruby Rose. Ruby locked eyes with Qrow, her eyes filled with fear. Her voice was meek. "Uncle Qrow... Help..."
Qrow put on a halfway serious face looking at Ruby, waving his hand, "Sorry kid, not even I can save you from Glynda."
"Miss Rose." Glynda spoke, eye twitching, moving to stand up, "You will be punished, not now, because I will have plenty of opportunities after our departure." The rest of team RWBY jaws dropped, Ruby had, unintentionally or not, hit Glynda Goodwitch and gotten away with it, for now at least.
Qrow quickly said, "Glynda is here to speak to team DNPR, so I recommend that we get into your dorm before she changes her mind and throws you through a wall." Ruby and the rest of her team immediately dashed back into their dorm, Ruby leaving a trail of petals as she went so far as to enable her semblance in her dash.
"Um... Hello Professor Goodwitch how can I help you today..." Pyrrha said as she ducked back into her dorm, as it was barely loud enough for Qrow and Glynda to hear some kind of ruckus was happening.
In the world of Remnant and within the kingdom of Vale, it was currently night time and the luminous glow of the shattered moon bathed the scenery beautifully. Many citizens, both huntsmen students and civilians alike were snugly sleeping in their beds blissfully dreaming of various realities of their long wanted wishes for what they wanted in life.

As we can see the great huntsman in his time Qrow Branwen as he walked into team RWBY's dorm, direction as with a smug look of confidence upon his face as Weiss, Blake and Yang were in a state of amazement when Qrow and Ruby entered the room together as Yang just stared at Ruby and her Uncle, stunned, as she decided to speak up in the moment " The most impressive thing I have seen just that the fact you still have all 4 limbs still intact to your body is a miracle." as she said to her uncle as she just smirk at him and at her little sister.
Ruby just defeatedly lowered her head at this comment and said "I think she's just little waiting for when we get on the mountain and I'm so dead and Not even Uncle Qrow can stop Ms. Goodwitch apparently in her tracks." she told her teammates as they faced towards her but for Weiss just tilted her head to the side quizzically and asked/stated "So You're really Ruby and Yang's uncle?" Her voice was charged with disdain as she did smelled something familiar as then it just click in her mind that the smell of cheap alcohol and only alcohol as it was seeping into the room. As Weiss's words and tone managed to be simultaneously polite and confrontational at best.
But Qrow countered her, "Yup, and you're Weiss Schnee the miniature celebrity." Yang and Ruby snickered at the countering of implied and obvious insults and insults obvious to anyone who knew Qrow Branwen.
But as Weiss just flustered and stuttered for a moment before angrily, and loudly stating "What's 'miniature' supposed to mean? I'm famous across Remnant"
Qrow simply stated again and before taking a swig from a flask, "Wasn't talking about your music, shortstack". Blake simply watched the ensuing explosion for a minute but as for Ruby and Yang who were just rolled in there laughter and Weiss was be exploded at a smug Qrow. Weiss's flood of non-vulgar insults was only drowned out by Yang and Ruby's howling laughter as they just watching the spectacle unfolding before them.
After a moment as when everyone had calmed down, Blake asked just in a calm voice, "You're Qrow Branwen, correct?" As Qrow looked at her, and raised one of his an eyebrow at her but the As him and Blake shared a look for a few seconds, a short staredown of two people who had an idea of who the other was.
As then suddenly ruby decided to jumped in there conversation and confused about their stare down at the moment "What's going on here?" As she asked her teammates and Uncle concerned and confused,as she switching her gaze between the two of them rapidly. "Blake Belladonna Yang told me so much about you over the scroll call We had a couple of weeks ago and It's nice to meet you in person finally." Qrow said it with a smiled on his face and started to reaching out for a handshake.
As Blake saw this gesture towards her as she decide to returned the handshake back to him "It's nice to meet you too Mr. Branwen as yang and Ruby talk so much about you." as she told him this.
"None of that, just Qrow, It makes me look old." The man said as he was shaking his head as he took a drink of mystery alcohol from his flaws That was beside his waist. "My Apologies." Blake said to him as she started to straightening herself up and started to bowing her head slightly as an apology towards him.
As when he saw what she was doing " ho Do not worry about it kid" As Qrow responded back to her as he was waving it off with his hands as the entire incident that just transpired in just a few moments of there conversation but As for Weiss she is with a look of contempt and as she moved to attempt to interrogate the man but she then had pointedly asked him, "You are aware it is against Beacon policy and Valean law to drink in public or on school grounds?" As she told him this as he just stared at her.
But then Qrow decided to shot back at her "If I spot such a ne'er-do-well I will let you know and But let's cut to the chase." Qrow moved to stand by the window "Im chaperoning the four of you and much to Glynda's displeasure and mine so we are driving four days through the Forever Fall Forest and then though the Emerald Forest, and then setting up we will be setting up camp for three days where an Atlas specialist will arrive by bullhead to lead a course on Winter Survival and strategy in snowy terrain." Qrow motioned at Weiss, "You should be well acquainted and considering it's your sister Winter Schnee will be running the show once we get there." as he informs them all about their plan and schedules ahead of them.
But then Yang just looked at Weiss with a shocked expression and then exclaimed "Weiss, we knew that you had a big sister, but you never told us she was a Professor in Atlas!" As she was quite shock at the moment and started to understand why she behaves like this to begin with.
As then Weiss started to explained with beaming with pride on her face "She isn't just a professor at Atlas academy but My big sister Winter is a Special Operative in the Atlesian armed forces And why didn't you tell us before ahead? '' Weiss said as she suddenly turning towards and pointing at Qrow direction "Do you Not say Winter was going to be there earlier!? I'll have to repack to her preparation standards!". As she told him as she was getting ready to do it right now.
As then Qrow was pushing his finger down on to the Windows ledge and then said " and then as I said I was getting there and we got some housekeeping to do before we leave and if you'd let me get on with the boring stuff" As then Weiss started to backed off from him and went back to sat on her bed and then obviously suppressing what she thought to be an undignified excitement. "Thanks Weiss and Anyways, I've got this 13 page's of article that Glynda has gave it to me." As Qrow started to bridge inside of his pockets and brought out a piece of paper as he started to held up in the air a packet of paper entitled "Rules and Requirements for Huntsman safety during Beacon Sanctioned Field Trips and Excursions'' Anyways, I didn't write this, and I sure didn't read it. You all are 17 and plus Ruby, and you can handle yourselves without 136 points and regulations to avoid illegal incidents and safety issues and Anyone actually want to read this be my guest ?" As He told this to his students at this moment as everyone was looking around each other who will do it.
As Weiss kept on looking around Her teammates as she was thinking one of them will but after a few moments of silence no one was going to read the note as she was very disappointed with them "Nobody else will so I'll read it my self." but as Weiss sighed at there Ations as Qrow then tossed It to the Packet into Weiss's lap but As Weiss started to flipped it open and starting to read it out as will understand the rules of this lessons they're going to have " And Brothers know Ruby and Yang wont read it."
Blake than curiously asked, "So what are we doing for food on the trip? I don't believe any of us packed any beyond snacks for this trip to begin with" Blake said and asked their new teacher on this trip as she pointed at the snack bag was basically empty at this moment for some reasons as she looked at her two teammates who were whistling innocently as looking away at the moment.
As then Qrow started to responded Back to them about this matter as well " Don't worry about that but There's a gas station around eight blocks away from the shuttle landing site of the academy and the public city as go grab some junk food or something I don't know and remember get some Instant Calzones or something with It " As Qrow told this to his students as then he threw an obviously cheap and thin wallet at Ruby direction " As Other than that, I've got a crate of MRE's that I have borrowed from Winter last time I saw her and so meals are on her." as he spoke with a smirk on his face
Then suddenly then Weiss jumped up from her bed as she had a mix of confusion and anger ran through her voice towards her teacher, "You stole from my sister?! And how do You know my sister!?" As she then demanded to answers from him.
But then Qrow started to took another swig of mystery booze He was carrying with him and then he started to chuckled a bit "so I do Know her? I've worked with her before a bunches If you ask me, she's always fun to f*** with, and I did not steal, I involuntarily requesting." as he told her this with a smirk on his face as he started to rub his crouch for a moment there as what was he even was applied in the first of all.
But Yang just started to snickered at her uncles poor choice of words towards her teammate as she can see she was ready to fight him or scream at him "Poor choice of words there Unc!" With her arms raiders defensively to block any incoming thrown objects at her direction.
As Weiss just started to screamed like a banshee e as she started to throwing things at her teacher and teammates as her arms to her sides as well "Banish the thought you pervert You f****** monster !'" As she kept on screaming and throwing trash at him.
"By the way," As Qrow started to stated "If you want to talk before the trip or Something related to worms or have a problem You don't understand or anything That kind just please call me." but then All of a sudden Blake and Weiss's scrolls started to beeped sounds could be heard and hit a piano note respectively as they something team on their phones and it was a number "And we can talk." As Qrow started to get up from the windows ledge and started to moved towards the door entrance "Also, Yang I almost forgot something important the passcode to the garage with the bus's we will be traveling in is 1080", but you didn't hear that from me ok " Qrow as he started leave the room with a wink and a wave and closed the door on his way out.
As Weiss just turn towards her teammate "I cannot believe that's your uncle to begin with as You're all so proud of him " Weiss said in disbelief as Someone like him is even a teacher in a school and their is one uncle to begin with an in responsible person to begin with as she started to pinching the bridge of her nose in frustration who she just met a moment ago, "He's rude to the students who are live here and he drunk on school premises and another other students and teachers!" As she told this to her teammates.
Yang waved it off, "He's always drunk Weiss and I thought he was funny... Shortstack '' As then Weiss shot up from her bed and faster than a bullet train and marched towards her angrily up to confront Yang and but Unfortunately things did not go as planned as Weiss only reached up to Yang's chest and they both knew it. Yang had an ear-to-ear grin on her face as she just smirk at that on her.
As Weiss just turn way to other side "I may be trying to be nice now and but call me that again and I'll take a pair of clippers to your hair of your os pound of." Weiss seethed as she was going to the pair of clippers on the desks as she planning to grab them and preparing them for her use.
But suddenly Yang rose from were she was sated to her full height and declared at her teammates direction as she was glaring her with her red eyes "You wouldn't dare, ice queen!" With an expression of mock shock on her face as there was staring contest.
But Blake decided it was a good time to chime in between them and declared something, "I thought he was funny." as she was rising her hand's as a peace offering. "Well he didn't insult you!" Weiss exclaimed and now staring at her as she exasperated as it was directed at another friend.
"Well, I'm going to get snacks for the road ready! And I want DmD's or cookies bags!" Ruby said to her teammates and as she was jumping up from her bed. "And you are coming with and buying candy! And I know you've been deprived of true junk food in that mansion of yours!" Ruby them get of her bed and then grabbed on to Weiss's arm and dragged her out of the room in a stream of red and white petals as quickly vanishing.
But then Yang quickly shouted at her little sister and teammates "Ruby! Wallet! And buy me some of the Coffee DmDs !! When you're at it" As she told them this but then Ruby blasted into room again and then out of the room "ThanksYanggood luckwith whateveryouaredoingtothevan" She said ducking in and out of the room and with the wallet in tow this time.
But then a minute passed away peacefully and silently as Yang decided it was time as she started to gathered a few odds and weird from closet and started to stuffed them in the remaining space in the pockets of the duffle she had with her and she was glancing at Blake every so often five minutes later, as Blake started tapping the floor with her foot.
"Alright, I'll bite then! Why did Qrow give you the passcode to the bus's to begin with what are you people planning?" Blake asked curiously got the better of her and throwing her hands up in the air in mock defeat instructing teammates Has she did not even look at her direction for the moment.
"Well let's go find out what we're working with!" Yang said, grabbing two pairs of safety glasses that were stashed in a drawer. Yang quickly dashed at Blake, with Blake jumping out of the way But for Yang had expected the move she will move and caught Blake by the calf and started to swinging Blake with her own momentum onto Yang's shoulder as then Yang grabbed onto Blake's back using her strength to make sure Blake couldn't use a shadow clone to escape. Yang opened the door with Blake hammering at her back with her fist's, Yang laughed as the pair moved into the hallway.
"Put me down!" Yelled Blake, and, as the pair descended the stairs, Blake looked back down the hallway and saw Goodwitch giving a look of exasperation and disbelief for what was definitely not even top 5 on list of odd things she had seen today.

The sea was calm and quiet and with Black waters covered the world without a single break, spreading all the way to the horizon. Black sky joined with almost equally black ocean. The waxing broken moon reflected upon the glassy mountain surface as it touches the sea and with Countless stars lit the clear night, little pinpricks hovering in the vast emptiness of the beyond and it was a beautiful view.
The wind started to threw up huge clouds of dust from the night-bleached ground and howled eerily as it rattled the branched of the dead and dying trees and whipped through the rusted carcasses of hundreds of cars were around the area as which saturated the old roads in wasteland that had once been a population hub in city of empathy in the kingdom of vale next city of vale and as It used to touch the frontier towns once upon a Time In amongst the desolation and carnage was another sound which was completely out of place, the Grimm but not a normal one to begin with as it was hound but different with the rest of his brethren as it had a mission as it hummed tunelessly as it weaved in and out of the rusty shells stopping occasionally to scan the remains of the deceased that lay within.
