Chapter 69 - PWA 69 Kasumi's Move Combination

... It is a move combination that will surely be suitable for Kasumi!

Fusing Water type move Bubble Beam with Ghost type move Shadow Ball, the blue dress white haired girl began first with channeling the Ghost type energy in her palm of hands.

But instead of forming a single powerful ball, she make the ghostly power in her hands gathered in a cluster of bubbles, covered by a Water Type energy before she is shooting out the ghostly bubbles like how a Pokémon would sprayed out their Bubble Beam!

I wake up feeling refreshed, and I also felt very energetic as I want to teach Kasumi the move combination I have learned in my dream as soon as possible!

.....

After having a hearty breakfast of Grumpig bacons and omelette rice made from an unknown egg, I bid my farewell to my parents and go to Katsura family house to pickup Kotonoha before we both will go to continue on our journey.

On the way out of town, I explained the dream that I have last night to Kotonoha and asked if she would like it for Kasumi to try and learn that move combination.

Kotonoha is of course felt elated with my explanation and she is even giving me a surprise by giving a sneaky kiss on my cheek before she blushingly took out Kasumi from her pokeball after we have gotten out of town.

Kasumi quickly learns her first ever move combination and she eagerly tried it out on all wild Pokémons that we have encountered along the way.

Needless to say, Kasumi's new move combination is very very powerful.

Not only does it receives Double Same Type Attack Bonus due to her being a Ghost/Water type and fusing both a Ghost and a Water type moves, this move combination also have a chance to reduce her foe's Speed and Special Defense.

I named that move Shadow Beam, courtesy to the white haired blue dress girl who teach me in my dream.

(Author's Note: And thank you RecentMap7, who have inspired me to make this move 😆🍻)

But it's too bad that most of the wild Pokémons on the route between Klepon Town and Jelly Bean Town have Normal Type as one if not all of their typing.

That makes Shadow Beam move combination only capable of showing only half of its power, due to its Ghost Type Energy imbued within the move dealing zero damage, leaving only the Water type energy to do most of the work downing the enemies that we have encountered.

That move are still a One Hit Kill All move, though, due to how powerful our Pokémons have grown with all the intense trainings that we have even though we have only started our journey as Pokémon Trainers less than 5 days ago.

And of course, while our Pokémons are having a battle with the wild Pokémons, I have also never missed the chance to use my Pokédex to scan any new Pokémon that we have encountered to increase the number of Pokédex entries I have collected.

.....

[Rattata, the Rat Pokémon, is a Normal Type Pokémon.]

[Living wherever there is food available, it ceaselessly scavenges for edibles the entire day. Bites anything when it attacks. This Pokémon's impressive vitality allows it to live almost anywhere. Being small and very quick, it is a common sight in many places as it also multiplies very quickly. If you see one, then it is certain that there are 40 more live in the area. Rattata is cautious in the extreme. Even while it is asleep, it constantly listens by moving its ears around. However, it is also not picky about where it lives, as it will make its nest almost anywhere.]

[Rattata's incisors grow continuously throughout its life. If its Trainer doesn't offer it a file to gnaw on, it will gnaw on many other things like door frames, table legs, and so on. If its incisors get too long, this Pokémon becomes unable to eat, and it starves to death.]

What are you, Rattata? Are you a rat or a cockroach? Your numbers are twice more than even the cockroaches in my former world. Also, what is with that cause of death? That's just sad.

As I mumbled and retorted on the new Pokémon's entry on my Pokédex, I moved on from the Rattata which is being beaten up by Phinia to the Patrats that are being played to their KO by Shion plus Zozo and the Sentret which is being sprayed by Kasumi with her new move combination.

.....

[Patrat, the Scout Pokémon, is a Normal Type Pokémon.]

[Patrat is using the food that is being stored in their cheek pouches so that they can keep watch for days. Being extremely cautious, they take shifts to maintain a constant watch of their nest, as they feel insecure without a lookout. One of them will always be on the lookout, but even then it won't notice a foe that is coming from behind. Patrat use their tails to communicate with each others.]

.....

[Sentret, the Scout Pokémon, is a Normal Type Pokémon.]

[When Sentret sleeps, it does so while another stands guard. The sentry wakes the others at the first sign of danger. When this Pokémon becomes separated from its pack, it becomes incapable of sleep due to fear.]

[Sentret has a very nervous nature. It stands up high on its tail so it can scan a long way on a wide areas. When acting as a lookout, Sentret warns the other of its kin about the danger by screeching loudly and hitting the ground with its tail.]

Funny how both Patrat and Sentret are called Scout Pokémon, and both are pure Normal Type, too.

Both also used their tails in one way and another to communicate with their kins.

Could it be that those two Pokémon species are actually related? Hmmm..... This is another mystery and research materials for Professor Oak.

Next after the land Pokémons, we moved on to scan the fliers that are being shot down by Shion and Kasumi on our next encounters.

.....

[Pidgey, the Tiny Bird Pokémon, is a Dual Type Normal and Flying Pokémon.]

[Pidgey has an extremely sharp sense of direction. It is capable of unerringly returning home to its nest, however far it may be removed from its familiar surroundings. A common sight in grassy areas, forests and woods. It hides in tall grass and so on, foraging for food such as small bugs. It often flaps its wings at ground level to kick up blinding sand.]

[Pidgey is very docile and prefers to avoid conflict. If it is being disturbed, it will often kick up sand to protect itself from the potential foe rather than fighting back. However, it can also ferociously strike back if it is being attacked.]

.....

[Spearow, the Tiny Bird Pokémon, is a Dual Type Normal and Flying Pokémon.]

[Spearow has a very loud cry that can be heard over half a mile away. If its high, keening cry is heard echoing all around, it is a sign that they are warning each other of danger. Its short wings make it inept at flying. It moves about hurriedly and pecks at Bug-type Pokémon in the tall grass, its favourite food. Farmers whose fields are troubled by bug Pokémon appreciate Spearow for its vigorous appetite and look after it. Spearows has a reckless nature that leads it to stand up to others, even larger Pokémons, if it has to protect its territory.]

Hmm..... One is usually docile while the others are reckless to default, even though those two species are both called Tiny Bird Pokémon and have the same dual typing, but they are a stark contrast to each other.

.....

While both me and Kotonoha are taking our sweet time training and battling the wild Pokémons on our way, we both eventually arrived on the Jelly Bean Town on the next day.

I am having a chaste sleep with Kotonoha at night with us hugging each other while we only wear minimal clothing under our sleeping bag as she still seems to be not ready to take the next step.

[ ] Author's Note [ ]

By the way, do you know? Makoto is actually the son of Sekai's Grandfather and Setsuna's Great Grandfather, thus making him actually the Uncle of Sekai and a Grand-Uncle of Setsuna.

Makoto's father, Tomaru Sawagoe, is also the father of Youko Inou and Kagura Inou from his union with his "sister", Moegi Inou.

Why sister with " " sign? Because Tomaru Sawagoe is the son born from his father's mistress while Moegi Inou is the daughter of her father's nominal wive, thus making them a pair of siblings with the same father but different mother.

Ooohhhh Mai Goddd... The relationship between characters in School Days franchise sure are messed up, huh?

Good thing that MY Kotonoha Katsura is safe from that complete mess 😅
