He got startled and almost knocked over the cauldron in his fright.
"Watch out, boy! Are you crazy?! You're going to burn yourself!"
Matthew quickly pulled himself away from the cauldron. But fortunately, he hadn't been burned. Spiritual energy had protected him. "Sigh. Sir, if you hadn't suddenly appeared, that wouldn't have happened."
"Hahaha." The old man burst out laughing and looked at Matthew's arm, expecting to apply some healing ointment, but he didn't have any. "That didn't even hurt you? You're good, kid! No wonder the Family Lord wants to train you."
"Are you my alchemy trainer?" Matthew asked.
"Yes," he said, grabbing one of the potions Matthew had made while ignoring him almost completely. He sniffed it and then tasted a little. His eyes sparkled with interest, and he turned to look at him. "For a beginner, you're really good. I've never tasted such a good healing potion in my whole life. What's your secret?" he asked, genuinely amazed.
