Tomioka Giyu was a Demon Slayer. He was the Water Hashira, though he felt as if he does not deserve the position, feeling that he was not like the rest of the Hashira. But worst of all, he is alone, a guilt engine running at full throttle, being a man of very few words and isn't very good interacting with others. 
Giyu doesn't care that he's lonely. Oh who was he kidding, he absolutely feels lonely. But maybe it was better this way, better to let people misunderstand him, call him all sorts of names, than risk connection and then loss, again.
That was his life, until one night he had a dream where he met with his deceased best friend. A dream that changed his life for the better.
