"I'm sorry Scarlett." Coral apologized to me her eyes teary as the little boat began to sail into the big blue sea. "I didn't mean to push you. I was just playing."
I swallowed wondering if she meant it for real.
She had done it before.
Apologizing and still being bitter towards me.
And then she held my small hands. "You're my twin sister. I don't think anything should come in between us. Please."
My heart melted almost instantly.
She threw her hands around me and hugged me while I absorbed the warmth.
"It's okay Coral. I forgive you." I said as I rubbed her back.
She smiled at me once she let go.
Nanny Rachel sat watching us like a hawk looking at chicks for dinner.
"Your majesties." She said. "I do hope you have no intentions on doing anything naughty."
I shook my head.
She didn't seem convinced. Not in the least. The monthly fishing expeditions we had come to learn were us getting accustomed to the Sea and its inhabitants.
