Chapter 356 - Chapter 356: Tsunade: The Price Must Increase

"It still hasn't worked. Maybe I really don't have a talent for Space-Time techniques." On the eleventh day after obtaining the Flying Thunder God, Mutsuki looked at his status panel and sighed slightly.

He had already been doing his best in training. In the past ten days, he neither studied Sealing Jutsu nor developed the Breathing Technique; he had immersed himself in learning the Flying Thunder God, even using Shadow Clones. However, after ten days of effort, there was still no sign of any proficiency level.

"I'll try for another month. If it doesn't work, I'll just give up," Mutsuki decided to continue training according to his original plan.

In the following month, he would continue practicing the Flying Thunder God, but unlike the first ten days where he focused solely on it, he would now balance it with Sealing Jutsu. After that, he'd prioritize medical knowledge and then the Breathing Technique. If after the next month there was still no sign of proficiency in the Flying Thunder God, Mutsuki would temporarily give up on it.

Although Mutsuki is only nineteen and has a long life ahead of him, his disciples will face danger in the short term. Mutsuki must grow as quickly as possible; he cannot waste time stubbornly pursuing the Flying Thunder God without seeing any proficiency level improvement.

In the mornings, Mutsuki continued teaching his disciples as usual, and in the afternoons, he attended classes at the Academy.

Although Mutsuki had already learned a lot of Ninjutsu, there was no such thing as knowing too many techniques, and repeatedly acquiring them could also increase proficiency levels.

[Completed a lecture class] [Evaluation: A] [Reward obtained: Earth Release: Hiding in Rock Jutsu, Water Release: Heavenly Weeping]

Mutsuki no longer deliberately aimed for B-rank evaluations to obtain Chakra, as taking his disciples on missions was a faster way to gather it.

After bidding farewell to the students, Mutsuki went to his office to put his things away.

Now, Mutsuki had his own private office as vice principal, no longer sharing one with other sensei like before.

Actually, Mutsuki didn't care much about this kind of thing. For him, it didn't matter where he worked, as it wouldn't affect his ability to earn rewards. However, having a vice principal nearby might make the regular senseis feel a bit uncomfortable, so Mutsuki decided to move out.

"Mutsuki, um... Principal," Ueda Aya and others who happened to be passing by instinctively wanted to greet him, but midway through, they remembered that Mutsuki was now the vice principal, so they quickly corrected themselves.

"Ueda-sensei, Chitani-sensei, you just finished class, right? The Third-sama is the principal, I'm only the vice principal. You can just call me the same as before," Mutsuki responded with a smile and a nod.

Mutsuki preferred being called "sensei" rather than "principal." After all, when someone called him "principal," he couldn't help but think of a certain superior principal from his past.

"Yes, Yumi-sensei, I just finished teaching a Ninjutsu class," Ueda Aya replied with a relaxed smile, feeling more at ease after seeing Mutsuki's gentle expression.

Since they were familiar with each other, Mutsuki chatted for a bit before heading back to his office to put his things away.

"He got promoted faster than anyone, but strangely, it's impossible to feel any jealousy," Chitani Isamu sighed as he watched Mutsuki's departing figure.

In less than two years at the Academy, a sensei had risen to the unprecedented position of vice principal. If it had been anyone else, Chitani Isamu would have been overwhelmingly envious, but when it came to Mutsuki, he couldn't muster a hint of jealousy.

There was simply no reason to be jealous. Mutsuki's achievements justified his position. He had led an exceptionally strong class, the likes of which had never been seen before. He had also introduced special vacation training and graduation internships, both of which yielded great results.

It wasn't just his accomplishments; Mutsuki's character also left no room for envy. Despite his meteoric rise and vastly superior strength, Mutsuki's attitude toward his colleagues never changed. He never looked down on them.

"Well, it's Yumi-sensei, after all," Ueda Aya sighed softly.

With Mutsuki being so handsome and treating others so kindly, it was impossible for her not to have feelings. However, Mutsuki was so perfect that it made her feel inferior, making her too self-conscious to approach him.

After Mutsuki became vice principal, she completely gave up any hopes, feeling the gap between them was too large. They probably wouldn't even have much to talk about anymore.

After putting his things away, Mutsuki went to buy groceries and headed to Tsunade's house. Since Tsunade, in her laid-back state, was willing to help him with his disciple, Mutsuki didn't mind cooking a little in return.

Because Mutsuki's cooking was so delicious, Rin would also stay for a meal whenever Mutsuki was around.

"Why is today's meal so light? There's only one dish with meat—stir-fried pork with chili," Tsunade, who liked to eat meat and drink alcohol, complained.

"Sometimes it's good to change things up. If you really want to eat more meat, you can go out and buy some prepared food," Mutsuki said with a smile, offering an excuse.

The truth was, Mutsuki just felt like eating vegetarian today, but of course, he wouldn't say it so bluntly.

"Fine, but don't think about taking the meat from me. It's a serious offense for a student to steal food from their sensei," Tsunade joked, quickly using her Chakra-enhanced hand to grab the slices of meat into her bowl.

For Tsunade, Mutsuki's meat dishes were better than his vegetarian ones, but his cooking was far superior to anything available outside. She'd rather eat his vegetarian food than go out to buy meat dishes.

As the spicy and flavorful meat entered her mouth, Tsunade couldn't help but show a blissful smile. Her two greatest pleasures now were eating Mutsuki's cooking and spending time at the casino.

However, Tsunade couldn't handle spicy food very well. After eating several pieces of the meat mixed with rice, she had to stick out her tongue to cool down.

"Tsunade-sama, water," Shizune expertly handed a glass of cold water to Tsunade.

After gulping it down, Tsunade gave Shizune a thumbs-up and continued eating.

"Mutsuki, couldn't you put more meat in the stir-fried pork with chili? I'll even pay for the extra meat," Tsunade complained when she noticed that most of the dish was chili peppers after a while.

"There's already plenty. If he added more, it won't taste the same," Shizune responded, having memorized Mutsuki's explanation after hearing it many times.

Mutsuki nodded in approval, giving her an appreciative look.

"Shizune, you've been corrupted by Mutsuki. You dare tease me now," Tsunade playfully tugged on Shizune's cheeks.

"Mm-mm... Rin-chan, help me," Shizune pleaded with her eyes, looking toward Rin for rescue.

Rin responded with a helpless look and continued eating.

After dinner, Rin went home, and Mutsuki shared his recent development insights with Tsunade.

"Actually, I have a Ninjutsu that's similar to your idea, but you won't be able to learn it. Besides, it's not very practical," Tsunade said, revealing the existence of the Yin Seal to Mutsuki after seeing that he had almost grasped the concept.

The Yin Seal was a Ninjutsu passed down from her grandmother, Mito, which allowed the user to store a large amount of Chakra within their body.

However, as Jiraiya had mentioned before, using Sealing Jutsu inside the body was delicate and difficult to master. A sudden release of stored Chakra could easily cause internal Chakra imbalances.

Of course, that didn't mean the Yin Seal was flawed. In fact, Tsunade believed that the Yin Seal was an incomplete Ninjutsu, and she once had ideas for further development, but she no longer had the motivation to pursue them.

"If you can solve these difficulties, you should be able to create the Ninjutsu you want," Tsunade explained, outlining all the drawbacks of the Yin Seal to Mutsuki.

After speaking, Tsunade directly took out the scroll recording the Yin Seal and handed it to Mutsuki.

"Thank you, Tsunade-sama," Mutsuki accepted the scroll without hesitation and expressed his gratitude.

Although he couldn't practice the Yin Seal himself, studying it would likely save him a lot of time by helping him understand related concepts. After all, he had a natural talent for Sealing Jutsu. In terms of learning speed, he was even faster than Kushina.

"Tomorrow, I'll make sure to find a good chicken and prepare some steamed chicken for you," Mutsuki promised, hinting at a delicious meal for the next day.

"Just one chicken? The Yin Seal is an S-rank Ninjutsu, an S-rank!" Tsunade crossed her arms, emphasizing the Ninjutsu's high ranking.

Whether it was practical or not, the Yin Seal was indeed an S-rank Ninjutsu.

Mutsuki understood—it called for something more. So, he corrected himself, promising to prepare an all-meat feast for Tsunade tomorrow, which finally brought a satisfied smile to her face.

"If the Chakra released from the seal could immediately trigger a specific Ninjutsu, wouldn't that solve the issue of Chakra chaos?" Mutsuki then proposed an idea.

"For example, automatically using Medical Ninjutsu. This way, your body could heal itself while you fight," Mutsuki suggested.

Tsunade looked at Mutsuki in amazement. This idea aligned perfectly with one she had thought of before, but she hadn't shared it with anyone.

"You could even maintain a constant, specific output of Chakra throughout the day, keeping your body in a Ninjutsu state to benefit from some of the effects of Medical Ninjutsu," Mutsuki continued, describing the concept behind the Strength of a Hundred Technique.

Tsunade was even more surprised—Mutsuki's idea was more refined than her own.

"Could he also be a genius in this area?" Tsunade couldn't help but wonder to herself.

"That's a great idea. If it can be realized, the Yin Seal would become much more valuable," Tsunade nodded, acknowledging the potential.

Mutsuki kept smiling. Of course, it was a good idea—because it was the concept behind Tsunade's future development, the Strength of a Hundred Technique.

He hoped that Tsunade could develop the Strength of a Hundred Technique earlier. This would not only allow Mutsuki to gain valuable experience but also make it easier to discuss his own Ninjutsu development with her, as both techniques were fundamentally similar.

...

"That should be about right. Let's give it a try," Chen-sensei said, patting Guy on the body.

"Yes," Guy nodded firmly, adjusting his breathing to its peak in order to enhance his body.

"It's happening again," Genma and Ebisu, seeing the scene unfold, instinctively stepped back and started to watch.

After the Chunin Exams, Guy had undergone continuous Breathing Technique training with Mutsuki. Upon returning to Chen-sensei, he had been primarily practicing the Konoha Dragon God technique, though with little success.

The Konoha Dragon God requires a high physical standard. During the Chunin Exams, Guy had forcefully opened the fourth gate to barely pull it off, but he couldn't train like that on a daily basis—otherwise, he'd end up in the hospital after each session, which wasn't practical.

Thus, Guy had been focusing on strengthening his body, trying to use the Konoha Dragon God with the Three Gates open alongside Total Concentration Breathing. The Eight Inner Gates doesn't provide a fixed boost; the stronger the body, the greater the effect of the Gates.

"Eight Inner Gates, Gate of Opening, Open! Gate of Rest, Open! Gate of Life, Open!" Guy shouted, glaring ahead as he quickly opened the three gates.

The Three Gates represented Guy's current limit; opening the Fourth Gate would require a forced push that could severely injure his body.

Once the Three Gates were open, Guy's aura surged dramatically, causing the surrounding leaves to be blown away by his powerful presence.

He activated a large amount of Chakra within his body to strengthen himself and, when his aura peaked, he sprang into action.

"Konoha Dragon God!"

Guy spun violently, and as time seemed to accelerate, a massive amount of Chakra erupted forth, gradually forming a green dragon.

The appearance of the dragon created a tremendous suction, pulling in everything nearby and tearing it apart.

As they watched the giant trees being shredded, Ebisu and Genma instinctively stepped back again.

"Did he succeed? This feels so powerful!" Genma said, squinting his eyes.

"It should be. Before, it was just random chaos that dissipated, and the power was much less than this," Ebisu replied, shielding his eyes from the dust cloud as he analyzed the situation.

They had stepped back because Guy's previous attempts had nearly affected them, but fortunately, Chen-sensei acted quickly; otherwise, they would have had to endure the same treatment as Kakashi in the finals.

"It's starting to look good," Chen-sensei nodded with a slight smile.

Guy was his most satisfactory student—talented and diligent. With his skills in Taijutsu, Chen-sensei didn't have to worry about a lack of successors.

"Konoha Dragon God!"

Seeing Guy succeed, Chen-sensei also unleashed his Chakra to use the Konoha Dragon God, summoning an even larger, more robust dragon.

As the massive dragon appeared, it immediately charged toward Guy, who, without a moment's hesitation, collided with it.

Boom!

The collision of the two dragons created a massive storm, with fierce winds howling and toppling the surrounding trees. Ebisu and Genma wisely stepped back a little further.

"The gap between people is truly vast," Genma reminisced about his school days.

Back then, he could exchange a few blows with Guy during practical exams, but now even the aftermath of a fight with Guy could potentially injure him.

"This isn't bad, is it?" Ebisu said, channeling Chakra into his feet.

He had long lost the desire to compare himself with Guy and was just happy to have such a strong teammate and an excellent sensei.

"Of course! This is Guy we're talking about; the sense of security is unmatched," Genma replied with a smile.

With Guy around, Genma never felt nervous during missions.

As they chatted, the situation changed rapidly.

Boom!

Chen-sensei, after all, was known as the strongest Taijutsu Ninja in Konoha. The smaller green dragon was quickly shattered, and Guy was sent flying from the impact.

"Truly impressive, Chen-sensei! What powerful strength!" Guy sprang up with a carp leap and gave Chen-sensei a thumbs-up.

"This kick represents thirty years of effort, but with your talent, you should be on par with me after another ten years of practice," Chen-sensei replied, smiling as he canceled the Konoha Dragon God.

"If only that kid had half your determination," Chen-sensei said, shaking his head as he thought of another disciple.

Not knowing who Chen-sensei was referring to, Guy scratched his head.

However, he quickly stopped thinking about it because his mind was solely focused on wanting to have another fierce battle with Kakashi.

Although he still couldn't normally open the Fourth Gate, his current strength was different from when he took the Chunin exam; he might not be weaker than when he had to forcibly open the Fourth Gate.
