Chapter 5029 - Chapter 4085: MU: Super Body Major Event (128)

Spider-Man's attack focused entirely on Arkham Batman. Shiller was firing a laser gun from the side, but no one paid him any mind. The laser gun could hardly hit Spider-Man but could sever their Spider Silk, making them lose their aerial combat ability, and on the ground, confronting Arkham Batman head-on was like infantry crashing into a tank.

Although in terms of statistics, Spider-Man is technically the tank, unfortunately, Arkham Batman is a game character, and as long as his health bar lights up, it leads to a combo until death, with an execution animation that never repeats.

The Spider-Men gradually realized that this wasn't working, so some of the more clever ones decided to deal with Shiller, who was causing trouble from the side. They came, they screamed, they left, and eventually, they all obediently returned to battling Batman.

The Spider-Men's plan was sound, as they outnumbered their opponent, and by taking turns, they could surely tire him out. Besides, they had reinforcements on the way; as long as they held out, victory would still be theirs when the more powerful reinforcements arrived.

To avoid being caught off guard, the Spider-Men didn't dare to trade injuries as before, mainly opting for rotational harassment without getting too close.

But even so, Arkham Batman managed to catch two Spider-Men, breaking one's neck and nearly slicing another one in half, both glowing in white light.

Moreover, as they fought, the Spider-Men noticed something off: "Why is this guy never tired?!"

The Spider-Mens' harassment, after all, involved strength far beyond that of ordinary people, with random crashes equating to the force of a train. In such a circumstance, the physical and mental stamina required for battle is staggering; for someone to engage in combat for half an hour would already be considered exceptionally robust.

Yet, they'd been sieging Arkham Batman for more than an hour with no signs of fatigue from him, his punches still speedy, kicks powerful, catching them only to perform a twelve-hit aerial combo.

Though Spider-Man provided timely rescue, injuries were inevitable; four or five Spider-Men had already broken ribs, and one had three long gashes on his back from a Finger Tiger, almost suffering from excessive blood loss.

Fortunately, they had healing serums from the Central Universe Command Center to sustain them for a while. The healing serum was good except that continuous use diminished its effectiveness considerably and carried the risk of turning one into a Lizard.

Such potions were meant for post-battle recovery and not for urgent healing during combat. While others drugs existed for immediate recovery, none allowed unrestricted usage without any side effects.

"Damn it!" Gwen Spiderman got knocked away again. She cursed but still got up from the ground.

Her disadvantage was her lesser weight compared to other Spider-Men, making her easy to knock away. Though Spider Silk helped grip the ground, sticking too hard risked bones being shattered by the force.

"Hey! Catch this!" Main Universe Spiderman tossed her another serum. Gwen Spiderman injected it into her arm, feeling her faintly aching bones gradually heal.

She suddenly felt an itch on her neck and reached up to find rough, reptile-like scales.

"Hiss..." Gwen Spiderman took a sharp breath, realizing she could no longer use the serum, lest she transform into Gwen Lizard.

"My God!" Another Spider-Man landed, rolled twice, stood up covered in dust, limping over, and said, "This guy's a monster! Stronger than the Wolf Spider! My back…"

Main Universe Spiderman saw his companions dwindling and grew increasingly anxious inside. Spider-Man, naturally skilled in close combat, lacked long-range attack methods, and lethal options, just their luck to face an enemy like Arkham Batman, making their heads buzz.

Receiving the distress call from Shadow Spider-man, Main Universe Spiderman had eagerly volunteered to lead, wanting to cleanse Main Universe's disgrace, yet found himself in a hard spot each time.

But then again, if it wasn't such bad luck, this Main Universe wouldn't have been foisted on them.

Main Universe Spiderman clenched his teeth and charged at Arkham Batman again, feigning a frontal attack, but flipped mid-air to his back, grabbing Batman's cape and yanking it fiercely.

Being strong as he was, Spider-Man pulled Arkham Batman back several steps. Seeing an opportunity, Main Universe Spiderman swung the cloak, flinging Arkham Batman into the air.

He shot a Spider Silk onto the wall, kicking at Arkham Batman. But at this moment, Arkham Batman moved laterally in a physically impossible manner.

Main Universe Spiderman couldn't stop mid-air; his kick landed right in front of Arkham Batman, who floatingly caught his neck.

"No!!!!" Other Spider-Men's eyes almost popped out.

Arkham Batman could have snapped Main Universe Spiderman's neck directly but instead, after grabbing him, slammed him heavily onto the ground.

The Main Universe Spiderman rolled several meters away. In the corner of his eye, Arkham Batman slowly landed, his cape slightly dirty.

This guy can clearly fly. The Main Universe Spiderman almost wanted to laugh; he had thought the descriptions of Spiderman in the "Gotham Travel Notes" were somewhat artistically exaggerated, but now it seems, they weren't artistic enough!

The Spiderman of the Movie Universe was also stunned: something's wrong, how could Batman fly? Didn't he not have this ability before?

Arkham Batman's cape moved without wind, his eyes glowing with magic light, which appeared particularly bright in the dim mine.

He merely took a step forward, and within two seconds, all the Spider-Men were "swish swish swish" up on the wall. Gwen Spiderman grabbed the Main Universe Spiderman, while the Movie Spiderman took the Shadow Spiderman; if they could walk through walls, they'd already be out of Centaurus by now.

Even without mind reading, Shiller could hear their internal cries: Help! Someone turned something on! Where's the admin? Where's the moderator? If you don't close this thing, are you even human?!

At this moment, the sound of engines came from the top of the cave entrance. Shiller looked up to see dozens of mecha slowly descending, almost filling the entire upper space of the cavity. Following them were three Iron Men with glowing chests, and two teams of the Fantastic Four.

"This is quite a big move." Shiller couldn't help but exclaim, "It seems they are determined to keep us in Centaurus."

The number of people doesn't seem many, but Tony Stark and Reed Richards are scientific talents, seen as gems by the command center, not to be used until the last moment. Sending five or six at once means they are determined to go all out.

Shiller looked again at Arkham Batman, uncertain if he was the vanguard or if he was the only reinforcements this time. If the former, that's fine; if the latter, then there's definitely a fierce battle to be fought.

One of the Iron Men landed and opened his mask, obviously intending to say something. Just then, a large magic array lit up on the circular cavity floor, and Constantine made his move!

In an instant, a magic storm swept through the entire cavity, impacting all electronic devices with energy shock. Those mecha that hadn't landed yet were immediately blown off course.

One mecha was blown straight into a wall, but don't forget the Spiderman hanging on the wall; the mecha crashed right onto one Spiderman, and the two of them, along with the mecha, fell together and rolled into a heap with another Spiderman below.

Shiller, who moved to the side at lightning speed, immediately caught a flaw, and before his rolling motion finished, he fired a shot in that direction, a white light burst instantly, followed by another shot. Unfortunately, the second shot missed as that Spiderman was pulled back up by another Spiderman hanging above with spider silk.

But looking at the enemy hordes in front of him, Shiller still felt a headache; if this chaotic battle broke out, he'd be the most disadvantaged. After all, his shield had been broken by Spiderman, and he didn't have time to recharge it, at best, it could take one more hit, and once hit by area damage, he might have to retreat to the fountain.

Shiller's mind raced; staying here for a big fight was pointless, and it couldn't provide much help to Arkham Batman; he had to think of another way.

Shiller's thoughts moved like lightning, quickly forming a plan. He leaned against the edge of the cavity and spoke to Arkham Batman through a communicator: "Lend me the Batmobile."

Arkham Batman didn't respond for a long while, and Shiller thought he hadn't heard. Eventually, after a long pause, Batman coolly replied, "You mean, let me handle all these people barehanded?"

Shiller certainly knew, Arkham Batman's Batmobile was truly outrageous, and obviously, being in sync with the car offered a higher chance of success. But now, he needed to find the decisive strength to determine the outcome, and running out on his own was too slow; he required a transportation tool.

However, he wouldn't have to drive it far; just using the Batmobile to pass through the complex mine and return to the surface was enough because the stealth jet they initially came in was still intact. The journey on the surface could be entirely resolved using the stealth jet.

In the end, Arkham Batman chose to lend him the Batmobile. Shiller didn't say much, knowing the best way to express gratitude was to get to work.

He snuck out along the way they came in; amidst the chaos caused by the magic storm, all the Spider-Men were busy with rescue, the Iron Men busy adjusting mechas, and the Fantastic Four seeking the culprit, leaving no one noticing him, allowing him to smoothly arrive at the opening in front of the cavity.

Returning along the original path, he found the Batmobile on the other side of the mine. After getting in, he activated the Batmobile's magic mode, which allowed it to phase through walls directly.

Flying straight upward this way, he didn't need to traverse the winding mine paths anymore, reaching the surface in less than two minutes. He sent a message to Arkham Batman, who immediately recalled the Batmobile. Shiller only knew, at this moment in the mine, there'd likely be numerous extra steel speed bumps, spider speed bumps, and four-in-one speed bumps.

Boarding the small spacecraft, Shiller didn't delay, flying straight up to the planet's blockade layer. Those police vessels were indeed still there, quietly hovering, their Interstellar Security Committee agents likely still searching on the ground.

The reason Shiller knew they hadn't returned was that he previously told them Thanos had taken over this matter. As the newly appointed executive chief, he was a hotshot, and impressing him would mean promotions were imminent.

These people didn't know what that white light represented, and wouldn't leave until they found Doctor Strange. Among these blockade ships was a mothership; Shiller had seen it when leaving the Interstellar Security Committee port; it was his target.
