The head of the Hyuga clan Hiomi Hyuga was currently waiting for her daughter Hinata to come home, however she was late and already dark out. The mother who bore an enormous resemblance to her eldest daughter couldn't help but let out a sigh. She doesn't enjoy being strict to her children but the day Hinata was kidnapped by a group of Kumo ninjas, it wasn't surprising she became more 'cautious' when it came to her daughters. Especially since her husband Hiashia had died from fatal injuries when rescuing Hinata.
She knows that she's all grown up now and she's not the weak little child she used to be, but a mother can't help but worry! Especially when she knows why she would always be so late, whenever Hinata ever disobeyed and caused trouble with the people in her clan it was only because of one thing. The boy the Uzumaki's took in, Naruto. While most people think the head of the Hyuga clan also despises the boy and wants Hinata to stay away from him, that's not exactly the case.
She didn't see the boy as the Kyuubi like the moronic commoners in the village do, it's also infuriating that some of the Hyuga clan are so simple minded that they think like the idiot commoners in the village as well. Hiomi doesn't bear any malicious feelings to the boy, she knows he's not the Kyubi. However he is the Kyuubi container and that's something that can't change. It's because of this he has a bad reputation to the masses and many problematic things will occur to him, and soon to those around him. She doesn't blame him since it's not his fault but the world is a cruel and unfair place. He will continue to be scorned and those he calls 'friends' will also share the harassment for being with him.
She's the head of the clan that possesses the all seeing eyes, her ability to gain information in the village is no joke. She knows that the friends of the boy have been getting some harsh treatment for associating with the 'container' though it's not as much as the boy receives, it could be that most of them are the next heirs to prominent clans. However they did receive some nonetheless and in time it may continue to grow.
Hiomi does not hate Naruto, however that does not mean she's okay with him being close to her daughter. She never says her honest opinion about Naruto out loud for two reasons, both her daughters best friend happens to be Naruto's sister Naruko. While it is only in law it's easy to forget because of the striking resemblance between the two. The other reason is that those who choose to show their unfair treatment to the boy will suffer the wrath of the Red Hot-Blooded Habanero of the Hidden Leaf, Kushina Namikaze Uzumaki.
She never told Hinata to stay away from the boy but many people from the clan have, she's not sure if she treasures her relationship from the boy or she's choosing to be stubborn as Hiomi was as well when she was young. Maybe a combination from both. However what bothered her was Hinata coming home late, news spread from what happened to the boy a few days ago. He's been beaten by the villagers before but this one was close to death. They haven't found who did it, which was a situation she didn't like as Hinata was still friends with him.
What's more she's noticed the way some of the people in the clan would stare at her daughter with distaste and spite. She didn't think her own clan would do something that would harm Hinata, but she didn't like the feeling in her gut at this moment. She was worried. As if on cue a group of the clansmen came forward to her.
"Lady Hiomi, would you like us to search for Lady Hinata again?" she glanced at the people who spoke to her. These were the people she usually sent to go and fetch Hinata when she took too long to come home. If she was being honest she didn't want to send them.
When she first sent them to bring Hinata home there was no issue. Hinata was loved by all in the Hyuga clan, however ever since they found out the reason Hinata would return late was because of the 'Kyuubi Container' they look they gave her used to give her was no longer the same.
And they weren't the only ones in the Hyuga compound that showed their dislike.
But wait a minute, isn't this the perfect chance to test if she should be worried?
A smile crept upon her face "Why yes, it appears she once more lost track of time. Thank you for always being so dutiful on bringing her back" With her permission the group made their way out the compound. Hiomi looked over to her personal attendant Hiyori, "Go and bring Neji, tell him that it's a matter of the utmost urgency"
Hiyori bowing, "Yes Lady Hiomi, right away" With that Hiyori left to go fetch the Hyuga prodigy. After a few minutes Hiyori returned with Neji. "You require my presence Lady Hiomi?"
Hiomi was particularly fond of Neji, he was just so well mannered and respectful. Even though he's her nephew she saw him more as a son she never had. Neji always was so kind to both Hinata and Hanabi and did whatever he could for the both of them. He tried his absolute best to help out in any way he could ever since Hiashi died, he really was great to have around.
"Hinata is running late once more, she was supposed to return once she finished meeting up with her new team and whatever their sensei had planned for them. But it's taking too long even for that so some were sent to fetch her" Hiomi explained but Neji not really understanding what she was getting at.
"Do you wish for me to help them bring back Hi- Lady Hinata" Neji almost slipped and just casually said Hinata instead of Lady Hinata. Hiomi always told him that it was fine and there was no need. But since he's part of the lower branch there are many that still want Neji to give them the 'proper respect' despite them being cousins.
She would've reassured him right now that he doesn't have to but there was something else she needed to discuss with him instead. "No, I wish for you to follow them without being seen. This is just speculation but I have reason to believe that they aren't very happy with Hinata as of late and just wish to make sure they wouldn't try anything… uncivil"
"You believe they would do something to Hinata!" Neji blurted out but quickly covered his mouth as he forgot to say Lady Hinata instead. She smirked at this but like she said, different things to discuss.
"Like I said, it's just speculation and I just wish to be reassured. Will you do this for me Neji" He bowed to her "Of course Lady Hiomi, I'll do so at once" And with that Neji used the Shunshin and went to pick up the group's trail.
Hiomi looked to the dark sky, 'I sure hope I'm worrying for nothing'
Nearby the Hyuga Compound
Mizuki was making his way home after finishing a mission, he was quite in a good mood lately. Who wouldn't be after he was able to give the demon boy what he deserved, he never got caught or faced the wrath from the Uzumaki's since he wasn't a total idiot and only pounced when the demon brat was alone. After just viewing when some of the villagers would attack the Kyuubi brat he noticed there were times where the people who harmed him would get punished by the Uzumaki's, and there were times where they didn't do anything. Which was odd to say the least of why there were exceptions.
After watching and biding his time he easily came to a realization, whenever the brat was completely alone with none of the Uzumaki's or his 'friends' around there would be no punishment. But why, it's almost as if… he didn't tell anyone what happened to him? He needed to make sure this was the case however before he took action.
He spread rumors of how they could harm the brat without facing the wrath of the Red Hot-Blooded Habanero. More people were quick to practice what the rumor entailed, and what did you know. No more Uzumaki's punished for hurting the demon!
Now all he had to do was bide his time and wait for the perfect opportunity, and boy did it come. He never felt so proud looking at the bloody mess they left the container for the Kyubi in, he was a bloody mess and was basically a corpse. What's best of all he didn't even fight back! The brat probably knew he deserved this and had it coming and so accepted it.
Many villagers knew that Mizuki was the reason for Naruto being hospitalized, but they never told anyone so that the Uzumaki's wouldn't know. Mizuki was praised and thanked for what he did by the villagers, he felt like he was a hero! Life couldn't get any better he thought.
That was until he heard some shouting nearby, curious to what it was he heard his turn his direction to the sound. As if he couldn't believe his eyes, it was the god damn demon brat! How is he walking all about already, he practically left him dead just a few days ago. There were exceptional medical ninja's in the hospital but not to the point where he was able to walk freely as if nothing happened. Did he have a faster healing process than others? Was it because the Kyuubi?
And why in the hell was the Hyuga princess being so close and smitten with the demo-
'He just kissed her! Wait, he's apologizing? He forced himself onto h- She's kissing him now!' Mizuki's teeth were grinding and his head was fuming. However despite his new found anger he knew not to go in and do something. As good as he thought he was, he didn't dare to try and do something to get the heiress of the Hyuga clan on his bad side. It's just him and him alone wouldn't be able to do anything substantial.
Feeling displeased at how things were looking up for the demon brat and how the Hyuga looked like they were going to accept the boy he reluctantly walked away.
It wasn't even a minute before he walked by a group of men from the Hyuga clan. "Do you think Lady Hinata is with the Kyuubi boy again? Every Time she's late and we bring her back she's always with that demon brat"
"She's bringing such disgrace to our esteemed clan, doesn't she care how her actions are bringing dirt upon our clan's name by even being associated with such an abomination!"
"Lady Hiomi should reconsider letting Hinata be the heir to the clan, if left in her hands she would no doubt be the downfall of our great clan"
"I know it's upsetting but don't forget it's still Lady Hinata, if you don't give her the respect she-"
"Screw that! Hinata used to have my respect but she threw it away when she willingly decided to befriend that god damn demon! My wife and daughter were killed that night and it's bad enough they have the demon child walk freely in the village but now her! She could be killed for all I care!"
With that all the Hyuga men were silent, none dared to disagree with what he had just said. They all lost people close to them that night, family, friends, and loved ones. They had no idea where to direct their anger and grief and because of their broken spirits from losing people they cared about, they also targeted their frustrations onto the child who harbored the Kyuubi.
"Lady, no you're right. Hinata used to have our respect and she threw it away with what she's done. We warned her many times not to be close with the boy and it's clear as day she chooses him over her own clan" They continued to walk and complain not knowing Mizuki was nearby listening to their conversation.
Maybe things weren't so bad after all, especially if he could use this to his advantage. He couldn't help but smirk as he walked up to them, "You guys are looking for Hinata correct?"
Back with Naruto, Hinata and Mizuki and the Pricks
"Mizuki" Naruto simply stated with a serious expression. Hinata noticed the sudden change in Naruto's tone, she guessed it has to do with the instructor from the Academy. But she never noticed Mizuki being disrespectful at all to Naruto, she always thought he was one of the good people that saw Naruto for who he was. However even without her Byakugan she could see Mizuki had some ulterior motive, she couldn't quite describe it but it seems as if Mizuki's grin just had an evil glint to it.
"You're with him again, why can't you realize that nothing good will come from this. You must cut your ties with him at once Lady Hinata!"
"You mustn't stay with that demon any longer! He's a stain on our village and one you shouldn't be associating yourself with!"
These types of things kept being yelled out to the two, Hinata was absolutely furious right now, why couldn't they just see Naruto for how he is! For being in a clan with all seeing eyes how could they be so blind to not see something so simple!
"That's enough! I will not allow you to disrespect Naruto-kun anymore!"
She moved in front of Naruto while glaring at the clansmen with a ferocious look upon her face.
Everyone became silent, until the clansmen were whispering things amongst themselves. "Mizuki was correct, she's already too enamoured with the demon. What should we do, if we let this continue this would surely be the downfall of the Hyuga clan" Prick 1 said.
"Perhaps we should take matters into our own hands, even if it requires force" Prick 2 said.
"What about Lady Hiomi? You know how protective she is about her daughters. She'll without a doubt be furious" Prick 3 said.
"We don't have to hurt her, just the boy and send a message to Hinata. If she continues to choose to be with him, we'll just have to let her know of the consequences of her actions." Prick 4 said.
"You fool, what about Kushina. Hinata would know doubt tell her and we'll be at the end of her fury" Prick 5 said.
"We're the mighty Hyuga clan. We don't need to be afraid of some widow" Prick 2 said.
Naruto just watched as Hinata stood in front of him and the members of the Hyuga clan just ahead of her whispering things amongst themselves. Hinata and Naruto aren't even in a relationship right now and were just hanging out in their point of view and there is already some discord between her and the hyuga clan members. It would no doubt become worse if they would get together.
As much as it is disappointing for both Naruto and Hinata, he made a decision. "Hinata-chan, why don't you just go back home with them. It's already dark out and they're probably just worried because your mother was worried" He said with a smile, hoping to calm her down so he can try and deescalate the situation.
Hinata however knew what he was attempting to do, how couldn't she. Everytime someone insulted or belittled Naruto and they group tried to step in, Naruto would always do this. It's practically impossible to not notice when hanging out with the boy.
"No, Naruto-kun. If we keep letting them treat you like this as they please, there would never be an end to it! I refuse to keep standing by and letting this continue unfair treatment to-" However she was cut off when she was caught in a hug by Naruto which surprised her.
"Hinata-chan, thank you. I had one of the best moments of my life because of you. I don't want it to be left off with you fighting with your own clan" Hinata wanted to put her foot down, maybe it was because Naruto hugged her or said that one of the best moments of his life was because of her. Or it could've been that soft spot she had for the blonde boy she decided to comply with his request.
"Okay, but we're not finished discussing this. We will continue next time, understood!" Hinata declared as she looked at him during their embrace. Naruto couldn't help but say, "Not stuttering Hinata-chan really is a nice person to talk to" Hinata's face quickly changed to a color resembling Kushina hair in the span of a single second.
"B-Baka…" She lowered her head to hide her embarrassment, and quickly but reluctantly moved away from him.
"You came to escort me back home, let's make our way back. I need to go back anyways and have a long needed conversation with mother" She glared at the angry looking clansmen. They looked like they were seething with anger, not liking how Naruto pulled her into an embrace that she easily accepted.
She walked past them and headed home, however they didn't appear to be following her back home and stood in place. "Is there a reason you aren't moving?" She said with a bit of anger in her voice.
"Hinata, you go home. Just as you have a long needed discussion with Lady Hiomi, we have one for the boy" Prick 1 said.
The pricks started to walk towards Naruto, with Naruto not moving as he could assume he knew what was about to happen. Hinata could also easily guess what they're motives were and despite Naruto's request she wasn't going to leave. She instead rushed back to him, placing herself between Naruto and the group of men.
"That's enough! Were you not tasked with escorting me back to the compound!" She stood her ground not allowing them to get any closer.
"It's clear to see that you're not seeing things clearly but associating yourself with this boy will bring nothing but misfortune. He's a demon that will curse this village!" Prick 1 said.
"He is no such thing! He's a kind hearted person and someone that's greater than you will ever be!" Prick was seething with rage after Hinata declared such a thing to him. This demon was kind? How the hell was killing his friends 16 years ago kind. How was he great? This demon devastated the village and killed their beloved 4th Hokage, great my ass! Prick's mind was filled with anger that he wasn't thinking properly. That must be the reason why he now had a kunai in his hand as it plunged towards the Hyuga Princess.
However before Hinata could defend herself a loud voice resonated in the area "That's enough!" The figure that the voice originated from was now between Hinata and Prick 1 and was holding onto his wrist which was holding the kunai in his hand. Twisting the prick's hand and forcing him to let go of the weapon he glared at the clansmen.
"Neji-nii-san?!" Hinata recognized the boy that stopped the attacker, she could've stopped it herself. And the way how Naruto was now practically right behind her, his body in physical contact with her for how close he was she assumed he was going to step in as well.
Neji looked at Hinata with a smile before looking back at the prick that tried to attack her. He let go of his wrist before kicking him and sent him flying to the group of the clansmen. "What do you think you were attempting! Attacking Lady Hinata like that, don't think Lady Hiomi would take this too kindly when she finds out. All of you would no doubt be labeled as traitors and have the main family's curse seal activated as punishment and much more."
"Traitors? Us traitors?! We're not the ones befriending the god damn demon! It's this slut-" whatever the clansmen were going to say were put to a stop when a sudden yellow flash appeared in front of their very eyes and a now very pissed Naruto staring them down, as if daring to finish what they were saying.
"Y-You dare! This is all your fault, none of this would have happened if you just hadn't-" Neji was able to see Naruto accumulating his chakra, no doubt was going to put these fools in their place. He wanted to see it happen if he was being honest as they had it coming for even trying to hurt Hinata. However he knew that if Naruto were to act there would be repercussions on his part, even if these pricks would be labeled as traitors to the Hyuga clan.
So he quickly passed by Naruto and used the gentle fist technique right into his face. Knocking out the prick, cutting off whatever he had planned to say. The rest of the clansmen were quick to shut up after seeing what occurred in front of their eyes, remember why this man was considered the prodigy of the Hyuga clan since they couldn't even react in time for how quick his speed was.
After it seemed at the clansmen we're no longer going to take any action, Neji faced Naruto and bowed, "I apologize on the behalf of the Hyuga clan, I assure our clan wishes no ill harm towards the Uzumaki family, rest assured that these traitors will receive suitable punishments befitting their actions tonight"
Naruto stopped himself from what he was going to do, no doubt realizing that he was letting his emotions get to him. He used to have much more self control and normally wouldn't do something like this, yet he was ready to attack. If it wasn't for Neji stopping him, Naruto knew he was going to do something he would regret.
"You don't need to be so formal, I'm not really even an Uzumaki. Just an adopted orphan, and stop bowing. I'm not someone you need to do that to" Neji stopped bowing and stood back up, this wasn't the first time Naruto insisted Neji didn't need to do such actions. He didn't think he was someone that deserved the respect for being an Uzumaki, however it seems Neji never really complied since he would always give it to Naruto.
"Nonsense, only fools would think that you're not part of the Uzumaki family. Everyone in the village with a right mind knows that Kushina sees you as her very own son" Neji gave him a smile. Neji was on good terms with Naruto, at first he was wary of him since he never met the boy but Hinata would always come to Neji for help on how to get close with the boy and she didn't know any other boys her age she could ask.
After many times of Hinata asking for advice but none bearing any fruit because she was too timid he was able to find out who this "boy" Hinata was referring to. It was a little surprising it was Naruko's brother that Hinata had feelings for, he always just heard about him from when Naruko would come visit and playfully complain about him. Saying some things like it's so tiresome trying to do something nice for him since he never asks for anything and keeps saying things like "Just get yourself something, I don't need anything" or "I'm okay with doing whatever you want".
Neji didn't really understand why Naruko was upset about that, that's what Neji usually says when Hinata asks him as well. However Hinata seemed to wholeheartedly agree with her saying "Right! I understand exactly what you mean!" and give a stern look to Neji before talking to Naruko again. It wasn't until a few days after that he heard a ruckus at the main gate. He went to check on what was occurring and found Hinata and what looked like a group of her friends at the gate.
From what he could gather they were just dropping her off as it was getting dark and Lady Hiomi likes for her to be home around this time. However he noticed someone who never seen before, he knew this was Naruto since he's heard that despite them not actually being blood related they both looked like twins. Sure enough he looks quite similar to Naruko.
What he quickly took note of was that he had his gaze cast down with a look of guilt on his face, and the ever so kind Hinata was more angry than Neji had ever seen her. She was currently arguing with the guards at the main gate. They arguing didn't seem like it was going to stop, that was until when Naruto excused himself and left. It was later Neji found out that the commotion started with the guards telling Naruto he wasn't welcomed here. Apparently Naruto apologized and was about to leave but that's when Hinata snapped.
Neji knew that there were some people who were harsh to him for being the jinchuuriki but he didn't think there were fools like that in his own clan. What's more is that Naruto was easy to forgive the behavior despite it continuing over the years. Neji respected that he didn't let this get in between the friendship of him and Hinata, no doubt Hinata would be devastated if that were to happen.
"Well I guess I'm also a fool" Naruto laughed while rubbing the back of his head, trying to joke and lighten up the situation. Neji couldn't help but chuckle, "Yeah, there's no arguing that"
"Hey! You weren't supposed to agree with that!" Neji was glad that Naruto didn't seem to be upset, however there were other matters to attend to. He turned back to the pricks.
"You all head back to the compound, and don't even think about running away. You all should know first hand that there's no such thing as hiding from Lady Hiomi" With their face even paler than before, they grabbed the unconscious prick and headed back.
However it was at this point Naruto realized, "Where did Mizuki go?" He looked around and wondered where and when he left.
?If you're referring to the man that came with those traitors, he ran off as soon as I entered the scene. I would have chased after him but prioritized on stopping those fools from causing an issue amongst the Hyuga and Uzumaki" Neji said, he would like to give chase to find out more information however he needed to bring Hinata back to the compound.
"Wait, how'd you know he came with them? Were you watching the whole time!" Naruto said with a surprise on his face. Did he listen to the whole conversation he and Hinata had?! Did he see them kiss! How much did he see!
"I was following those fools under the order of Lady Hiomi, for reasons unsaid she believed that they didn't have the best intentions regarding Hinata and asked me to trail them just in case" Naruto was glad that he didn't hear anything then. But Lady Hiomi knew that this might happen and sent Neji? How would she know, what reason could she think of that they would try something against Hinata-
It was than a huge amount of guilt fell on Naruto's shoulders, he didn't even need to finish such a stupid thought. They were practically yelling the reason in their face after all. It was so simple really.
"It was because of me, wasn't it?" Naruto solemnly said. It wasn't the first time something like this happened after all, well not to this extent anyways. He already saw Hinata weren't on good terms with some members in their clan because of him, he wanted to believe that it wouldn't make a turn for the worse but appeared as if that was only wishful thinking. "I'm sorr-" Neji was about to stop Naruto from apologizing but someone had beaten him to it.
"It wasn't your fault!" Hinata yelled out, she had enough of Naruto blaming himself for things that weren't his fault. "They were just idiots that didn't know any better!" Why couldn't people just realize how great of a person Naruto was and not as a Demon. "You didn't do anything wrong!" All Naruto ever did was help people and be kind, he was always met with disdain from the villagers when he never did anything that deserved it. Yet despite that he would always apologize as if he was at fault, and she hated it. "Don't you dare apologize" no longer yelling as she was now in front of Naruto.
She loved Naruto so dearly it just hurt her so much that he lived like this, "It's not fair" tears streaming down her beautiful face, she buried her head into his chest. "Why do you have to be treated like this when you didn't do anything wrong" She remembered her heart sank when she heard that Naruto was almost killed and sent to the hospital. "Why do you let people keep treating you as so" Their group knows that Naruto doesn't even bother to go against the people who treat him poorly. A thought kept going through her mind recently and didn't want to believe it or let alone think it. But what if that night Naruto was almost killed, did he just let it happen. She wanted to believe no, but the more she kept pondering about it the more she knew what that answer to that question probably was.
It wasn't fair, Naruto doesn't deserve any of this. "It's not fair" Why couldn't people just realize that the thing sealed inside him and Naruto aren't one and the same. "It's not fair" Why do people want him to hurt him so much to the point where they would almost kill him. "It's not fair" Why is it that she couldn't do a single thing to help him. "It not fair"
Hinata was just repeating those words into his chest. Naruto was shocked, he didn't know what to do. Was it his fault that she was crying, how should he comfort her? "I'm sor-" He however stopped himself as he just remembered that's what started making her say this, she didn't want him to apologize. But what else was he supposed to say?
He looked towards Neji with a look on his face as if asking for help. But Neji had his back facing away from them! Look over here you coward! Seeing as he wouldn't get any assistance from Neji he looked back to the crying girl in his chest. He just decided to wrap his arms around her and waited for her to calm down. That's the best thing he could think of doing at the moment.
After a few minutes, Hinata eventually calmed down. She kept her head down, not wanting to look up. "Are you alright Hinata-chan?" Hinata didn't like that he asked her that, it should be her asking that to him. However she just decided to nod and slowly but surely pull herself away from him. There were a lot of things going on in her mind right now. She wanted to do something but she wasn't sure what, however there is one thing she was sure of. She needed to go and speak with her mother.
She went to Neji's side, "Let's go home Neji-nii-san", Neji gave her an uncertain look and glanced towards Naruto, then back to Hinata. "Are you sure Lady Hinata?" Now he wasn't the most informed regarding the relationship between the two but even he knew this was an awkward way to leave.
Naruto felt the same, he wanted to apologize for how that night ended but it was made clear Hinata wanted no such thing from him. He didn't know what he should say, so he just stood there quietly. His mind went to the things she was saying to him, he wasn't dense and knew exactly what she meant but he couldn't provide her an answer. She doesn't like how his life is, he doesn't either but he can't do anything about it. Why do people have to be so mean to him, he knows why. It's because the demon is sealed inside him, he didn't choose for that but they didn't care and there was nothing he could do about that.
"I'll see you soon" Hinata said before she left with Neji following after her. Naruto could only hope that what happened tonight hasn't affected their friendship in a bad way. With that out of the way and both the Hyuga no longer in sight he let out a sigh before heading home. These past few days have been very eventful for him and he could definitely use some sleep, he didn't get any last night because of Kushina.
'Crap, I forgot! She wanted to talk about what happened with Naruko tonight!' With that, Naruto went home. He hoped Hinata and Neji wouldn't say what happened tonight to Naruko but that was only wishful thinking. Should he tell them what happened himself? They already knew some of the Hyuga's didn't like him but it was only just when he was at the main gate and nothing more. He decided not to say anything, if Hinata and Neji brought it up he was sure they would have some official statement from Lady Hiomi and probably news of the punishment those clansmen received and hopefully that would appease Kushina. Yup, that was the plan.
However he really didn't want to have that talk with Kushina, he's pretty tired since he hasn't slept for having sex all last night and he was just dispatched from the hospital just the other day. However he didn't want to tell her that was just going will power through the rest before he could find solace and comfort on his comfy bed.
At the Uzumaki Household
"Look who's finally home" Naruko greeted as her brother just came back home. "So you're in the same team as Hinata and Tenten, and you have such a pretty sensei as well. I bet that friend of yours Kiba is crying with jealousy right now" Naruto let out a small chuckle.
"While I can't deny what you said, Kiba's not that bad" Naruto sat down on the living room couch right next to Naruko. The two of them were talking about their day, Naruto left out the event that transpired before coming home but told her everything else. "So you and Hinata were on a date!?" Naruko said excitedly but as soon as she said that the look on her face turned one of excitement to something more, disappointed, why she had that look was something he didn't know.
"It wasn't a date, we just ate together and talked to get to know each other a bit more" Naruto tried to explain to her. However Naruko just had a deadpanned look on her face as he said that. "That sounds like a date" Naruto tried to convince her that's not what it was but she kept laughing at him saying that he was totally on a date. While Naruto was happy whatever brought her mood down for that split second was now gone she was back to being her cheerful self. If he was being honest he kind of missed this, sure it wasn't like this for only a couple of days but with the lustful actions in this house he didn't get much of this "normal interactions" he had with Naruko and Kushina lately.
They kept bickering about whether it was a date or not before they moved on to talk about something else and Naruko was talking about what her team did for the day. He was about to ask about how Sasuke seemed but before he could "Oh, you're home! That's perfect. Naruko is here as well. I guess we should talk about it now" Naruto was nervous that they were going to bring it up to Naruto, he honestly didn't know how this would go so of course he was nervous.
Yet Kushina said it so casually, she seemed really calm about this and he was wondering how she was able to be. "Talk about it? What are you guys talking about" Naruko nervously said, it was on her mind for the most part of the day. As the events this morning were replaying in her head, she knew for sure she was loud enough for anyone in the house to hear. When they went into the kitchen for breakfast Kushina emitted this aura. There was no mistake, she knew what happened. This talk was definitely about that.
Kushina clapped her hands as she had a smile on her face, "Yes, you see I know what you two did this-"
*Knock Knock*
Kushina looked at the door and backed to the two, "Were you two expecting anyone?" They both shook their heads, they had no clue who would come at this hour. "I'll go get it" Naruto got up to see who it was, Kushina and Naruko just looked from the living room, curious to see who it was.
Naruto got to the door and opened it, and he was quite surprised to see who it was.
"H-Hinata-chan?!" Naruto was confused, why was she here?! And she seemed to be holding some luggage with her. Hinata had a blush on her face as she seemed very embarrassed.
"H-Hi, Naruto-kun. Is by any chance your m-mother here?"
"Yeah, but why?" Naruto was trying his best to guess what was going on.
"I-I talked with my mother, and we ended up arguing a lot. But I decided to move out, since I'm not a full fledged shinobi I'm now seen as an adult. S-So I don't need a guardian's permission to leave the house" Naruto was shocked, she moved out but where to? If she's here and has luggage on her does that mean-
"But you're the heiress of the clan?! Wouldn't that cause some clan issues?!" Naruto knows that there could be some serious consequences for her doing this.
"I stepped down the position and now that role has been given to Hanabi" it seemed like the conversation was taking too long since Kushina had just shown up.
"So you had a fight with Hiomi and came here, is that the jist of it?" Kushina said with a straight face. Her and Kushina were friends so he didn't know who she would side with.
"Well come on in! I used to run from home all the time when I was younger, I'm the best mom ever. That's why Naruto or Naruko never ran away from home. Oh I just can't wait to tell Hiomi that you chose to live here, the look on her face is going to be priceless" Kushina couldn't help but laugh thinking about how she was going to rub it in her friend's face.
'She said yes?!' Naruto couldn't help but think loudly in his head.
Hinata bowed down "I-I'll be in your care" she then walked into the house. However before Naruto could say something Kushina got close to Naruto whispering to him "Looks like we'll have to be careful with our fun so she doesn't catch us. Because even think for a second we're going to stop just because she's here" She nibbles on his ear before pulling away from and walking to the living room where Naruko was talking to Hinata about what she was doing here.
'What the hell is happening' Naruto couldn't help but think.
