Synopsis
I never thought I’d end up being the villain. But now, it’s clear—that’s how the world sees me. The truth is, I never saw myself as the hero either. Deep down, I’ve always carried the guilt, knowing that people’s hatred for me might not be entirely unfair. Maybe I was never as good as I wanted to be. Maybe I really wasn’t the kind or noble one in the story. Still, I can’t fully accept being called a villain. It’s strange to wake up one day and realize that everyone, even those I once tried to protect with my life, now see me as the enemy. And as if that wasn’t enough, fate has decided to give me the biggest responsibility of all—saving humanity. The irony is almost laughable. Villains aren’t supposed to save the world. But who else should take on this task? The so-called hero? The one who used his power to collect women, harem as some called it? The one who, even with the strongest cheats, failed to do what needed to be done? So, I’ve made my decision. I’ll save this world—but I’ll do it my way. And if anyone stands in my way, they’ll understand why I was called a villain. [This revised novel, a departure from my debut "The Villain Side of the Novel," introduces an alternate plotline where Fray persists in the struggle for the throne. The narrative unfolds on a previously unexplored continent, a departure from the original setting.]

Chapter 1 - Greetings

Greetings, readers!

I'd like to start by mentioning that this novel is a rewrite of my first one, "The Villain Side of the Novel", but with a completely new plot.

Important Note: The main character isn't your typical villain. The entire premise of this novel is to explore a supposed villain's side of the story—not just a mindless killer, but someone with depth, purpose, and flaws. I've made that clear from the start, in this book and the previous one. Yet, I still get criticized because the character doesn't slaughter everyone in sight. That's not the story I'm telling... THE CHARACTER IS CRUEL AND COLD BUT HE'S NOT EVIL...

The first 10 chapters are dedicated to world-building and laying the foundation of the story. From Chapter 11 onwards, the pace will pick up significantly.

Power System:

There are no ranks for humans—at least not before the Old Continent arc begins. Spirits, however, have ranks from One to Nine, and these are commonly known.

For returning readers of the original novel:

Yassine's original plot remains intact, and the first two chapters are unchanged. If you've read them before, feel free to skip ahead.

Spoiler Alert(for those familiar with the original novel – new readers may skip this part)

This version explores new territory—literally. The story shifts its focus to the eighth continent, known as the Old Realm, which was never touched in the original.

The MC, while not the head of the family, is still fighting for the throne. The family's name has been changed to Dalma (meaning Darkness).

The Old Realm has awakened, summoning the successors of all human heroes who once fought in the war against the seven races. Here, laws are broken, and both opportunity and chaos await.

Plot Overview:

Arc One – The Dominion of the Old Continent(Chapters 1–400)

More details will be revealed in Chapter 10. This arc is divided into three smaller arcs:

Chapters 1–100: The battle for the Dalma family throne. The MC must overcome his siblings.

Chapters 100–200: The MC faces the "world's protagonist"—his old friend Luke Moonlight, and the former Guardians team (once allies and lovers, now enemies).

Chapters 200–250: War between the Dalma family and the Monster's Kingdom.

Chapters 250–400: Continental warfare across the human and Old continents. The MC stands alone against seven families and three kingdoms.

Chapters 400–700: The final showdown between the seven continents.

About the Main Character:

He's an anti-hero—cold, calculating, and ruthless. While more open and in control compared to the first novel, his ultimate goal remains: reshape the world, and eliminate all other races.

Supporting characters from the original novel will return, though their circumstances and relationships will change.

World Overview:

The world still contains six families, six legendary weapons, and eight continents (names subject to change).

Romance will be present, but don't expect it to follow the same path as the first novel.

The core mysteries and secrets remain, except for one key difference: the Dalma family's downfall is inevitable, and it's coming soon.

A Word from the Author:

Life hit hard, which is why I paused the original story. But now, with school behind me and a flexible job, I'm ready to fully commit to this journey. Your support means everything to me.

This rewrite will be filler-free, with a focused and continuous storyline until the final chapter.
