Ahmed met Aleezeh after school.
"I need to tell you something."
"What?"
"My father knew your mother."
Aleezeh's eyes widened.
"How?"
"They worked together on the case she was investigating."
"What case?"
"Fraud. False documents. Money being taken from people."
"Was the house owner involved?"
"Yes."
Ahmed handed her a small key.
"My father gave this to me."
"What is it?"
"We don't know."
Aleezeh looked at the key.
Then she remembered something.
Her mother had owned an old wooden box.
That evening, Aleezeh searched through her mother's room.
She found the box.
Inside was a USB drive.
She opened it.
There were several files.
Financial records.
Photographs.
Names.
Dates.
Payments.
One name appeared again and again.
The house owner.
Another name appeared beside it.
Hassan.
Aleezeh stared at the screen.
"What?"
Noor looked at the files.
"This doesn't necessarily mean Hassan was involved."
"Then what does it mean?"
"It means we need the whole truth."
