Roland was living the average collage life, finally away from his parents, he wonders if he would be able to sustain himself, not to mention even finding a job to earn money.
Currently in his own dorm room hunched over a monitor, he is seen playing video games to help past the time, completely bored, he decides to play Terraria after seeing the new 1.4.4 update, after all it has been quite a long time since he played the game.
"It has been a long time since I've last played this game... Welp, might as well, It's hella boring nowadays so I got nothing to do anyways"
Just like that, he launches Terraria and spent the day playing on a new character and world file. Whether it was building beautiful houses to fulfill his OCD, gaining stacks of platinum coins, and of course completing the game by getting all the achievement which of course meant doing arguably the hardest achievement which is completing 200 tasks from the Angler NPC.
"Finally, that fucking Mirage Fish is an absolute pain in the ass to catch... Whatever, at least I finally got all the achievements for vanilla" Roland sighs as he was slumped down in his chair exhausted before stretching his arms and back.
Roland starts reminiscing all the fun and hardships he went through doing everything he can to 100% vanilla Terraria, his thoughts started wandering if he should consider doing a modded playthrough.
"Guess I should play modded now huh..? Welp, Calamity ought to be good enough, maybe with some quality of life mods as well"
However, the sounds of his rumbling stomach pauses his train of thoughts and reminded him to eat something before continuing to play.
Now stood up, he left his bedroom and heads out into the kitchen in search of something to eat whilst caressing his stomach with an expectant look on his face.
"Aight, time to check the fridge"
He arrives at the kitchen and opens the fridge, inside he sees ingredients to cook something filling. After giving it some thought, he decided to cook Katsu Karē which is basically Japanese curry with a piece of breaded fried meat. After grabbing the ingredients and putting it atop the countertop, he grabs his chef's knive and proceeded to dice some onions, cube up potatoes and carrots and minced a few cloves of garlic.
"Okay, time to beat my 'meat'... God, my humor is broken" Roland said to himself whilst he chuckled at bit at his dry joke.
Grabbing a chicken breast, he lays it flat on the chopping board and placed a plastic food wrap on top the meat and proceeded to
pount the chicken in order to tenderize it. With the meat already tenderized, he then seasons the chicken with salt and peper then batters the chicken before breading it with panko breadcrumbs. Deciding to be lazy, he uses his airfryer to fry the chicken instead.
"Now that thats done, time to prepare the curry" Roland then grabs a pot and sauté the vegetables he prepped earlier, after that he covers the pot with water and simmered the vegtables for about five minutes. Afterwards, he grabs some japanese curry blocks and tossed it in the pot after the vegetables have softened and mixed through until the curry blocks fully dissolved.
"And finally, some good ol' rice to top" Roland says as he went to check on his rice cooker to see some of the rice he cooked earlier, he reheats the rice then adds some to his plate, poured curry over the rice, then finally adds the chicken katsu atop it all.
*Sigh...*
"Finally, dinner is served" Roland says to not a single person but himself. The sudden sound of his guts rumbling harder than earlier was more than enough for him to start eating.
"Time to eat, then after I'm done I'll launch Tmodloader and play Calamity. I might try Infernum this time too" And with that out of his mind, he began to devour the dish he has cooked.

A few hours later...
Now back at his computer, he launched TmodLoader and to boot up calamity. While he was waiting for the loading bar to fill, he doom scrolls on his phone not realizing the screen on his monitor gradually getting brighter.
By this point he notices a absurdly bright light at the corner of his eye, swerving his head to look at it he now see's his monitor screen emit a blinding white light that was consuming everything in his room, including him.
"What the fu-" His voice cuts off as no sound is being emitted, Roland stood up to run away out off his room. Unfortunately for him, it's too late as the light has finally grabbed him as he felt his entire existence fade as his form was physically sucked into the monitor. Until finally, he is gone.
The light dims as the only thing that is missing in his room is Roland himself...

"Augh- what the hell happened to me..? That light..! Crap!" As soon as he regained his bearings he stood up right from his laid position once he realized what has happened to him.
As his vision returned to him, he looked around and saw an environment he was not familiar with. He looks down to the grass he was touching as he see's that he was on some sort of grassy hill.
"Did I get knocked out unconscious and was dragged out in the middle of nowhere?" He was confused as to why he was out here in the first place, he thought of several outrages things like 'Did a bomb blow up in my apartment??' or 'No way I got turned into a isekai protagonist...'
Unaware on how right he is on the latter, he finally stood up and dusted himself as he took a deep breath.
"Well then, hope there's a single bar of signal in this place" He says as he reaches for his pocket only to feel nothing in both sides, he patted everywhere else as he realizes that he is officially empty handed.
"Well great, not only am I lost in the middle of nowhere, I have nothing on me like my damn phone!" He yells in exasperation while throwing his arms up in the air.
That however was shot lived as he hurt the rustling of grass behind him, he quickly turned around to look to see nothing, so subconsciously he looked down and what he saw shocked him to his core.
A blue gelatinous blob trudging it way towards him, even without any sort of facial expressions whatsoever he could feel the malice coming from the small blob.
Both stood still for a moment, before suddenly the slime (Now that Roland know's what he is seeing) pounced towards him, Roland sidestepped out of the way as the slime want past him.
"What. The. Fuck!" He yells as he took a moment to take in what the hell was happening to him.
"So I actually was reincarnated? Oh god... Please don't tell me... I AM NOT IN TERRARIA OF ALL WORLDS AM I?!"
Panicked in his thought's, he wasn't aware that not paying attention to the current threat in front of him would cost him dearly. The slime took this opportunity and pounced once more, Roland now realizing his mistake couldn't dodge away in time, so out of instinct he put his arms up hoping that the slime isn't acidic.
But before the slime could even touched him, a arrow whizzed past Roland and pierced right through the blue slime effortlessly.
Roland looked shock as he turned around again to look at the whatever shot that arrow, and from what he saw, he finally understood who it was.
The person he saw had a almost orange-brown hair that was long enough to reach his back with a long beard of the same color, a black sweat with green trousers and black boots to top it all off.
In front of him was the official 'Guide' of this world.
'Wait... Isn't this his shimmered form?' Roland saw the looks the Guide currently had and saw that he was right, the Guide was the same as the shimmered variant.
Before he could ponder more about it, he ignored any more thoughts as now was not the time to think of this things, he was in a VERY dangerous world, he needed any help that he can get. So with a sigh, he walked towards the Guide who just holstered his bow to his back.
The Guide saw Roland approach him cautiously, he wasn't surprised, in fact he commended him in his head for not being overtly friendly. So with a easy going smile on his face, the Guide walked forward a bit with his right arm extended to greet him.
"Greetings Hero, welcome to the world of Terraria! My name is Maxwell, I shall be your 'Guide' to help you in this new world. I hope we get along"
