Fort Pantry

Rowan guided everyone toward the storage area of the fort, where the pantry was located. The barn doors creaked open, and they entered, the scent of dried herbs and salted meat filling the air. Inside, rows of crates and barrels lined the walls, some marked with labels indicating their contents: grains, dried fish, preserved vegetables.
"This is currently what we have in stock in general, provisions have been restocked as best we could but a horrible rain managed to ruin some of the grains." One soldier reported giving Rowan a list of things that they have.
Rowan glanced over the stock with a critical eye, her mind immediately assessing the supplies.
"It's so-so," She murmured to herself, though loud enough for Princess Camille to hear. "It will last the soldiers for a while, but if we face a longer-term siege or emergency..."
Princess Camille stepped closer, peering into the pantry with interest. "It's not enough?"
