Chapter 73 - 44-45

Chapter 44: Back to Normal-ish

While Izuku enjoyed the time he had spent with Gizon, Ochaco and Momo, it wasn't all too sad when it came to the end. He was still a bit of an introvert and these weren't people he spent that much time with before. Since it had nearly been two and half hours since the Sports Festival had ended, UA's campus was mostly empty save for a few teachers, so Izuku didn't bump into anyone as he retrieved the pod from the waiting room and took it back to Class Room 6-G.

After putting the pod away, a small section of the wall opened and Izuku stepped inside. Several mechanical arms appeared and quickly disassembled the suit. Once the suit was disassembled Izuku stepped out of the wall and the suit reassembled. Izuku looked over the suit, the many bullet dents around the chest were noticeable. This meant he would most likely need to replace those panels so as not to mess with the assembly and the integrity of the armor.

Yet that wasn't the only thing that was on his mind, as Izuku remembered how broken his arc reactor was. It would be an easy fix, as when he first received it, he had taken this time to learn the ins and outs of the device. He had the outlay of the entire device memorized, he could probably build one in his sleep. But that didn't make it indestructible. Izuku had never been in a fight where someone targeted his arc reactor, then again he had never really been in a fight. Yet Momo was able to realize what the device did and was able to damage it.

Izuku himself had told Shoto that eventually, a villain would be able to overcome his ice. Meaning eventually there was going to be a villain that was able to destroy Izuku's arc reactor. It had barely withstood a few shots from a 9mm pistol, and there were plenty of quirks there stronger than a pistol. And if it broke in the middle of a fight, his suit could power down and leave him unable to fight. As Izuku looked at the depower arc reactor replacement, he knew he would need to come up with a better way to protect it. The first item that would need to be upgraded was the glass panel on the front as it was almost immediately cracked after the first bullet hit it

After looking at the depowered arc reactor for a bit, Izuku told Jabisu to disassemble the suit and store it away. As the suit was disassembled, Izuku turned and walked out of the room. Once outside UA, he took a bus home, where he made himself a small dinner. After eating it, he promptly went to bed and fell asleep.

The next day school resumed as normal. Gizon and Uraraka had been healed enough that they were able to move around without much struggle or pain. Though Ochaco was clearly favoring her left side and Gizon had a slight wheeze to his breath. While Momo was able to see as Recovery Girl had used her quirk again before school started, her eyes were still hyper-sensitive to light, so she had been instructed to wear a pair of high-powered sunglasses for the rest of the day. Though to be safe Recovery Girl still passed along a note to Mr Aizawa that the three of them were exempted from hero class for the day.

Yet while it might have been normal for those three, Izuku was a bit off-put with all the attention he was getting, though it wasn't much of a surprise. He was one of the first support students in UA's history to get past the first round of the Sports Festival and the very first to have a chance to win the whole event. Students from all three years and teachers were stopping him in the hallway to either congratulate him on making it so far in the Sports Festival or wish him luck in his fight against Gizon the coming Saturday. He was able to take everything in strides, but when the Big Three stopped him he struggled to contain himself.

Mirio Togata considered one of the best students and on the level of mid-ranked pro heroes, heavily praised Izuku for his ingenuity in working hard and being able to find a cool way to use his quirk. Nejiro Hado rapid-fired questions at Izuku, asking about his quirk and what his suit could do at such a rate that even Izuku struggled to keep up with.

Izuku's only saving grace was Tamaki Amajiki, reminding them that they had their own last period to get to. With that being a reminder for himself, Izuku excused himself and ran to his last-period class. Luckily that class was a good break for Izuku from the day, but on the other end, Class 1-A's last period was more tense than usual. Not that the way Mr Aizawa opened class helped at all.

"Alright listen up, Now that the Sports Festival is over, we can move on to the next major learning curve of the hero course." Mr Aizawa said and the mild conversations that were occurring throughout the class quickly settled down, "After the Sports Festival, the first years are able to take place internships under different hero agencies. And as a result of the Sports Festival, some students even get some extra offers."

Mr Aizawa clicked on the projector and names, along with numbers beside them, "For time, I'll just show the top six."

Gizon Hisahito: 5,854.

Shoto Todoroki: 4,867

Momo Yaoyorozu: 4,534

Ochaco Uraraka: 4,058

Katsuko Bakugo: 3,458

Fumikage Tokoyami: 1,058

"Dang, Bakugo and Todoroki only survived the first few rounds of fights, yet they got so many offers." Denki said.

"They'll most likely be because of my father," Shoto said, catching a few members of Class 1-A off guards. None were quite sure what had occurred during his fight against Izuku, all of them were quite surprised when he suddenly started to use his fire. But then after he lost and came up to the seating area, the class expected him to be quiet and hold the stoic look he always had, but instead a gentle smile there. And now it seemed that change wasn't temporary, Shoto was opening up more and more.

"Typically the offers are more spread out throughout the students, but as you can see, these five got more than the rest of the class. Even between fifth and sixth there's a large gap. Many of you also got offers and you'll receive a packet and forms to fill out by the end of the way. And for any who didn't get an extra offer, there are other hero agencies that partner with UA that you will be given a list of." Mr Aizawa said, then sighed, "Now you will be acting as hero, and for that you will need your heroes' names."

A majority of Class 1-A cheered but was quickly silenced by Mr. Aizawa's hair rising and his eyes going red, "Now I am one that does not care for hero names, I have called in Midnight to help. She will be the one that gets the final say in whether your name is good or not."

The door to the hallway opened and Midnight opened. Gizon watched Mineta as he started drooling. It didn't help that Midnight was walking seductively, but Gizon now knew he would have all of Class 1-A support if he started to rain hellfire on Mineta. At the same time, it seemed Midnight was really pushing her new life goal to get Gizon to blush at least once at her antics

So when Midnight's eyes fell on him, Gizon shook his head as a clear sign that her efforts were not working. A moment of disappointment flashed across her face but was quickly covered up by her seductive smile. "Hello, class."

"Listen to Midnight and don't wake me for anything." Mr. Aizawa said, then slipped into his sleeping bag and disappeared beneath his desk.

"Now I want you to think long and hard about your hero names. They should reflect on the kind of hero you want to be. It should be easy to say but recognizable. Many heroes have come to regret the name they chose when they first started out and worked hard to change them. So do yourself a favor and pick a good name. Whiteboards will be passed out and when you have selected a name you will come to the front and present it. I will then tell you whether it's good or not." Midnight explained then passed out the whiteboard.

Many of the students began thinking about what they wanted their hero names to be, while others immediately wrote something down to show they had been thinking about it for some time. While a few couldn't come up with a single idea of what to make their hero names.

After a few minutes, Midnight asked for volunteers and Aoyama graciously accepted. However, after showing his hero name to be, "I can not stop twinkling." Many waited in fear as to whether Midnight would accept the name or not

Luckily Midnight didn't accept it and changed it to "Can't stop twinkling." Which sounded more like a name but didn't sound all that better.

Mina wasn't any better as though her hero name sounded like an actual hero name, Midnight immediately denied it as it was too connected to those frightening creatures from the old movies. So Mina flopped back into her seat to think of a new name.

Throughout the period many showed off their hero names, with many of them being accepted. With only a few needing small revisions. The only one to be outright denied every time was Bakugo's Almighty God of Explosion, Destruction Murder, Ground Zero and its many different variants. Then there was Shoto and Ilda, who decided for the time being to go with their regular names. Bakugo later joined them when Midnight was just tired of dealing with him and threw his whiteboard and marker into the trash and asked him to sit down.

Eventually, Mina got Midnight to agree to the name of Alien Hero: Pinky. Midnight accepted it with a word of caution to Mina, which the pink girl did not seem to hear as she was happy to have 'alien' in her hero's name.

The last person to show his name was Gizon. He hadn't touched his whiteboard or his marker, but the name he was thinking of he had been sitting on ever since he ran away. He could have gone with a cheesy name, something similar to Living Taser, which in actuality his father hated in the beginning but said the name slowly grew on him. But Gizon wanted a name that truly meant something.

Midnight looked at him and said, "Alright Hisahito, you're the last one. Would you like to share your hero name?" Midnight then looked down at Gizon's board and saw it was still blank. Yet the next second Gizon stood up and grabbed his board and marker.

As Gizon walked up to the front, he wrote on the board. Something that reminded him why he had chosen this path. As he stood behind the desk, he thought about all that he had left him. The crimes he committed to help All For One, the training his father had given him. The legacy he was building.

And that was what Gizon was fighting for, to leave behind a better legacy.

Gizon put his whiteboard on the desk and then turned it around. And immediately got mixed reviews.

"His is much worse than mine." Bakugo commented.

Ochaco looked at the name and knew what it meant to Gizon, an oath for the future built from the past, "I think it fits his style."

"Yeah but with the whole thing, it could hurt his image." Tsuyu said.

"Sure I can see it striking fear into the villain easily but what about bringing comfort to civilians." Denki said.

Written on Gizon's board was the name, "Hero's Legacy: Ruin."

Midnight read the name multiple times over. There was nothing wrong with it like Bakugo, but the way Gizon was presenting, it could put easily be portrayed in the wrong way. She turned to him and asked, "Are you sure?"

Gizon smiled a bit, it might not be a powerful name like All Might, but it was a lot better than the name he used to hold. "Is this what I want to be called?" Gizon was proud of his name, it would bring happiness to people who heard while striking fear in the villains he fought. But most importantly it turned his past into fuel for becoming a hero.

"Then I pass it as good. Now once again for those who received internship offers, you will receive your packet tomorrow morning. For everyone else you will receive a list of pre approved agencies at the same time. Please have your top three agencies selected and have the paper turned in by the end of the week. Class dismissed."

While Class 1-A was let out, on the other side of Campus, so was Izuku. As he slipped all his class material into his backpack, he made plans to head to Classroom 6-G, as throughout the day he had researched some alternative material to better reinforce his arc reactor and he wanted to run some simulations.

While at the same time, try to come up with a plan of how to fight against Gizon. During the Sports Festival, Izuku wasn't confident in his ability to fend against Gizon. But now that he had a week to solely focus on the fight, Izuku was going to make good time with it. He was going to rewatch Gizon's fight and learn everything he could about his opponent.

Arriving at Classroom 6-G, Izuku walked inside and quickly booted up the holotable.

"Good Afternoon Master Midoriya. What can I do for you?" Jabisu asked.

"Hello Jabisu." Izuku said as he put his backpack down, disregarding all the homework he had already completed, "I wanted to run some simulation for replacement for the glass panel of my arc reactor."

"Right away sir."

"First simulation, let's start off simple and work our way up. Switch out the tempered glass for borosilicate glass and use the data from our session with Snipe to test each growing thickness, isolating 9mm ammunition." Izuku said as he walked over to the holotable.

A green light went around the edge of the holotable as a loading animation as Jabisu ran the numbers. After a few seconds, the green disappeared and Jabisu said, "Unquantifiable."

Izuku sighed, "Yeah, I should have seen that coming. Borosilicate glass is better known for its thermal properties. How about a polycarbonate compound?"

The green light went around again then disappeared, "1.25 inches, 3.175 centimeters."

"Alright, how about Acrylic?" Izuku asked.

The green light went around again and then disappeared, "1.375 inches, 3.493 centimeters."

"Alright, that's a little bit of a worse option," Izuku said as he looked at the data that appeared above the holotable. The crystal structure of polycarbonate and acrylic glass floats in the air. His eyes jumped between them and then an idea formed in his mind, "Let's try Laminated glass next."

The green light barely had a chance to appear before Jabisu said, "Only an inch thick, 2.54 centimetres."

"So a better option, but there's got to be a different compound that works better," Izuku said as he overlooked the different sets of data that were pulled up. There was a lot of information that at first glance didn't seem that useful, but Izuku always had that information up. To catch the small differences and run with any ideas he came up with.

As Izuku's mind jumped around the information, the telling hissing sound of the door reached his ears. This broke Izuku's concentration and he turned in enough time to see Ochaco, Gizon and Momo walking into the room. Izuku smiled as he was glad to see them again, but there was one small issue, "Welcome. Um, Jabisu who gave them access."

Classroom 6-G was supposed to be one of the best-protected rooms on UA's campus. The security system had been built by his father, with countermeasures to handle the most powerful quirks and coding that would take months just to understand.

"You did, Sir, Yesterday. New User, Momo Yaaoyorozu. Advanced Schools Files." Jabisu said.

Izuku didn't know whether to curse himself or Jabisu. Since only Principal Nezu, Powerloader, Inko and Himself were saved within Jabisu's system, he had to create new levels of access for Mei to get in and out of the room without trouble. Only in and out, she didn't have access to any of the tech within the walls, not even on his death bed would Izuku allow that to happen.

"Hello Jabisu, thank you for giving me Midoriya's location," Momo said. Neither she nor Ochaoc or Gizon knew Izuku had a special workshop to himself, and typing a question out to the AI butler had been shot in the dark. She was only slightly worried when the text on her phone disappeared and a map of the school and directions to the room appeared below it.

On the other hand, Izuku was confused about how Momo was able to contact Jabisu. Though to be safe he said, "Jabisu, remind me to limit your access to other technology outside your servers." Izuku then looked at his guests, "So what brings you to my humble workshop."

"You have this room to yourself." Ochaco said. Izuku was the only one in the room.

"It was my father's old classroom. I was given it as a gift. It's where my father first designed my suit. What can I do for you?" Izuku closed the file he had opened and opened another. Their faces showed they had something to ask, most likely they wanted him to design some equipment.

"I asked you if you could prototype something for me. Remember?" Ochaco asked. That was the reason she was here, she wasn't so sure about Gizon or Momo.

Izuku recalled how after the cavalry battle Ochaco had asked if she could run an idea about support equipment by him. Even reminding himself of their conversation after the festival was over. "I recall. So why don't you tell me what your issue is?

Izuku closed down the different stimulation he had up and opened a new one that he labelled, 'Uraraka'

"Well when I use my zero gravity quirk on myself, I really don't have a way to control myself directionally. I just go in the direction I was going in the first place. When I saw your equipment, I thought I could use something similar." Ochaco explained.

Izuku thought for a moment, then said, "Jabisu, pull up Ochaco Uraraka's school file. Render Suit as 3-d model." Within a minute a 3-D model of Ochaco's suit appeared.

"Cool," Gizon said. He had only seen things like that in movies, seeing it in real life was unexpected. It just added to the list of how advanced Izuku was compared to everyone else, and this meant it would be harder to take him down if he turned out to be Iron Monger. Gizon's eyes darted around and he saw signs of hidden machinery behind different sections of the wall.

"Wait you have a holotable" Momo said as she overlooked the said holotable. Her father's company had a few in the R&D department with some prototypes used for higher-ups and executives. But none of them looked like Izuku's or worked as smoothly, "You never cease to amaze me.

"You can look over it later." Izuku noticed the curious glint in Momo's eyes, it was the same one Mei often got, but fortunately not as gremlin-like. He turned his eyes back to Ochaco's suit, and he gestured to the belt, wrist gauntlets and neck brace of her suit, "I assume the additional equipment is to help with your nausea of using your quirk on yourself."

"How did you know?" Ochaco asked. Without it being explained, really only Momo, Gizon and Sato had really figured out the purpose of the equipment. And with all the training she had been doing, the nausea wasn't too much of an issue. She had gotten better at ignoring it, only noticing it if she slowed down or was getting extremely close to her limit.

"I have the same issue, but to a lesser degree when I fly around. Now if you're hoping to use my repulsor technology, then I have bad news. Unless you have a giant battery, that option is not going to work" Izuku said and noticed Ochaco's defeated look, "Luckily in the world of engineering there is never just one option. Now for the first option, I would need Hatsume's permission. But her hover boots could be modified to help you. Strip away the extra power to hoover and you would have air nuzzles that could push you around. They would have to be placed around your body to provide 360-degree directional movement."

"That sounds like heavy modification, anything simpler?" Ochaco asked. She wasn't thinking about being able to fly like Izuku with his suit. She had other things she was working on and learning how to fly would slow down her progression in those areas. She was most hoping for something simple that would help her go in the general direction she wanted to go, with some minor corrections as needed

"Well, the second option wouldn't be as directional, just getting from point A to point B in a straight line," Izuku said as he blew up the hologram to be life-size and then lowered it so half the top half of the suit was shown.

Ochaco perked up at that, "Perfect, let's start with that one."

"Well." Izuku reached into the hologram and slid his arm into the wrist gauntlet. The gauntlets then formed around his wrist and he pulled it away from the rest of the hologram. The three eyes tracked the motion, surprised the hologram interacted with the real world so smoothly. With a wave of his other hand, the top shell of the gauntlet disappeared, revealing the inner workings. Izuku then noticed the three looks of surprise and smiled as he closed his fist and withdrew his arm from the hologram. Then he clasped his hands together and then pulled them apart, causing the hologram of the wrist gauntlet to increase in size, then waved his hand to dismiss the rest of the 3-D suit model, "The second option would be inspired by your classmate, Hanta Sero. If you increase the size of your wrist gauntlet a bit, about 8 % bigger, you could house a small grapple system. Have room for a hook, a length of wire then a retraction system to pull yourself in the direction of the object you latched onto."

"I believe Sero is self taught in using his quirk to swing from building to building. He'd probably be up to giving you some lessons." Gizon pointed out.

"Now while the support department has permission to make minor modifications to your costumes, I don't have permission to modify any of your hero equipment. So while I can create the blueprint and prototype in house, for it to be fully integrated into your costume, you will need to submit a request to whatever support company created your suit, along with my blueprint and letter signed by me allowing them to use the blueprint." Izuku explained. This wasn't the first time he had run into copyright issues, Mei just loved changing hero equipment around. It had gotten Hatsume Industries into trouble a few times.

"What would be the time table on something like that?" Momo asked. She had a similar request, she was hoping to talk with Izuku about an entirely new piece of support equipment yet her question still applied to her.

"For blueprinting and prototyping, maybe within a month. I have a lot of free time to work on it. After submitting to the company, based on track records you would get the equipment right before midterm exams." Izuku said after a bit of thinking. He didn't have any control over how fast support companies work, so he figured they would work at their standard rate, "Moreover, while you're waiting for the final product from your support department you can practice with my prototype."

"Thanks." Ochaco said, bowing slightly. This was going better than she hoped. Izuku was a big help, even though he wasn't a part of Class 1-A. Yet.

"Now for you two, what can I do for you?" Izuku said as he wrote out some holographic notes on Ochaco's file and then made a gesture for it to disappear, then a new file appeared. Momo blinked and even shook her head to make sure she was seeing things right. Her father's company's R&D department was years away from making a holotable that could track a hand motion so easily and make different functions occur at the same time.

"Actually I'm good. I just wanted to see what surprises you were going to have for our fight this Saturday." Gizon said.

"Nothing yet." Izuku said then smirked, "Doesn't mean I'm not going to have surprises." It was strange, Izuku and Gizon barely knew each other, but they had an understanding of going all out for their fight. In a way through the upcoming battle, they were both seeing what kind of person Izuku was.

"For me, it's not a modification, it's something new." Momo said, as she pulled out a thick red notebook, "This is a part of my hero costume." Momo put the notebook on the table and opened it, the pages fell open to one that had the entire periodic table on it, "As you know my quirk allows me to create any non-organic material. However, I have to know the molecular structure of the material I'm creating. Now I have memorized a lot, but not everything. I thought a book in this style would be great to have to remind myself of molecular structure. Mainly in the heat of battle and I'm not able to recall the information at a moment's notice.

"After some thought I realized that I won't be able to simply pull out my book during a battle and read. Your head's up display got me thinking about having something similar."

"Not to mention falling onto would cause a lot of damage to your spine," Gizon said, as he was bent over looking at the open pages.

"And that." Momo said, though she hadn't really thought about it, but now she could visualize it. If she was thrown back and landed on the shelf and book, it would cause all the impact to go to her lower back and that would cause a problem after a few times.

"Do you want a helmet like mine?" Izuku asked as he looked over the book. It was extremely detailed like his journeys. Izuku looked up at Momo, she seemed comfortable wearing the helmet in the infirmary, but it didn't seem her style.

"No, after wearing these all these days." Momo said as she gestured to the sunglasses she was still wearing. She still had to make a stop at Recovery Girl's office before heading home.

Izuku looked at Momo's sunglasses and wondered why she had been wearing them all day, moreover indoors, "Oh right your eyes. Sorry."

Momo just waved away his concern and said, "I was thinking more like a pair of glasses. It won't have to be so advanced like your helmet, it just needs to store information and display whatever information I need."

There were maybe a few extra features Momo wanted, but at the moment her main focus was digitizing her notebook.

"Well this is a lucky opportunity. Since this was a completely new piece of equipment, and as a certified worker for Hatsume Industries, I would have copyright ownership over it and we wouldn't have to outsource the final product out to a support company. Now I'm assuming you want it to be augmented reality." -Momo nodded- "Well that technology has been commercially available for 30 years." 'Gaming industries definitely helped that move along quickly' "It's simply a matter of shrinking the technology to fit on a regular size of sunglasses. You have a style in mind for the sunglasses."

Momo placed her hand on the holotable and then slowly lifted it. As her hand lifted a pair of sunglasses appeared. They appeared to be a pair of red aviators, with the metallic color matching the rest of Momo's hero costume. Izuku then noticed the sideband of the aviators were thicker than normal, which would provide more room to work with

Izuku picked up the sunglasses and looked them over, "I can turn the glass into a transparent screen, which when turned on will increase the opacity so information can be displayed. The computer chip could be housed in one of the thick ear bands, while the battery is stored within the other ear band. Overall it will be combining all created technology into one piece of equipment. Most will have to be personally manufactured to be the right size, but I could probably have the first prototype down by the end of this week."

Momo was expecting a month before the first prototype, but just as Izuku had explained the technology did exist. It was simply making it the right size to fit Momo's purpose and then troubleshooting it.

"I like having our own support company here at the school. If I have any new equipment for my costume, I'm going to come to you." Gizon said.

"As long as it's new and I don't have to fight copyright issues." Izuku said as he finished looking over the sunglasses Momo provided. He then set them down on the holotable and then looked over at Gizon, "And this talk has given me some ideas to fight you, Hisahito."

"Oh, I'm looking forward to what you've got for me." Gizon said. He was always looking for a challenge. His multiple quirks made it hard for him to find a fair fight, but Izuku's suit looked like it could give one. He would need to be careful on Saturday.

After that the trio dismissed themselves and Izuku began working on the project before him. He first started with Momo's HUD sunglasses. After getting a 3D scan of the sunglasses, he set about scaling down the different pieces of equipment, while having to reconfigure some so as not to lose any processing power. He then worked on the smart glasses, it's a simple AI to be able to automatically darken to better display information. Once that was all done, Izuku hit "Run Program" and the hidden machines within the walls began building the different pieces.

As that happened, Izuku started on Ochaco's request, which was what sparked an idea in Izuku's mind. A capture tool that would be useful against a brawler like Gizon and villains like him. Beyond Izuku's comment about the first option not being the only option, made him like to view his arc reactor problem from a new angle. He had been focused on glass, to allow the glow of his arc reactor to be seen.

While he could have easily covered the arc reactor with the Gold Titanium alloy that made up the rest of the suit. But he liked the way the different lights around his suit gave up this aura of strength and power. And the big light in the middle of his chest just added to that look.

So Izuku switched to materials that weren't transparent and were more opaque, while still allowing the glow of his arc reactor to be seen.

Izuku worked late into the evening, making great progress on the different projects until he decided he had done enough. Not worrying about heading home, Izuku pulled down a cot from a panel on the wall and slept on it.

The next morning, long before school started, Hawks knocked on the door of Principal Nezu's office. "Come in."

Hawks walked in and greeted Principal Neuz. The small mouse hybrid was reading an article that was talking about the skill shown by Izuku Midoriya of the support course. "It seems Sutāku's son has garnered quite the attention. Much of the media is having a field day on the fact a student from the support course was able to beat not only three hero student, but two of the were recommend student, one being the son of the #2 hero. There are some that speculate Midoriya hasn't shown off his full power." Principal Nezu said, without looking up from his tablet.

"Well, the kid wanted to prove he can be a hero. I say he has, I'm surprised the transfer hasn't been made." Hawks said, taking a chair across from Principal Nezu. Principal Nezu lowered his tablet and then took a sip of tea.

"Yes, along with the media, many of the hero teachers want Midoriya to be transferred. They say he needs to be taught how to control his quirk and use his power effectively and I couldn't agree more. However, per a deal made the final say rests with class 1-A's home teacher. Shouta Aizawa, Eraserhead." Principal Nezu said.

"The teacher that expelled his entire class last year." Hawks said, pointing over his shoulder. When he first read about the incident, he nearly fell out of the sky laughing. The media spent a week tearing apart Eraserhead's reputation. Now that past situation was coming back to make the current one more difficult.

"Yes, however precautions have been made that once Midoriya is transferred he can not be expelled. Now to the topic you wanted to bring up." Principal Nezu said. It was clear Hawks hadn't come to make small talk. He needed a favor and only Principal Nezu was the one who could give it the green light.

"Needless to say, the HPSC is all over the kid, have been since his appearance in Fukuoka. The kid's actions during the Sports Festival has only accelerated their timeline. They're building their team of lawyers to take the kid to court. They are going to release a statement that Midoriya's suit of armor was originally designed for military use and that Hisaishi Sutāku was the lead on the project before running away and hiding at UA. The HPSC is playing their cards and will do what they can to get the blueprints to the armor."

"So what is your plan?" Principal Nezu said as clearly Hawks had one or he wouldn't have walked in so confidently.

"The hero course is having their internship in a week. During that time the HPSC will release their statement. They're hoping that you'll be so focused on the internships that you won't be able to get a good defense before coming to court. I want Midoriya to intern under me for the week. It will give the media a show that you're taking Midoriya's skills seriously and you're preparing him to be transferred and it will give me a reason to be in court with him. So I'll be able to protect him." Hawks said, surprising Principla Nezu a bit. But Hawks understood better than anyone else how the HPSC handled their dirty work.

Principal Nezu thought about it for a second, then looked at Hawks and said, "I'll agree to your plan, under one condition."

"Whatever you want." Hawks knew Principal Nezu could make some unreasonable requests sometimes, but Hawks knew Izuku needed to be protected.

"Tell Midoriya. Tell him the reason you're so protective. Your bluff story about taking interest in him has blinded him for a bit. But once the excitement passes, he'll start to question your true intentions. The father became paranoid, I'd rather not allow the same to happen to the son." Principal Nezu said. Even coming Principal Nezu, he knew Hisashi had a brilliant mind. His intelligence in the field of metaethics and engineering was unrivaled. And Principal Nezu did not want to see another brilliant mind become lose in panic.

Hawks thought about it. Eventually, the truth would come out and though Hawks preferred it never did, it came out through the wrong sources, it would spell career suicide for not only himself but Izuku as well. Yet if Principal Nezu believed Izuku needed to know.

Hawks sighed in defeat, "I'll tell him before we appear in court. He should know the truth from me and not from the HPSC."

"Good. I'll fill out the form and have Midoriya interning under you as a hero. And I'll begin preparing our rebuttal." Principal Nezu had worked hard with Hisashi to keep his invention out of the military and the HPSC's hands. Principal Nezu wasn't going to stop, because the HSPC thought Izuku was a pushover. And if Izuku was half as stubborn as his old man was, they were in for a rude awakening.

Chapter 45: Not Dramatic

The following day Ochaco and Toshinori found themselves staying after school yet again, but it wasn't meant as a chance for extra training. Something Toshinori had forbidden her from doing, as she needed to give her body a chance to recover. Which was something Ochaco knew was coming from Recovery Girl and Tohsinori was following along with it out of his great fear for the woman. So why were they headed towards Gym Beta? Well Ochaco was planning on making good on her bet and made Gym Beta the place to tell her story

They soon reached the building and Toshinori scanned his teacher's ID, allowing the door to be unlocked and he pulled the door open. The first thing they saw was Gizon standing in the middle of the gym. His eyes were closed and his body was giving off a slight glow. Suddenly a noise not all too similar to a gunshot went off. Then without opening his eyes, Gizon turned to his side, just as an off-white-yellow projectile narrowly missed his chest.

"Hey Uraraka, Toshinori," Gizon said another gunshot went off. However, this time instead of dodging Gizon held out his hand and grabbed the rubber projectile out of the air. His hand absorbed the kinetic energy, evidenced by the yellow glow around his hand and arm increasing a bit before dimming. But surprisingly Gizon tossed the projectile to his other hand and shook his hand around to get the pain to disappear, while a small look of pain appeared on Gizon's face.

"What are you working on?" Ochaco asked and in response, Gizon tossed the projectile to Ochaco. She looked it over, "Rubber bullets."

"Before I was only able to enhance my strength and speed, but as of recently I've noticed I seem to be about to enhance my senses. Nothing that matches being boosted by a specialty quirk, so I wanted to see how much my reflexes improve. However, I don't exactly have someone to shoot those things at me. So I got Principal Nezu to agree to set this up for me. Seems I'm about to track a slow bullets, but…" Gizon then waved his right hand again, "Seems my quirk is still struggling to deal with a small high velocity object."

Then, as if sensing something, Gizon quickly pulled out a remote and hit a button, "So are you here to make good on the bet."

"Well…." Ochaco said and held out her hand then let them drop to her side, "You won fair and square, still don't understand why you want to hear the story. It's not that special."

"It managed to convince that big blonde idiot to pass his quirk to you, so it must mean something." Gizon said

"Hey." Toshinori said, not enjoying being called out, "I'm not an idiot."

Gizon just shook his head as he walked over to his backpack and pulled out his water bottle. Before taking a sip he said, "Ready, whenever you are."

"It happened five months before the entrance exam." Ochaco began.

It had been a long day for Ochaco and because of that she was tired. She hadn't gotten a good night's sleep before, partially because of how little she had for dinner, partially because she was stressed about how horrible her parents' business was doing. Beyond that school had been long and Ochaco had struggled to make sense of the different lessons. She thought she had been about to keep up with the lessons, but it seemed a series of tests about the new material made it evident she wasn't fully understanding everything.

But those kinds of days were happening more and more often, meaning Ochaco was getting used to them more and more. Thus despite how tired she could be called, she only let out a small yawn as she walked home from school. It was a warm afternoon, but luckily it was getting into fall meaning the nights were colder. Ochaco always slept better on colder nights.

Yet Ochaco still needed to get home and work on her homework before she could have any thought about turning in early to try and make up for lost sleep. And before that, she had to stop by a small convenience store to get a snack.

As Ochaco opened the door and the little bell went off she noticed a thin man with yellow hair over at the counter purchasing some items. He appeared to be the only other customer in the stores, so Ochaco paid him no mind as she headed over to the refrigerator and grabbed herself a cheap soda.

"Thank you for coming and enjoy your weekend." The elder gentleman said from behind the counter.

"You as well." the yellow-haired thing man said as he grabbed his items and left the store.

Ochaco then began to head over to the counter, but not before grabbing a small package of almonds. As she walked up to the counter the elder gentleman's smile grew and he said, "Ah, Uraraka, good to see you again." the elder gentleman, "A number #5?"

"Not today Mr. Yasakoro." Ochaco said she put the almonds and small soda down on the counter, "Just these for the days."

"Parents struggling to get some work." Mr. Yasakoro said as he rang up the item.

"A construction company moved into town and is taking all of the jobs. My parents are able to get the odd job, but mainly it is just repairs and installation. New building just goes straight to the construction company." Ochaco said as she stopped a small yawn from escaping her lips.

"Well, you and your family are in my prayers. I hope someday you'll have the chance to live a better life." Mr. Yasakoro then slipped Ochaco's items into a bag, then added something extra. He handed the bag to Ochaco, who looked inside and saw the extra item.

"Mr. Yasakoro, I didn't." Ocahco said. It was a pork sandwich, with lettuce, tomatoes and olive. A #5, her favorite from Mr Yasakoro's deli, "You can't."

Mr Yasakoro gave a dry laugh and said, "I can do as I please within my own store. Besides, I haven't had a chance to thank you for fixing my sign outside."

"It was just a frayed wire, barely took an electrical tape to fix." Ochaco said.

"And it would have cost me a great deal of money if I had called in a professional. So please, to help this old man's heart, take the sandwich." Mr Yasakoro said as he placed a hand on his chest above his heart.

Ochaco sighed in defeat and took the sandwich. "If only more people were as kind as you."

"Right back at you." Mr Yasakoro said as Ochaco headed to the door

Before opening the door Ochaco turned back around and said with a bow, "Thank you very much Mr. Yasakoro." She enjoyed seeing Mr. Yasakoro. He had a hard life with his family dying from a villain attack. Yet he always wore a smile and was kind and generous to his customers. Ochaco had become good friends with him since starting middle school.

As Ochaco walked out of Mr. Yasakoro's store she pulled out the soda. She twisted off the lid and took a small sip. The cold drink felt good going down her dry throat. While the water fountains at her middle school did work, the water that came out of them was always lukewarm. Ochaco continued to enjoy her drink until she walked by a back alley.

"What did I say would happen if you didn't have my money ready?" A rough voice caught Ochaco's ear. It was a rough neighborhood Ochaco had to walk through, so she heard things like that a lot and always made sure to only pay attention to her own business. She was ready to continue walking until she heard a voice that she recognized.

"I need another few days. I wasn't able to get many jobs." Ochaco's heart sank as she heard the voice. It was a kid from her class, Ren Hachi. He was a loner and didn't talk much, except to Ochaco. She knew his mother had lost her job and was sick with a rare disease and because of that Ren worked odd back alley jobs to try to save money to pay for the surgery his mother needed.

"You made me lose a lot of money because you lost the case. I told you that you had to repay me. One way or another." The older voice threatened.

"Please. I'm trying to help my mother." Ren said.

"I don't care. Your mother should have raised you to be a better worker." The rough voice said, then Ochaco held two things colliding. Ochaco felt her body move before she could think. She was running down the alleyway before she could make a plan. She acted before she could react. And before she knew she had reached Ren and his attacker and acted.

Ochaco gripped her plastic bag and swung it around. It nailed the older man in the face. However, the attack did nothing because as Ochaco's mind caught up, she noticed the person she had attacked had metal skin.

"You want to die too b432h." The man drew back his fist and hit Ochaco in the chest. She flew down the alley and landed in a pile of trash bins, "I suggest you walk away unless you want to die like this idiot." The man turned his attention back to Ren.

Through fuzzy eyes, Ochaco saw the thug begin to hit Ren over and over. Ren began to cry, but his screams never reached the street. No one would know Ren had been killed, not until some garage men came to clean the alleyway.

Ochaco's hands began moving around looking for some kind of weapon to use. Then Ochaco's hand brushed against something metal. She grabbed the object and pulled it out of the trash. It was a barbell from someone's home gym. In the narrow alleyway, Ochaco knew she wouldn't be able to overcome the weight of the barbell to get a good swing. Lucky for Ochaco had her quirk and the barbell's weight wasn't an issue. She gripped the barbell tightly in her hand, she felt the gravity become cancelled on the object. With renewed confidence that Ochaco didn't know the origin of, she got to her feet and got ready to attack.

"Hey, Metal Head." Ochaco ran forward, holding the barbell over her head. The thug looked at Ochaco and smirked. In front of him was a scrawny little girl who was struggling to hold a 45-pound barbell over her head, she wouldn't be able to do much damage.

However, Ochaco wasn't as scrawny as she first appeared to be. She wasn't muscular, but she was in pretty good shape which had come from lifting heavy objects around construction sites. She often helped her parents on the weekend, and that lifting and work had put a lot of power into her muscles. So as Ochaco brought down the barbell, she copied a form she had seen in a movie that made it appear to put more weight behind the attack. It seemed to have worked, as when the barbell hit the thug's head, the barbell began to bend at a weird angle, while the thug looked dazed and even stepped back.

The thug then shook his head and yelled, "You're dead…" Before he could finish the sentence, Ochaco brought the barbell back up and then smacked down on the thug's head again. Immediately the man's eyes rolled back into his head and he fell unconscious.

All of her strength seemed to leave her as Ochaco realized what she had just done. She had illegally used her quirk and then proceeded to use it to attack a man. But it was an attempt to protect one of her classmates. Ochaco felt like she was about to puke but then she remembered Ren. Used to the feeling of nausea, due to her quirk, Ochaco was able to push the feeling to the back of her mind. She then stepped over to Ren and held out her hand, "Are you okay?"

Ren let out a stiff breath and as he inhaled it sounded as if bones were rubbing against bones and through gritted teeth he said, "No, I-I think he broke some ribs." Ren had tears falling down his cheeks. Ochaco let go of the barbell, leaving it to float in the air, she then knelt down and gently lifted Ren's shirt. Her eyes were met with several nasty bruises around Ren's chest and she noticed odd bumps on his side. Those were most likely from the broken ribs.

Ochaco teared up and said, "Come here." Being careful of his broken ribs, Ochaco hugged him, "I'll help you out to the street."

"I don't think I can walk." Ren said with tears.

"That's okay. You've been strong, take a rest." Ochaco then looked at the floating barbell. Lowering it to the ground, Ochaco released her quirk and touched all five fingers to Ren's chest. With the weight off of his chest, Ren felt like he was about to breathe easier and from the sense of relief he cried even harder. Ochaco then lifted him up to his feet.

Ochaco then looked at the thug. She couldn't just leave him in the alleyway. She needed to bring him out to the street as well. Using her quirk on the thug, she grabbed his jacket and then gripped the back of Ren's neck. She then hauled the two out of the street, where she gently put Ren on the ground before releasing her quirk, letting the thug just fall to the ground.

Ochaco then pulled out her phone and quickly dialled 110, "Yes hello I would like to report some domestic abuse and illegal quirk usage off of Shimiochigi and Mihama. A block east from Mr. Yasakoro's convenience store."

Ochaco then ended the call, then waited for the police to arrive. She sat down next to Ren and did her best to comfort him, but she didn't have any medical practice and all she could do was reapply her quirk to help take the weight off his chest. As the police arrived, the thug began to wake up, so Ochaco was quick to explain the situation, which resulted in the thug being slapped in cuffs and being taken to the station. After Ren's chest was examined and wrapped, he was given some painkillers. Then was loaded up into an ambulance, and it was only then that Ochaco released her quirk.

Then as the ambulance rushed off, Ochaco was directed into a police cruiser. She had attacked someone and had used her quirk, but since it had been to help someone and she had been cooperative, she wasn't forced to wear handcuffs. After the police debated what to do for a few minutes, Ochaco was taken down to the station and into one of the integration rooms where she re-explained and added more detail to her story of how she came across Ren.

"So it sounds like you just want to help your friend out? But the means you use to do so, missy, it could put you in a lot of trouble." The officer said.

"Yes and I understand officer. But Hachi, he's had a hard life and his mother struggled to have steady income. I know Hachi wasn't doing the most legal jobs, but I can understand why he had to." Ochaco said. It was the same reason she helped her parents at jobs. She wanted to give them a better life, but as she grew her dreams of becoming a pro hero seemed more and more distant.

"I'll have an officer pick up Ms. Hachi and drive her to the hospital. Then we'll help the two of them find some steady income. As for you, this is your first offense, like ever. So good on you for keeping your nose clean, and you'll be written off with just a warning." The officer said.

"Thank you officer." Ochaco said.

Suddenly a knock came from the door and the officer got up to answer it. The officer had barely opened the door and the conversation was held in a whisper, so Ochaco couldn't see who it was or hear what they were talking about. After a few seconds, the officer turned back to Ochaco and said, "It appears you have a visitor."

Ochaco panicked a bit, then realized it couldn't have possibly been her parents. They were out at a job that was an hour out. Then who could it possibly be? Her question was answered as the officer moved out of the way and two men walked into the room. The officer moved out of the way to reveal two men. The first one to step into the room was wearing a tan trench coat and a hat. The second man Ochaco recognized as the man she had seen at Mr Yasakoro's store.

"Hello, Ms Uraraka. Officer Namso thank you for letting us in. If you could give us the room." The first man said to the officer as he pulled off his head. He then looked over at the one side glass panel. The officer tipped his hat and then left the room, "Hello my name is Detective Naomasa Tsukauchi."

"And I am Yagi Toshinori." Toshinori said as he sat down at the table across from Ocahco.

"We would like to preface this by saying that you aren't in any trouble." Detective Tsukauchi said as he made sure the door was locked and then he walked over to the table and sat next to Toshinori, "You were merely helping out a friend and circumstances arose."

"And you acted like a hero. You work to protect a friend who was in trouble with no thought of reward or praise. There are many pro heroes out there who talk about how their bodies acted before they could think. Their only thought was to protect the innocent." Toshinori said, "Is that not how you described to the police, as it certainly looked like that."

"I guess." Ochaco said, as she had a few brief moments of relief after being told she wasn't in trouble, but was now confused where this conversation was going.

"That attribute is often seen as the spirit of a true hero. And from that we have something that we would like to discuss with you." Toshinori said.

Back in Gym Beta, Ochaco took a deep breath and let her shoulder drop, she didn't realize how tense she had been while telling the story. She took a breath and said, "Like I said, not that dramatic. It's not like I stopped a massive villain's attack from happening. I was just helping out a friend."

Gizon just shrugged his shoulders and turned to Toshinori, "At first she didn't believe who I was or the truth about my quirk."

"Though after he revealed his transformation and told me the history of One for All. Well I'll admit I didn't hundred percent believe the story about his quirk, but I saw it as an opportunity to be trained by the symbol of peace. I didn't believe in One for All until I gained the quirk. Since then I've continued to train to be his successor." Ochaco said.

"I chose Young Uraraka because she displayed the character traits of a hero. Selflessness, a want to help other people and not backing down from a fight, among other things. One for All might be a crystallization of stockpiled power, but a person is able to draw its true power out when they're pure of heart." Toshinori said.

"Guess that explains why Uraraka can't use its full power." Gizon said, then stepped back, just out of range as Ochaco swung a right hook that could have knocked the person out.

"You want to say that again, jerk," Ochaco said as she took a small step forward to make sure her next punch wouldn't miss. She didn't care if Gizon would be able to absorb the damage, it was going to feel good

"No, I think I've made my point." Gizon said, then cleared his throat, "So you had five months to be ready to receive One for All?" -Ochaco nodded- "That doesn't seem like much."

"Well Young Uraraka was well on her way to be ready anyway. Helping her parents with different construction jobs helps lay a good foundation." Toshinori said, "So it was more targeted training, so that her body was strong enough to handle the influx of energy and strength."

"Was any of that training learning how to control One for All?" Gizon asked, already knowing the answer to the question.

Toshinori paused. "Um, no. I didn't give Young Uraraka One for All until the morning of the entrance exam." Toshinori said, getting a feeling of what he was going to hear from Gizon.

Toshinori braced for Gizon to berate him with a comment such as, "Why did you decide to give your successor a highly potent quirk and then send her into a highly stressful situation."

But Gizon just shook his head in disappointment and said, "Then might I suggest thanking Midoriya in some way for saving your successor during the entrance exam."

"Uh what?" Toshinori asked, confused about where that comment had come from.

"You elected to forget that Uraraka got stuck under some debris and Midoriya had to step in to destroy the zero-pointer." Gizon said, recalling how Ochaco had shared her experience from the entrance exam.

Toshinori had been in the teacher's booth watching the entrance exam and afterwards, Ochaco recalled her personal experience. She talked about the panic and fear she felt and what plan she had going, "Oh, yeah."

Dismissing that, Gizon turned to Ochaco and asked, "What did your parents think of your extra training?"

"They were a little concerned in the beginning. My sudden vigor, odd excuses to go out and train, coming home smelling like sweat and trash. They talked to me and shared their concerns but after meeting Toshinori…" Ochaco said and Gizon raised an eyebrow. If the number of One Pro Hero for Japan meeting with Ochaco's parents. Well personally, Gizon felt that would have raised more questions than answers could be given.

"Me." Toshinori said, gesturing to himself, "Not All Might."

Gizon didn't nod but simply turned to Ochaco to allow her to continue, "He explained the situation about how he was a scout of UA's hero program and how his department could take care of the extra expense to help with my diet and training. Five months later I'm going to UA and doing their entrance exam."

Gizon nodded, then headed over to his backpack, and began looking for something.

"What are you looking for?" Toshinori asked.

"You told me your story, now it's time I tell you mine." Gizon said as he reached into his backpack and pulled a small item out.

Ochaco tilted her head and said, "What? But I lost, so I had to share my story. That was the deal we made for the Sports Festival."

"My quirk demands an equivalent exchange and with All for One becoming bold enough to attack UA. If I don't want to see the world being destroyed, I need to expand my circle of trust. So a story for a story." Gizon said as he began to walk back to the duo, "Last time I told you how I know All for One and who my father was. Now it's time I tell you who I was."

Gizon flipped the small item between his fingers as if it was a coin, "There the general consensus thought that as a person's grows, so does their quirk. Albeit overall strength or the different things it can do. However, as I grew up, my quirk never did. When I first gained my quirk I could hold about 20 pounds of kinetic energy. Yet as I grew that amount never really grew, even with all the training I did. Eventually I top out about 100 pounds of force, there was nothing I could do to get stronger. But my father, you see he wanted me to be strong, fast, and unseen. Be untouchable, the perfect thief. Make it so no average pro hero could catch me and any who did I was able to fight my way out. So when I was 10 my father approached All For One and offered a deal. He would complete two highly dangerous, impossible tasks in exchange for two of All For One's quirks."

That comment struck a chord with Toshinori and he waved to make Gizon pause, "Hold on, you have two quirks like Uraraka?"

Gizon shook his head and held up his thumb, index and middle finger, "I have three in total. After my father completed the two jobs, All For One gave me two additional quirks by the names of Hyper Generation and Force Multiplier."

"And that's how you were able to heal so quickly after the USJ," Ochaco said, recalling how healed Gizon was during their conversation shortly after the attack on the USJ building.

Gizon bounced his head side to side, "In truth Hyper Regeneration and Force multiplier aren't as strong as they sound, in reality that's part of the reason All for One was willing to give them up. Hyper Regeneation really ain't that hyper, while it does accelerate the user's regenerative properties, it really only to the point that it takes a week to fix a broken bone. And Force multiple only doubles the force behind the attack."

"Still that's pretty good." Ochaco mumbled.

"The only reason they are strong now has to do with my primary quirk: Energy Absorption. When I was given them, I tested them out and found how weak they were. Then the following two days it felt as if my entire body was on fire and I could feel that something was happening. It felt as if Energy Absorption was absorbing the quirk energy from Hyper Regeneration And Force multiplier, like it was mixing them together in an attempt to …. I don't know, like it was trying to make something new. On the third day I tested them out and found some items out. My primary had double to 200 pounds of forced, not only that but I could direct that energy to Hyper Regeneration and Force Multiplier, temporarily strengthening them too. I guess it is not all too dissimilar to how One for All can amplify its user quirk."

"200 pounds of force that doesn't sound that much. I mean you were throwing punches equal to 40 percent One for All. That's a lot more than 200 pounds of force." Ochaco said.

"There in lies the secret to my strength. Energy absorption can only hold 200 pounds of force, but Hyper Regeneration has a larger store unit. Say Energy adsorption is your standard storage unit, Hyper Regeneration is the whole lot. And the way I'm toable exert more than 200 pounds of force is through force multiplier. You see everything I can do is because I have three very weak quirk working together to do the feat one powerful quirks. I am constant moving the energy from Hyper Regeneration to Force Multiplier and then using it through Energy Absorption. And it took a lot of work, but I was able to gain complete control over my quirks." Gizon said.

"What do you mean?" Toshinori asked.

"When I tested Hyper Regeneration, it sort of just started working automatically when I broke my hand. Force Multiplier, there was a split-second feeling when I landed a hit that I could make it strong, which coincidentally led to the testing of Hyper Regeneration. But after waking up I could prevent myself from healing, choose when it happened and I could add more force behind an attack before throwing, all by manipulating the energy from my primary quirk." Gizon then turned to Ochaco. "When we were fighting Nomu, I was redirecting most of my quirk's energy into Force Multiplier so I could dish out attacks similar to All Might. When we were in Recovery Girl's office, I had some leftover energy that I redirected to hyper regeneration to heal my body in tandem with Recovery Girl's quirk.

"Then during our fight Uraraka you broke my hand, I was focused on the fight so I stopped any energy from going into Hyper regeneration and fixing it. Because I knew if I had any chance to withstand One for All, I had to pour everything into Force Multiplier. Even during our final clash, you were overpowering me and I had to use Force Multiplier and double it by 15 to match your strength." Gizon said.

"Is that where that golden hue of your's came from?" Ochaco asked, remembering how back during their fight, she could feel herself winning against Gizon, but then his biblical glow disappeared only to return with a more golden color and he began to push her back.

Gizon nodded.

"So hold on, you have three quirks in total. 'Energy absorption, Hyper Regeneration and Force Multiplier." Toshinori said, listing them off on his hand, then he thought about the report on the biology of Nomu from the USJ, "Yet Nomu had two quirks and is what scientists were led to believe was the reason behind its transformation. But you have two extra quirks, but you look completely…."

"Human." Gizon said, holding his arms out as if he were presenting himself, "Yeah I read the report and I asked the same question. I don't why I haven't transformed into a Nomu, but if I had to hazard a guess. It's because of Energy absorption. Remember how I said after getting my extra quirks my body was on fire for two days? At the time I thought it was just my body getting used to the quirks, but after thinking about Nomu, I'm thinking it was my body almost transforming. In fact I think that's where this came from." Gizon said as he pulled down his shirt to show the black scar over his chest and showing that it had grown, "Energy absorption can only still how handle 200 pounds of force but I've been overloading it a lot since the beginning of school with Force Multiplier. I don't think this is just a sign of quirk exhaustion, I think it the suppress of a Nomu transformation of some kind."

"Are you saying that you're slowly transforming into a Nomu?" Toshinori asked, but Gizon just shook his head. At the moment the only one that could possibly have the right answer would be All For One's assistant, the older man that Gizon simply knew as The Doctor. But it wasn't as if Gizon could simply dial up his number and call him. But if Gizon was slowly transforming into a Nomu, then he was as sure as hell was going to do something before he hurt anyone. He was here to fix what the past had broken, he wasn't going to let himself break anything more.

"Wait, hold on, I have two quirks." Ochaco said in a panicked tone and pointed a finger to herself, "Am I going to transform into a Nomu?"

Toshinori froze upon seeing the panic in Ochaco's eyes. Gizon was quick to ram his elbow into his side. Toshinori let out a whizz and then said "Uh, no. All previous wielders of One for All had two quirks and none of them turned into Nomu. Remember the first wielder was given a stockpile quirk, so One for All should be able to be passed to any number of people and none would transform."

Ochaco let out a breath of relief, but Gizon could tell that thought was going to linger for a bit. Gizon turned to Toshinori and said, "Good cover."

As Ochaco seemed to be calming down Gizon went back to a point he was trying to make earlier, "Now something I learned about All For One, from the times I saw him in person, is he's the type of person that gathers. Not just quirks, but information. Information about people of interest, whether it was a villain or a pro hero. He didn't just gather information about their quirks, but their personal life as well. The day my father died, I knew All for One would be coming for me. Luckily I had a two-hour head start and I made good use of it." Gizon then held out the small item in his hand to Toshinori. Who looked down and saw it was a flash drive, "I didn't have much time in his office, so I wasn't able to copy much information."

Gizon tossed Toshinori the flash drive, "It contains all the information about who my extra quirks initially belonged to and some extra information I was able to get hold of before All For One came knocking for retribution."

"Retribution?" Toshinori asked as he took the flash drive.

"Yeah, my father owed the big man some debt when he got killed. And what's the saying, "Sins of the father fall upon the heads of the sons." Gizon said with a shrug of his shoulders as if he didn't have the literal boogeyman after him, "So I ran away and hid."

Gizon then turned to Ochaco, "And that's my story. Not all that more interesting than yours. While you were stepping forwards and acting like a pro hero. I was running away and hiding like a coward. So don't think you don't have it in you to be the pro hero of your childhood dream."

Ochaco just nodded, but in her mind, she was thinking about what she was trying to make her life out to be. On the surface, she could say she was trying to be All Might's successor, to be the next symbol of peace. To hold up One for All's legacy, to be the next top hero. But wasn't that every pro hero's dream in a way, to be known as the strongest, most powerful hero?

It was the same dream that all of her classmates had, what could make her so unique, make her stand out in a crowd that was already filled with more interesting people. She recalled the comment Kirishima had made about how his quirk wasn't flashy, especially when being compared to others like Bakugo, Shoto, or even Momo and Shoji. But then she recalled Gizon's comment, about how despite Kirishima's reservations, his quirk was still good enough to get him into Japan's number one hero school and what made Hardening special was how Kirishima chose to use it.

There was nobody out there that had a quirk like Zero Gravity, but there were several quirks that had super strength, so Ochaco would need to find a way to stand out among that. Ochaco looked at Toshinori, it was his quirk before her and from that, he was about to become known as the symbol of peace. Could she ever top that?

Toshinori looked down at the flash drive and pocketed it, "You've done a lot to help prepare us for All For One's return and we'll put whatever information you managed to get to good use."

"Yeah." Gizon said half-heartedly. He then began to walk to the door to pick up his backpack.

As Gizon grabbed his backpack, Toshinori called, "And Young Hisahito, good job forging your own path. We'll make a pro hero out of you yet."

Gizon gave the same smirk that he always had while training Ochaco. He then turned out of the gym but not without raising his arm similar to how he did after his fight with Ochaco during the Sports Festival. Then before the door closed he called out, "Then I guess I'll be seeing you at the finish line."

Omake:

As Gizon and Ochaco walked to the train station, she was reflecting on what Gizon had told her about his past. He had put a lot of trust in her and Toshinori when he decided to tell them who he was, or who he used to be. But to reveal his extra quirks and how personal he was with All for One. Yet in the back of her head, there was a nagging thought that did seem to want to reveal itself.
