She bit her lip and asked, "Do you want some water?"
"Yes." Shen Mingfeng nodded.
Jian Yanyan withdrew her hand from his, turned around to pour some water.
Shen Mingfeng looked at his now empty hand, momentarily dazed, that sudden loss of warmth, much like when Jian Yanyan left his life.
He suddenly felt a bit excited, staring at Jian Yanyan's back, somewhat greedy.
Jian Yanyan poured a cup of water, came over to hand it to him, but instead of taking the cup, he grabbed her hand along with it.
"What are you doing?" Jian Yanyan panicked, trying to pull back, but the hand holding hers started to tremble violently.
He furrowed his brow, using his other hand to clutch the wrist of the trembling one, looking quite flustered.
Jian Yanyan suddenly stopped struggling, instead sighed, sat on his hospital bed, holding the cup, brought the water to his lips, and said in a particularly gentle voice, "Come, take a sip of water."
