Every time he thought about it, Thomas Smith's anger flared up again. Looking at Helen Melendy, everything about her was annoying to him.

He held back and waited, and waited some more. Just as he was losing patience and about to speak, Helen finally put down her files, looked up at him, and asked in a nonchalant tone:

"Did you need something from me?"

Thomas looked at Helen, trying his best to keep calm, and said:

"Come with me to the Police Station, I have something I need you to handle."

That high and mighty tone made Helen unable to stop herself from chuckling.

"What are we going to the Police Station for?"

Helen leaned lazily against the back of her chair, raised an eyebrow, and asked him.

Thomas didn't explicitly say it, instead meeting Helen's half-smiling gaze:

"To bail someone out for me."

Helen could easily see the flicker of guilt in Thomas's eyes.
