Olivia Parker lifted her face, her dark eyes quietly fixed on Kasper Edith's face. It took her a moment before she looked away and took several handbags from his hand.
"Mr. Edith, I've realized you're a bit clumsy."
Kasper Edith was momentarily stunned, still pondering the meaning of her words, when his phone started ringing again from his pocket.
He glanced at the paper bags in his hand, wanting to put them down but instead tightened his grip on the straps.
"Olivia, help me out."
Olivia turned her face.
"Left pocket."
Kasper Edith's tone was so natural, it didn't seem deliberate at all.
Olivia raised her free hand and reached into his suit pocket to retrieve the phone, connected the call, and held it to his ear.
"Mr. Edith, the court summons has been delivered to the company, and Jocelyn Kim has already filed the lawsuit."
Through the receiver, it was Oliver Palmer's voice.
Kasper Edith's gaze darkened.
"Alright, I understand."
