Because of Kevin Gregory?
Or did he misunderstand her relationship with Kevin Gregory?
Aurelia Wood had been trying to guess his thoughts. From her perspective, his deep-set features showed no expression, which made him even more inscrutable compared to before.
In the past, he at least wouldn't deliberately hide anything in front of her.
But at this moment, he was clearly sitting right beside her, yet for some reason, she felt he was far away, or perhaps there's a transparent film between them—visible, but unreachable.
Just as she was staring at him continuously, Arthur Baker suddenly turned his head and looked over, catching her gaze.
Aurelia realized her own awkwardness and shifted her gaze in embarrassment.
Arthur Baker raised an eyebrow, "What are you looking at?"
This was the first thing he said to her since getting in the car.
"Nothing, just thinking about some things."
"What things?"
"I was wondering if you're angry?"
