Chapter Two
After Kris Shaw left, Sofia Hamilton sat there in low spirits.
She hugged her knees, burying her face in them, unable to calm her mind for a long time.
Ryan Gregory saw she was unhappy, so he sat next to her, trying to cheer her up, "Is there anything you'd like to eat?"
She shook her head…
"Then, how about going for a walk outside?"
Still, she shook her head…
Ryan slightly frowned, paused for a moment, and then spoke, "I know you're upset right now, no one wanted this to happen. If anyone is to blame, blame me for being too late. Sofia, I don't want to see you unhappy."
The last thing he wanted was to see her unhappiness…
It was worse than losing a business deal.
If money could buy happiness, he would gladly use all his wealth to buy endless happiness.
Sofia looked up at his worried eyes. To reassure him, she smiled slightly, "I'm fine, I just want to be alone for a bit."
