Chapter Three
"Want something to eat?"
Aaron Brown turned his head and looked, not in the mood for any fruit.
"Take it to Regina, I have no appetite."
As he spoke, he looked out the window again.
Lucy Greene lowered her eyes, seeing his heavy mood, and didn't press further.
She turned and carried the fruit platter to Regina Brown's room.
But...
She opened the door, and where was Regina Brown's shadow?
Her heart sank, Lucy felt something was wrong.
"Aaron!!"
"Aaron!"
She rushed back to Aaron Brown's room, "Regina's missing!"
"What did you say?"
Aaron Brown's heart tightened, he quickly rushed to her room, pushed open the door, and there was indeed no sign of her, the ropes that bound her lay on the ground!
She escaped!!
Aaron Brown frowned deeply, after barely getting her through last night, she wanted to escape again...
Was she trying to find that thing to eat?
Or...
In that moment, an inexplicable bad premonition surged within him.
