Chapter Seven
Millie wagged her tail at Lena, who reached out her little hand to hug the dog, "Now it's just you playing with me. Daddy is nowhere to be found, he never comes home."
As she spoke, she stroked the dog's head, "Do you think he'll disappear again for a long, long time? How long do I have to wait? Sigh..."
Lydia Mitchell walked out and overheard the little girl saying these words.
In that instant, her eyes turned red.
The tears she had struggled to hold back almost fell again.
She didn't know what was wrong with herself.
In this house, there was only herself left...
However, thankfully, there were still the children, and Sofia Hamilton.
Otherwise, she wouldn't know what the meaning of her life would be.
Lydia Mitchell stepped forward and crouched beside Lena, "Lena, what are you doing here all alone?"
"Because Wilson won't play with me. He must be having a midlife crisis, throwing a big tantrum, acting like I've bullied him, it's so unreasonable."
