Chapter 2
She couldn't stop shaking, not even when she tried to speak.
Her hands trembled violently, and the phone in her grip looked like it might fall at any moment.
Just as her craving for a cigarette consumed her, a laugh echoed from the other end of the phone. Edward Wood sneered, "What's the matter? Feeling hooked already?"
Her heart sank with a jolt, an intense unease surged through her. In a trembling voice, she asked, "What exactly did you give me to smoke?"
Her instincts screamed that this was no ordinary cigarette.
Even though it looked indistinguishable from a regular one.
The addiction it caused, however, was unnervingly overwhelming…
To the point that it made her feel like living was worse than dying.
This was definitely not as simple as just smoking.
"Harry Greene, what the hell did you make me smoke?"
