After class, the students split into different locker rooms to change back into uniform. In the boys locker room the gathered men changed as they thought about the recent matches that had transpired. It was Iida who let his first thought fly.
"I just want to say good job out there! You all performed well, even if you did not win your battles."
There was collective happiness spread from the message, though it would seem not all felt it. Bakugo slammed his locker shut as he just finished changing. Without looking up, he slung his bag over his shoulder and made his exit.
"Jeez. Somebody's cranky…" Kaminari noted.
"Yeah. Needs to take a page from Midoriya," Sero mentioned
"A rumbling storm," Tokoyami said cryptically.
As they continued, Shinso leaned towards Izuku.
"What's his problem?"
"Kacchan doesn't like to lose. Especially to me," Izuku explained with a tired expression.
'Puny Kacchan cry about it…'
Another teen the others could feel the anger of was Shoto, said boy let out a cold sigh as he continued to avoid gazes and change out of his costume. Izuku took note. He had never seen someone as silently angry as him before and it was scary.
"Talk about cold," Kirishima noted, earning a nod from a silent Shoji and nervous Koda.
As they talked Shinso noticed a slight pleading in Izuku's eyes.
"Not telling. You'll have to figure out Toga's quirk on your own."
"Figured I couldn't make it that easy though still…"
As the greenette attempted to tie his tie he noticed Mineta and a thought occurred to him. Walking up to the boy, the purple midget turned to the other teen, taking note of his questioning look.
"Mineta, Toga used her quirk on you right?"
"Yeah."
"So you know how her transformation works?"
"Ah, so you want to know how it works. I guess all your quirk nerd talk was true."
"Thanks," Izuku said as he produced his notebook and clicked his pen. To the confusion of those still present. Though he was stopped as Mineta held up a finger.
"But it comes at a price."
Izuku's face darkened a bit as he continued to listen to the purple midget. The boy had a perverted look in his eye as he named his price.
"You're dating Yaoyorozu right? Maybe you co-"
"Let me stop you right there Mineta," The boy began, a shadow cast over his green eyes. He knelt and placed an arm around the purple pervert. "You know my quirk requires anger to transform."
"Yeah…"
"So I have to control my anger to not cause any incidents."
"Sounds about right," The midget said, sounding a little scared.
"Let me tell you this:" Izuku began looking the boy dead in the eyes with a sinister quiet anger. "Continue to treat my girlfriend as an object and I'll crush your so-called manhood to pulp without even changing a shade."
'Not even leave any for Hulk…rude…'
With a pat on the back, Izuku turned back to Shinso who looked a mixture of impressed and a little frightened. As the insomniac finished his own uniform change he walked by Izuku, ignoring the pale and lifeless midget still processing the threat he received.
"Not even gonna ask him again. He might just give it for free now."
"I'm good. Besides, like Toga said, it's more fun to figure it out myself."
The two shared a chuckle as they made their way back to class.
Meanwhile in the girls locker room, Jiro had a cool grin on her face. Her quirk gave her superhuman hearing. So she was privy to the guys' conversations and had just heard Izuku's promise to Mineta. The threat had caused her to laugh, getting the attention of the others.
"Whats' so funny," Momo questioned
"Nothing. You got quite a man there Yaoyorozu."
She blushed in agreement to that with a nod and a slight loving chuckling to herself.
"Shame all the good men are taken," Toga bemoaned dramatically as Ochaco felt an odd case of deja vu.
"Oh, are you a Shinso not together?" Mina said, fixing her skirt as she fitted her own uniform back on.
"We're just friends Ashido, ones who share a common problem."
"You mean your quirks?" Hagakure questioned.
Toga froze a bit before giving a small nod.
"I don't know what the problem is, your quirk is awesome!" Ochaco said, giving a little pump of her fist.
"I mean I can see why it's scary," Asui said bluntly
"Geez Asui, read the room," Jiro said.
"Sorry. I just tend to speak my mind. Her quirk can be scary, but she'll make a good underground hero. They thrive with scary powers."
"Now that you mention it Toga, you seem to know Mr. Aizawa quite well," Momo mentioned, tying her ponytail.
"Oh yeah! He's been training me and Shinny in our spare time. He's also been a huge help to me," the blond explained, making sure her own bun hairstyle was back to code.
Hagakure and Mina let out a shudder, pitying the poor girl for going through more training with their toughest teacher. Though they missed her underlying fondness for the man.
"Well it seems to work. I don't think Mineta saw you coming at all," Ochaco noted
"Yeah. His training really helps," Toga said, looking away again. There was a distant look in her eyes.
It was here Momo took note of her tone and look. It harkened back to the tone during their match. There was something there. Something dark. As an up and coming hero, her first instinct was to help. However, she knew she needed more info before acting. That couldn't stop her from befriending the blond though. The blond noticed her gaze and bowed slightly.
"Sorry for the stab," she apologized hastily, worry evident in her voice
"No problem, it was combat training. In fact I think your technique is excellent for someone self taught."
"Thanks."
Before the conversation could continue, the bell rang out. With that the girls made their way back to class, Momo thought happily about Toga's apology. She was a little worry about the fear in the girls voice and as a friend she vowed silently to help anyway she could. It would have to wait though.
Classes had ended for the day and Izuku found his group walking to the front gate. Part of him was surprised still that he had one of those. It felt nice. They stopped when they heard a voice catching up to them.
"Hey Zuzu! Wait up!"
They turned and saw what the voice predicted. It was Toga running to catch up, dragging a tired and annoyed Shinso behind her. Iida, ever the forward one, greeted them.
"Ah, Shinso and Toga! Are you on your way home too?"
"You bet! Though I'm mostly here to see Shinny off."
"Oh do you need a ride?" Momo offered, keen on aiding a new friend.
"Not really," she shook her head a slight apprehensive look in her eyes, "I actually-"
"She's a ward of U.A." Shinso finished for her, sensing her nervousness, "One of the teachers looks after her."
With a sad nod and apprehensive look, the girl nodded. There was a story there, but for later and the group wasn't one to let the doldrums come in. Luckily the one who was an expert came forward.
"So Toga, which teacher looks after you?" Izuku asked, both a serious and a bit of a silly question.
"Oh Zuzu, I think you already know the answer to that."
The group thought for a bit before realization hit them. They did see her caretaker talking to her and her friend when they took the quirk assessment exam. Bewildered looks were all around.
"Really?" Iida asked
"Him? So that's what you meant," Momo questioned.
"He doesn't seem the type," Ochaco commented.
"Don't be so sure. He's actually a real softie, especially with 'troubled' and 'oddball' kids as he calls them," Toga explained.
"I can second that. After the exam, he offered to tutor me and help me into the hero course. I could hardly believe it myself," Shinso supported.
Izuku felt a sense of kinship with these two even more now. From the way they talked it would seem they had the same feelings and experiences with Aizawa as he had for All Might. A small world indeed.
With that settled, Toga said her last goodbyes as she went back into the school to wait for her guardian. The others made their way out the gates and down the road. Soon they found a limousine waiting as Momo turned to the others.
"Well this is me and Izuku, though if any of you want a ride you are welcome."
"I am good. The walk provides good exercise which is essential for hero work!" Iida explained in his ramrod fashion.
"I gotta pick some things up at the store. It's the final week of sales for some items," Ochaco said, getting a faraway look in her eye, "Including several types of mochi."
"I actually live close by. Thanks, but I'll let you lovebirds have your alone time," Shinso teased.
The couple blushed at that comment though they knew their friend group was likely respecting a couple's alone time. Though they should hang out as group one of these days, but right now they are keen to spend some time together as boyfriend and girlfriend. The couple got into the car after waving off the others, wishing them well and looking forward to classes tomorrow. In fact, Izuku had a small date idea if Momo was willing.
"Hey Momo, do you want to get something to eat?"
His girlfriend looked at him surprised though pleased, "Of course. In fact there is a place I've always wanted to try."
"Then let's go."
Hand in hand, Momo gave orders to the driver as the car moved towards its destination.
When thinking about what his girlfriend would want to go for an evening dinner, Izuku had certain expectations. He was expecting something high class or expensive at the very least. Sushi or the finest rare cuisines man had to offer. Granted any meal would taste right when with his girlfriend, but he acknowledged she had the access to the finer taste in life.
So when the limo let them out and they walked up to a Burger King, Izuku was a bit confused. She seemed nervous and blushed at his questioning glance.
"Probably not what you were expecting, huh?"
"Not really…"
"Well, I've wanted to try new experiences and I know I'm a bit sheltered, so I wanted to branch out."
"It's alright. In fact, I'm glad we're here," He then produced an All Might themed wallet, "I can actually pay for this date, like a proper boyfriend."
"Oh, I can-"
"I insist."
With a chuckle at this display of chivalry, Momo offered her hand and the two made their way in. They placed their order and got their food and sat at a booth. With anticipation, Momo took her first bite of fast food.
"Wow. This is amazing," She exclaimed her feature lighting up.
Izuku chuckled as he ate some onion rings. While he preferred fries, Hulk liked the onion rings and Izuku felt the green giant deserved a little reward. Swallowing, the boy turned the conversion to the day they just had.
"So, how about that first class? You were amazing!"
"I just got lucky with the time," Momo blushed, "You and Hulk had the better match by far. That super move was stellar."
"Not as much as yours though! That pulse you orchestrated was so cool! And the way you kept Toga in place to ensure the hit? Incredible!"
Momo blushed under her boyfriend's praise, though a small part of her felt doubt with her abilities. It was still small and her repeated failure came to the surface for a moment.
"I could do more if I ever perfect the reactor."
Extending his hand and grasping hers, Izuku gave a confident smile, "You'll figure it out. I mean, you are the smartest person I know."
Momo giggled, "You're not so bad yourself. I mean it probably wasn't the Hulk's idea to counter Bakugo's blast with that clap."
'Hulk admit Puny Midoriya help out a little…'
The couple's grip tightens as they look at each other with loving eyes.
"Let's both agree to try to be the heroes the other thinks we are," Momo proposed.
"Deal."
The lovers continued their impromptu fast food date with high spirits. The peaceful meal is the perfect ending to the first step towards their heroic dreams.
The next day began with the couple hand in hand walking down to U.A. After their dinner together he escorted her home before doing the same himself, calling in the gentlemanly thing to do. Upon walking, they noticed both Iida, Ochaco and Shinso waiting on a corner for them. With friendly waves they approached, Iida greeted them with a smile.
"Ah! Good to see you both bright and early!"
"Too early. Don't we still have an hour before classes start?" Shinso complained, taking a sip from a thermos. The smell implying coffee.
"Yeah Iida. I'm all for being on time, but this seems to be overkill," Ochaco agreed, taking a sip from her own thermos. The smell implies very cheap coffee.
"There is nothing wrong with being a good student and good students are on time," Both Iida and Momo said at the same time, looking at each other slightly bewildered.
After a beat everyone shared a laugh at the Somei students' similarities.
"Well like as it's been said, good students are on time," Iida reinforced while looking at his watch before speeding ahead of the group, "And I've never been late before!"
The teens began moving towards their school, good spirits among them with the lighthearted greetings of the day. It lasted for a while, until they got close to the front gates of the school. What awaited there was the greatest source of villainy and scum on the planet.
Reporters and journalists for their media both private and government sponsored.
"Look! There's some students!"
Within moments the teens were set upon by the mob, questions and cameras in their faces stunning them slightly.
"Rumors have it that All Might himself is teaching here, is this true?"
"What's it like training under the Symbol of Peace?"
"Is it true he is taking less patrols to teach? What will happen when villains find out?"
"Can he make a lesson plan?"
The barrage of questions assaulted the group of teens, however two of them were quick to recover. Momo and Iida stood tall against the barrage and shielded their compatriots. With steely gazes they approached the camera and microphones.
"All Might is truly an inspiration! I am truly honored to be his student!" Iida answered, his rigid but enthusiastic approach at the forefront.
"All Might is guiding us in the right direction, we students have been given a great privilege this year." Momo said, her air of professionalism guiding her answers.
Thinking they satisfied the media mob, the teens began to push through. However the firestorm wasn't going to make it that easy. They pushed back with physical force and more questions. Realization dawned about some of the kids as the reporters got better looks in.
"You're Momo Yaoyorozu! Can you give us an insight to the next Yao-Expo?"
"Mr. Iida! How is your brother's work with the Mutants Charity going? Is it true most of his sidekicks were once dangerous villains?"
"You're that green haired kid from the Sludge attack. Is it true you hospitalized your teacher when your quirk awakened?"
"Did you save that boy or did your monstrous half want revenge against that sludge guy?"
"Can you explain your actions from the incident years ago? Is your quirk safe?"
Izuku began to breathe heavily, the insensitive questions getting to him. He could feel Hulk getting tired too and worked up just as much as him.
'Smash stupid cameras. Smash stupid reporters. Being mean to friends.'
'No. No matter how much I want to.'
Momo noticed his clenching hand and tried to comfort him. It worked slightly, but the flashing camera and mics in his face weren't helping. Shinso noticed too and let out a grumble mixed with a sigh.
'It'll be illegal quirk usage, but dammit these guys need to back off.'
As step forward to speak, his mentor all of a sudden appeared before them, standing between the teens and the press.
"Please leave my students alone and leave school grounds immediately."
At that word, Present Mic and Toga began to push the others towards and past the gate. The press tried to hound them more, but Aizawa and Mic kept the line.
They breathed a sigh of relief as they went about their route.
"Thanks for the save Himiko," Shinso said
"Don't mention it, Shinny. We gotta look out for each other," She said, giving a smile and a thumbs up. The motion giving the pep back to the group.
There was a slight jump when they heard slamming behind them. Upon observation, they noticed a solid steel gate blocking the entrance.
"The U.A. Barrier doing its job! As expected!" Iida commended, earning some agreements from the group.
Momo and Izuku hung back, the former hoping to see what the latter was doing after that barrage.
"You okay?"
"Yeah. Thank god for Mr. Aizawa."
After some more calming breaths and walking a bit, Izuku turned to his partner and smiled.
"You handled yourself well."
"Thank you. My mother often has to deal with the press for the company, so she taught me a thing or two."
"Now that you mention it, I've never seen your father in front of a camera. Well except for Yao-Expo," Izuku observed.
Momo got a bit embarrassed as she looked away, "My father is a genius in the shop, not so much with people. He can hardly ever stick to a script."
They shared a bit of a laugh at her fathers odd behaviour. While laughing she let out a small yawn. It was then Izuku noticed she looked a little tired.
"Late night? That's not like you unless you read certain novels," the boy teased.
Momo let out a small giggle, "Well…"
It was getting late as Momo made her way into the mansion, the meal she just shared with her boyfriend giving her a pep in her step. She thought of the conversation they had, especially about the supermove she pulled out to win.
'That pulse. If I could find a way to make it a consistent attack.'
Now that she was home she knew the person to ask. With purpose she made her way to the development studio. That was the palace where she could find the one who could help solve her problem. Upon finding the door she imputed the code and silently prayed it would not explode as it was prone to do when her father worked late.
Luck was on her side as she entered without a hitch and found her father hunched over his work bench fiddling with something.
"Hello father," she greeted, clearing her throat to get his attention.
It worked as her father looked back and smiled as he took off his goggles to observe his daughter.
"Hey, Momo! How was class?" he asked before turning back to the invention he was fiddling with.
"It was fine, though I was hoping you could help me with something pertaining to my hero costume."
"Sure. Let me just put the finishing touches on this gift for your mom."
Momo observed the device. It seemed to be a small wristwatch device that had a glowing blue center where the watch would be. If anything it reminded her of the mini arc reactors she built. While continuing to fiddle with it, he explained what it was.
"Personal shield watch for your mom. Also trying to perfect invisibility so she can escape overachieving press members. Also it can tell time."
"Amazing," she said in awe, a small part of her wanting to make one for her gauntlets too.
"Anyway, what can I do for you?"
She explained her fight and her worries with the current state her armor pieces were at. He listened with attention, proud of her thinking and eager to help.
"The chest piece with the reactor, do you have it now?"
"Unfortunatly it has to stay at U.A. for the time being."
"Well we'll make do here. If we can perfect an attack like that as well as the mini reactor you can get ahead of the curb."
"I've been trying to keep the same one. The chest piece recharges it when it's not in use. I know I can create one whenever I like, but I don't want to waste lipids."
"That's my girl. Never throw away what can be improved," he said, patting her head as he turned to his holo screens. Activating them he had her chest piece blue prints front and center. "As for your injury."
"I was careless and Toga is quite skilled."
"Right. Ever consider full body armor?"
"I have, but my quirk makes it difficult."
She then produced a notebook showing a page that had a well drawn suit on it. It was obviously for a female of her measurements. She clearly had input, but he knew the artist.
"So your boy-toys' an artist?"
She blushed and nodded. She saw him produce a pencil and start adding his own touches. She took it back and saw various panels added as well as a hotrod red and gold color scheme.
"Father this is…"
"It won't be anything until we get that arc reactor working. A suit like this at your current level could only be powered for an hour at the most. But first your chestpiece attack must come first."
Determined she stepped forward and sat by her father, the pair eager to solve their power problem.
Izuku gave a warm smile at the story.
"You've got a good dad."
"Yeah. The best. Though sometimes he could be irresponsible."
Miss. Yaoyorozu was a punctual woman. When dates and times needed to be met she made sure it was met. It was a practice she made sure Momo followed. So when her daughter was late for breakfast she made a point to find out why. Though she already knew the answer. With purpose and some tired rage she made her way to the workshop and opened the door and sweatdropped at the sight she found.
"Okay chest beam test number 25. Ready baby girl?" her husband said, at his desk with readouts and several blast shields ready.
"Ready father!" Momo confirmed, wearing some padding though she still had some bruises. She also had a wire like facsimile of her chestpiece with a pseudo reactor hooked up to their own private power station. She also had a scouter on to help with readouts and control.
'Explains the lights flickering all night.'
At her word he threw the switch and the sound of the reactor powering up was heard. Momo focused as best she could, aiming at a small target. Some blast marks littered multiple parts of the ground target and ceiling. The sound continued as the father and daughter braced themselves. Then with a pulse of energy, a small beam shot forward and made contact with the target. The blue energy was incredible as the beam burned the target after a couple of seconds it fizzled out and the father and daughter let out relieved sighs.
"How's it holding up?"
"Excellent father! That was the longest we managed without it exploding!"
"I think if we-"
*Ahem*
Both of the nerds, excited with their breakthrough, looked towards the clearing throat and found the stern Yaoyorozu matron looking at the two with a stern look. Guilty, the patron looked at his desk computer and Momo checked her phone. They shared a sheepish expression when they saw the time. With a nervous laugh, he turned to his wife.
"Lets face it, you've caught me doing worse."
The couple shared a laugh as they seated themselves in the homeroom. Izuku looked at his girlfriend amused, feeling more kinship with her.
"Reminds me of the time my mom found me asleep at my desk with my notebooks."
'Nerd…'
Momo blushed in return, "Well, it seems like we are indeed birds of a feather."
They talked about other things, such as how the rest of their morning went and what could be on the agenda today. Their voices joining the random mish mosh of voices permeated any classroom. Soon the door opened and in step Mr. Aizawa, a fruit pouch in hand and an annoyed look in his eye as he took to his desk. Within moments the class noticed and was silent, earning a nod of approval from him.
"Good. You're getting better at quieting down. Now on to business."
The class tensed at the lesson plan someone like him could prepare.
"You need to pick a class representative."
'Just a normal school activity.' the class collectively thought, relieved.
"Sir! How shall we go about deciding?" Iida questioned.
"Figure it out by the end of the homeroom and don't wake me," he ordered while zipping up his sleeping bag.
At once the class erupted, everyone seemed to want the privilege of class representative. It was really quite astounding how many wanted the burden of responsibility.
"A lot of people want the rep job huh?" Ochaco observed
"Well yes. Think about it, you can show leadership and people skills. Traits important for hero work," Momo eloquently stated.
'Sound boring. Hulk just want to smash.'
'Don't want to lead your own team? Like an agent of smash or anything?'
'Hmmm. tempting…'
The cacophony of voices was getting a bit too rambunctious, some threw out promises of leadership if selected.
"We'll be the maniliest class!" Kirishima flexed
"I'll make sure our class has the coolest tunes," Jiro cooley stated
"Short skirts for all girls!" Mineta yelled, before being slapped down by Tsu flexible tougne.
"I'll create a friendly environment ripe for romance and plenty of dancing!" Mina cheered.
"You idiots would be dumb to not select me to lead!" Bakugo roared out, feet on desk cocky as ever.
"Everyone! This is getting us nowhere! The only way to settle this is by voting!" Iida commanded.
The class cooled off at the suggestion.
"Seems fair," Shoji stated.
"Is it? Most of us only knew each other for several days. Hardly time to form any form of trust," Tsuyu stated.
"Yeah and wouldn't everyone just vote for themselves?" Kaminari questioned
"True, but think about it. Anyone who got more votes made an impact and really earned it. It is the logical choice," Iida surmised.
Everyone murmured in agreement and paper was produced. They agreed to a five minute vote allowing time to think. Izuku pondered.
'Well there is only one good choice.'
'Yeah. She do well.'
Casting his vote, Iida and Momo decided to be the ones to keep count. Keeping track on the board the winner was revealed. The results were surprising to say the least.
Izuku Midoriya: 4 votes
Momo Yaoyorozu: 3 votes
"How'd I get four votes!?" the winner exclaimed.
"All right, who voted for him?" Bakugo yelled, slamming a palm explosion on his desk in both anger and as a threat.
Ochaco and Momo both looked away, avoiding his angry gaze. Momo then noticed Iida frustrated, but trying to hide it. Terribly.
"Zero votes?" he grunted, a bit sad and angry.
Shinso and Ochaco gave pitying looks and offered condolences as the two winners stood at the front to address the masses. Momo noticed her boyfriend's nervousness and stepped forward, clasping his hand.
"Thank you. We will both try our best."
'Agents of Smash has nice ring to it…'
It was lunch time and Izuku and his group sat down, meals both from home and made by the famous hero, Lunch Rush, before them. A fact Izuku was still vibrating in excitement about. In fact, while research of U.A. meant he saw this coming, he was still in disbelief at the heroic staff of the school. Even more that they were training him and his friends of all people.
English with Present Mic. Modern Literature with Cementoss. Upcoming Modern Hero Art History with Midnight. All topped off with Heroics with the Number One hero!
He could hardly contain his excitement. Though he was still nervous about his appointment as a class representative today. Momo took note and placed a hand on his shoulder in comfort.
"Still worried about the class rep position?"
"Yeah. A little…"
"Don't be," Iida comforted, "You have impressive leadership skills. You get your powerful quirk to listen and have an amazing quick thinking intellect. It's why I voted for you."
"Yeah. Same here. Your quirk is awesome. I mean you saved me with him," Ochaco cheered.
"Yeah. You've got a good head for quirks and heroism. Got my vote," Shinso added, taking a drink of some bottled coffee, "Plus we 'villain' quirk users got to stick together."
Izuku chuckled at that while Toga looked down a little guilty.
"Well, I voted for Momo. I mean she's got that leadership quality. If she can make use of Mineta of all people. Though now you bring it up I feel a little guilty not voting for Zuzu."
"No harm done. I voted for Momo too," he admitted, causing a thankful blush from his girlfriend, "She's smart, heroic and well you saw how she could lead."
"Careful there or your girlfriend will become a tomato," Shinso joked.
That got the group to chuckle as the feelings of friendship floated around. Eventually the conversion turned towards the bespectacled teen at the table as Ochaco noted something.
"Y'know Iida you carry yourself similar to YaoMomo."
"I heard you mention you went to the same school, Somei right?" Izuku added, drawing attention from both Toga and Shinso. "So you have to come from somewhere high class. Your name is also familiar, but I keep blanking on where I've heard it before."
Iida blushed as he cleared his throat, "Well, have you heard about the Turbo Hero: Ingenium?"
Both Izuku and Toga lit up at the name.
"He's one of the fastest heroes around! While not high in the rankings his hero work and team are impressive and efficient!" Izuku beamed.
"He is also one of the kindest and friendliest heroes! Most of his sidekicks are reformed criminals and he does a ton of community outreach for those suffering from quirkism!" Toga added with her own excitement, much to the group's joy.
"Well, he's my elder brother!" Iida announced.
Izuku and Toga were ecstatic, borderline speechless. They then looked at Iida with starstruck eyes.
"Please introduce us!/ Can he sign my note book?"
'Heh. Someone nerdy as you…'
Momo and Shinso calmed them down as Iida pushed his glasses up humbly, "I'll see what I can do. My brother would be delighted I'm sure, knowing he has inspired fans."
Before the duo could process the generous request, a blaring alarm sounded across the lunch room. Conversations amongst other years ceased as its blaring sounded, red lights flashed all across the room. Iida noticed an upperclassman and got his attention.
""What is that?"
"Its the U.A. Alarm! It means someone's infiltrated the barrier. We're supposed to report to our classrooms in an orderly fashion, though this is the first time for many of us!" he ordered.
"We best be off!" Momo commented as the group nodded and began to evacuate.
The problems arose when they joined the evacuation. It was anything but orderly. Students pushed and pulled, panic was in motion as they raced for the door at the end of the narrow hall. Izuku and Momo kept their hands interlocked to prevent them from being separated, but it was challenging.
"Stay calm we got this!" Momo encouraged her partner and their friends.
In an instant, the tight squeeze caused the lovers to be forced together. Blushes sprang forth as hard male muscle and delicate female curves met. After a moment and some not too unpleasant movement they found space to separate, though still together shoulder to shoulder.
"S-Sorry," Izuku said, looking away.
"I-It's fine," she stammered back, "Though it did feel-"
"-Nice?"
At that their eyes met for a moment, blushes cooling off. It looked like they would go for a kiss right there, until they were interrupted.
"Hey, lovebirds, hate to ruin the moment but I'm being crushed!"
They turned and saw they had caused a jam and poor Shinso was being crushed between them by the panicked students.
"Sorry/Apologies!"
The troubles continued as their jam had caused the hall to become packed with the students like sardines. Iida was pressed against the window when he noticed something outside.
It was the press from earlier in the day. They had formed their own massive group, carefully exploring the U.A. grounds, trying to find All Might for some exclusives. Trying to turn he tried to tell the crowd of students.
"It's just the press everyone! Calm down!"
However, the bespectacled teen's voice was drowned out by the panic, alarms and stampeding footfalls. He then noticed Toga slithering through the crowd gracefully. She noticed the pancaked boy and assisted him out of his predicament.
"Nice moves Toga," he commented
"I've moved through crowds before. What's up?"
"I've figured out what caused the alarm, but the panic is too great for me to inform our constituents."
Toga thought before giving a cheeky smile, "Leave it to me."
Moving through the crowd like a fish gracefully through water, the girl found her other friends still struggling in the jam they made.
"Hey, Iida has a plan to calm everyone down, but he needs some help."
"I could make him float,' Ochaco offered
"You need to touch him for that to work though," Shinso pointed out.
"Can you get people calm, Shinny?"
"Unfortunetly no. Too many people."
"Perhaps I could make a bullhorn?" Momo offered.
"It could work, but I don't think I could get back to Iida with it."
Izuku thought and moved forward with a serious expression, "Stand back everyone."
Giving the boy enough room. Izuku's eyes glowed green as the anger flowed. In moments the Hulk stood in the hall, the U.A. uniform clung tightly to his muscled frame.
"QUEIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT!"
That got the attention of the panicking students as they looked at the raging green behemoth. He pointed towards the windows where Iida was now free.
"Glasses Boy want to speak."
The crowd then turned to Iida.
"Remain calm! It's just the press! We are U.A. students and future heroes! Let us act like it!"
Upon his orders the crowd slammed and made an orderly march to their classrooms. Iida rejoined his friends, all of whom gave grins and nods of approval. Not one to be a hypocrite, they too made an orderly trudge to their class to begin the end of their day.
Back in class, Izuku and Momo stood at the front. An emergency meeting had been called by the representative and he had the students' attention, especially after the incident during lunch and what they had done. Izuku had something to say and something to change.
"I've given it some thought and if it is okay with everyone here I think Iida should be representative."
There were murmurs around the class, most in agreement.
"Seems you all agree. Iida?"
The orderly boy stood, a serious and conflicted look on his face.
"I am sorry, but that would be unfair to Yaoyorozu. I formally decline."
Momo let out a flash of inspiration, knowing her boyfriend had doubts of leadership and knew that his faith in Iida wasn't unfounded stepped forward with her idea.
"How about this? Izuku can step down and I will take his place while you become my vice representative."
That got agreeing murmurs continued and iida stood once more, smiling at that suggestion.
"In that case, I humbly accept!"
There were cheers and applause from most of the class as the two returned to their seats, the business done. Soon it was the end of the day and the future heroes made their way home.
Up at U.A.'s front gates Principal Nedzu, Aizawa and Power Loader, the Support Course teacher and expert, looked upon a gruesome and concerning site. When a breach happens it is only natural to find the weak spot. In this case that was hard to miss.
Now it's no secret about the U.A. Barrier. A nigh impenetrable wall of steel that could stop a strike from even All Might himself. Which is why when they found said defensive shield with a large hole surrounded by rust and dust particles, the staff gathered were on high alert.
"This is concerning," The principal said grimly.
Power Loader had the security cameras pulled up on his tablet, tapping between multiple angles looking for the person who could have done this. "Hm. Can't get an angle with all the press in the way. Whoever did this knows a thing or two about evading notice."
"So the real question is should we tell anyone about this breach?" Aizawa questioned, looking at the small animal.
"Lets keep it in house for now, pending our own investigation. Remind me what was stolen."
"Just some class schedules. The perpetrator probably took advantage of the panic and the security breach in order to get them."
"We shall tighten security on class field trips then. Three hero teams," the mouse-bear then turned to Power Loader, " and contact Mr.Yaoyorozu. I wish to evaluate our security system in light of this incident."
With nods from his subordinates, they went to do as ordered. The creature bent down to observe the rusted rubble. Picking up a piece it crumpled into nothing but dust in the wind, earning a grim look from U.A.'s principal.
"Most concerning," he mumbled grimly.
Across the country about two prefects over, a dark portal opened in a dingy bar. Out stepped a teenager, a little older than those at U.A. He was thin with dry grey skin wrapped up in dark sweats. Pulling back his hood light blue hair that was as dry as the aforementioned skin flowed out as his red eyes scanned the schedule he pilfered. Scratching his neck, the dark portal formed a yellowed eyed black mist-man in a suit vest which stood at the bar.
"So, Young Master, was the mission a success?" it asked.
Grumbling, the teen reached into his pocket and put what seemed to be a human hand on his face, leaving only a piercing red eye observing his bartender.
"It went well. The idiotic media played their part."
"Then I assume you are ready to proceed."
Looking darkly at the next hero class on the schedule, the teen laughed a sickly raspy sound as he hatefully looked at All Might's name. The edges of the paper began to flake and decay as he quickly removed a finger.
"Yes. I think it's about time they see how abominable the society he created is."
