Chapter 258 - 12

Within a new practice building, as the last one was deemed too damaged to continue to use, the new villain team of Shinso and Hagakure observed the weapon and room they were charged with defending. After a moment, Hagakure spoke.

"So how do you want to play this?"

It was clear a lack of knowledge of her partner's quirk at the moment. So it was only natural she would let him take the lead. Shinso retreated into his scarf and thought. With a tired sigh he answered.

"Your quirks good for reconnaissance , so patrol the halls and let me know when they're coming. Leave the weapon to me."

"Okay!"

Hagakure went to remove her gloves and boots as Shinso blushed and turned away. The action earned a giggle from his partner, causing his blush to deepen.

"Such a gentleman. Maybe you're not all bad like you pretend to be."

She had finished and made her way to the door as Shinso straightened himself out with a sigh. He looked in the direction of the open door and reminded her of the plan.

"Remeber to tell me when they're on the way."

"You got it, partner! But I haven't left yet."

Shinso let out another sigh with a blush, somehow retreated further into his scarf cocoon. Hagakure let out another giggle as her footsteps signaled her leaving. Her counterpart couldn't stop a small smile gracing his features.

'Time to show what we can do, Toga.'

Meanwhile, outside the building, Shoto and Shoji were preparing for the match ahead themselves. An uncomfortable silence between the two boys, a byproduct of one of few words and one who refused to share any. Before Shoji could make the first phrase, the start alarm blared and their teacher's voice came through.

"Begin!"

Shoji stood and activated his quirk, Dupli-Arms. Ears and eyes appeared at the ends of his webbed arms. Closing his eyes on his face, the tall masked boy focused. He could hear the faintest footsteps patrolling as well as one pacing.

"One's patrolling the halls. Based on footsteps it's likely Hagakure. That means Shinso is likely protecting the weapon."

He felt a chill as Shoto stepped by and sighed, his breath visible as his quirk activated.

"Thanks. Leave the rest to me."

The two-toned boy reached out and touched the outside of the building. Within seconds the building was covered in a thick layer of ice. The foundation creaked and crinkled as it settled.

Shoji looked on, stunned at the display of power. He looked to the boy, who did not even turn to look back, as he began to approach the frozen base.

"I'll get the weapon. You wait here."

All Shoji could do was nod, his trust in his teammate. Especially after a display of that magnitude.

Shoto walked through the halls, his guard down as his boot crunched along the icy path he had made. Part of him was thankful he included cleats in his costume. He heard a shiver and looked over to its source. While he could not see anyone there, the frozen footprint marks and a shivering female voice told him the Hagakure would no longer be a problem. With a cold sigh, he made his way to the weapon room.

Upon entry he saw his other opponent. The purple haired boy looked up and tried to move his legs from their frozen place. Shoto simply turned and started to make his way towards the weapon, his victory all but assured.

However, a short laugh from the purple haired boy stopped him for a second.

"Impressive. That's some quirk you got there."

Shoto was set to ignore him and take the round, though the tone of his opponent's voice felt off to him. It was still tired, but there was a mocking sound to it.

"Froze the whole building and those inside, you were practically born to be a hero."

Shoto's breathing got a little heavy at that line. Though in his growing anger, the icy boy missed the growing smile.

'Touched a nerve. Remember, research and planning can close any power gap. Time to bring it home,' the purple haired boy thought. Seems his training with his own personal hero had paid off.

"I'd expect nothing less from the son of Endeavour. Though maybe a little fire. What, are we not good enough for everything you got?"

Ice forming along his right side in anger, the scarred boy turned to finally address his opponent. His rage caused the room to get even colder.

"You-"

'Got ya.'

Back in the observation room, the rest of the class watched the match. They were at the point when Shoto had entered the room and Shinso had begun his taunts. They were watching closely, though some thought the match was already over.

"Man, that Shoto's really strong!" Sero observed.

"Glad it wasn't me. Can you imagine what that cold could do to my beautiful cape?" Aoyama questioned dramatically.

"Hagakure and Shinso barely stood a chance," Tsu bluntly put.

"Shouldn't you call the match All Might, sir?" Iida suggested, his thoughts matching a majority of the classes.

Before All Might could answer, an excited laugh from Toga cut him off and silenced the room.

"Just you wait. Shinny's about to play."

Izuku became enraptured by that statement and leaned forward to watch the match more closely. They were now at the point where Shinso's taunts had just reached the dual colored hair boy. The results of the aftermath were shocking to the attentive class.

On the screen, they watch bewildered as Shoto freed Shinso from his icy bonds. After a momentary stretch, the two boys left the weapon room. Though those watching closely could see that the scarred boy was moving slower, almost zombie-like, behind the purple haired boy.

"What is Shoto doing?!" Kaminari exclaimed, putting forth the question on the class's mind. All while Toga couldn't contain her giggling. All Might let out a laugh of his own.

Meanwhile, Izuku watched closely as Momo crossed her arms. Both were in deep thought. It was the next moment when the lightbulb went off in his quirk obsessed brain.

The duo had made it to Hagakure, the poor girl still shivering in the cold. In the footage, Shinso turned and spoke to Shoto while pointing at his partner. Shoto then lumbered forward and his left hand glowed slightly as Hagakure was freed from her cold bonds. Shinso checked on her and even offered his jacket, which the girl readily accepted.

"A mind control quirk!" the green haired boy exclaimed.

"Yes. That is what it seems like," Momo concurred after giving it some thought.

"Wow! You weren't lying Greenie!" Toga congratulated before turning back to the screen, "Yeah Shinny's quirk lets him control people. Once he's got you in his trap it's hard to get out on your own!"

Izuku could barely contain his excitement at this new information, his mind teeming with questions for Shinso after everything was said and done. Speaking of which…

Shoji waited outside for his teammate to clench the win. While he was confident in Shoto's confidence and abilities, he couldn't help but think he should have gone with him. Right now he was meditating to himself, something he did while nervous.

'It should be fine. Shoto's got this.'

Just as he thought that, his enhanced hearing brought something to his attention. He turned and saw his partner slowly approaching him. Lowering his guard slightly, he addressed the boy.

"Shoto. Did you secure the weapon? What's going on?"

Before the boy could react he found himself completely encased in ice up to his neck. Eyes wide at this sudden betrayal, he struggled to move before spotting Shinso walking up as well.

"Great job. Now wrap this around your wrist," the tired boy commanded

Shoto did what he was told and then an alarm blared as All Might's voice came through their earpieces. The result caused Shoto to snap out of his trance.

"Wha-"

"The Villain Team wins! Report back to observation."

Shoto just looked around confused as Shinso freed him from his bonds. He looked at the boy, his thoughts jumbled.

'Wasn't I just about to win? What happened?'

"What did you do to me?"

"You're a smart kid, Shoto. I'm sure you'll figure it out," Shinso said with a trolling grin.

Letting out an icy sigh the cold boy unfroze his partner and the teams made their way back to observation.

The teams walked into the class, All Might once again in front of the monitors showing the match that had just played out. With a mighty laugh he began the post match breakdown.

"Now I speak for everyone when we agree that the MVP of this match was young Shinso! Any explanations?"

At that Toga raised her hand alongside Izuku. All Might motioned to the former, wanting to hear the girl's explanation.

"The other team underestimated their opponents and Shinny took advantage of that. He also planned ahead and knew how to strike his targets' weak spots. All it took was one moment and he won it," she said with a cat-like smile, excitement at her friend's victory evident in her explanation. It caused him to blush and hide in his scarf a little bit.

"Well said Young Toga! Let it be known: Never underestimate your opponent and always be ready for anything!"

The class nodded at the good if not generic advice. Soon The Symbol of Peace drew the next two teams to fight.

Team J vs Team H

The two teams, made up from Kirishima and Sero vs Tokoyami and Tsu respectively, began to make their way to the battle zone. Shinso approached Toga and sat by her, taking a moment to note Izuku and Momo's presence with them before sitting. As they waited, the nerdy boy turned to the tired one, questions and notebook at the ready.

"So, your Quirk is some form of mind control right?"

"Yeah," the boy said, there was apprehension in his answer. Though he missed Toga's gleeful expression.

"That's so cool!"

Shinso sweatdropped as he looked at Izuku in surprise. The pause allowed Izuku to keep fanboying about the new quirk he was learning about.

"How does it work? What can you make people do? Is there a range to the actions you can have them perform? How many people can you control at once? How much do they remember? How much of their quirk can they-"

'At least let purple-hair answer one…'

A squeeze from Momo also brought him out. He took a moment of thanks to his friends both inner and outer for looking out for him. He scratched the back of his head embarrassed. It was then he noticed the surprise look in his classmates eyes. A look he questioned.

"You're not scared of my quirk? You don't think I'm some sort of villain in the making?"

Izuku let out a sad laugh before taking in a deep sigh.

"Well…My quirk turns me into the a raging green muscle head-"

'Guilty…'

"-so I'm not one to judge. Also it's like All Might said: "There are no villain quirks."

"Yeah Shinny. Remember, we're gonna be heroes together and prove the haters wrong!" the cat-like girl said with determination.

"Heh. Right…"

"Speaking of Toga, I'm excited to see your quirk in action," Izuku exclaimed

"I'm intrigued as well," Momo concurred

At those statements Toga blushed, but gave a happy and confident grin.

"I'll try not to disappoint."

Soon they shifted back to questions about Shinso's power, but Izuku had his theories on what Toga's was. A dark part knowing she considered villains at her agreement at All Might's speech and what she said during her intro.

"Yes it is Mind Control. So far I can tell people simple tasks, including using their quirks if need be."

"How do you activate or break it? And does the type of quirk matter?"

"Well…I'm not gonna reveal all my tricks yet. But I'm sure you'll get it Midoriya."

The group of friends shared smiles and laughs as they chewed the fat and got along well. Toga meanwhile looked at her training partner and let out a happy sigh.

'And he said he wasn't here to make friends. Too bad Shinny.'

All Might cleared his throat, stopping conversations and getting the majority of the class's attention. Turning on the screens, he let his showmanship skills come through as he began the next match.

"All right newbies! Let's get on to the next match! Let's see what our next future heroes got!"

The next two matches went drastically different from each other. One highlighting surprising intuition with hero work and the other inexperience of the students.

The first one featured Tsu and Tokoyami taking on the team of Kirishima and Sero. Tsu impressed both the teacher and class with her fluid movements and tactical know-how, looking at doors through odd angles and quick scans of rooms. When the action started by Kirishima loudly knocking down a wall, saying something akin to it being un-manly to wait and hide, Tsu and Tokoyami quickly hatched a plan. The bird boy held off the hardened brawler with his own monstrous other half while Tsu went off to find the weapon. Sparks flew and the class was in awe of the strength of Dark Shadow and Kirishima's resilience, even Hulk was silently impressed. Tsu found Sero guarding the weapon. However, no matter how many times the boy tried to catch him with sticky tape the frog girl's movements and comfort in her body proved to be too great and she secured the weapon. Suffice to say the Tsu humbly earned the MVP status that round.

The second match was not as elegant as this one and reminded the teacher and students that they were still teens and had some hurdles of inexperience to get over. It was Mina and Aoyama as the villains and Jiro and Kaminari as the heroes. Jiro started them off well, using Earphone Jack to check ahead and scout the area. Before long the duo found the weapon and its defenders in one of the center middle rooms. There was some sloppy coordination on the villain team, but Mina and Aoyama went on the offensive. Mina slid around on the floor, using Acid and her dance experience to out maneuver her opponents, while Aoyama kept them corralled with his Naval Laser. Both hit or nearly hit each other, Mina got some acid on his cape while Aoyama nearly knocked Mina down with his laser. Despite that their plan worked and the heroes found themselves surrounded by acid too corrosive to cross. While the villain team was confident in victory they missed their confidence on Kaminari's face. With a cocky laugh and a call out, he let loose a massive storm of electricity, though in his excitement he ignored the concern his partner had for the acid surrounding the pair. Her concern would be validated as the corrosive acid conducted the electricity and shocked the heroes instead of the intended targets, knocking them out and thus securing the win unexpectedly for the villain team. Though she was on the loser's, Jiro's forward thinking and recon earned her the MVP status, though that did little for the stink eye she was giving her partner.

With class nearing its end it was time for the last match, a moment of realization crossing Momo and Toga as the team names were called.

Team C vs Team F

Momo and Toga steeled themselves as they stood, the former reapplying her eyepiece in her preparations. Izuku gave her hand a squeeze for good luck while Iida and Ochaco offered their own cheers of support while Shinso offered a nod to Toga. Soon they found their respective partners and made their way to the battlezone. The members of this budding friend group were excited to see what this match could bring.

Momo observed the weapon protection room with her minuscule companion as she did all things in her life, efficiently and curiously. Already her mind was brimming with ideas for defense, even if she didn't know what one of her opponents' quirks did. Turning to address her partner, she caught him staring at her features before he caught himself and looked away innocently.

She sighed at this. While she was used to people looking at her for her body first, having a boyfriend who found her not just beautiful skin deep made her old feelings for pervs like this resurface. Steadying herself with another sigh, she addressed the midget professionally.

"Now, Mineta, can you explain your quirk once more."

Mineta lit up at that and with a cocky smile removed a ball from his head.

"It's called Pop Off. I can take these orbs off my head and stick them to anything," to show he stuck it on a nearby wall, "meanwhile I just bounce right off them. Pretty cool right?"

He paled when he noticed his partner was ignoring him and looking more intently at the demonstration he showed. A confident smile came to her as she came up with a plan of attack.

"All right, Mineta. I have a plan and I need your balls to do it," she said with confidence, missing the phrasing of her words.

Mineta meanwhile looked as though the light of Heaven was shining upon him. Wiping blood from his nose he gave a thumbs up.

"Alright!"

Outside, Toga and Koda were preparing for the match as well. Toga gave her hero suit a once over, making sure her various needles and knives were in place and ready. She looked to Koda, who was hunched over whispering to something.

Yellow eyes filled with curiosity, she snuck up and looked over. In the rock headed boy's hands were a bird and a rat. She gave them a smile, but when they noticed her they seemed to freeze in fear, as if a predator was looking at them. Koda noticed and calmed them, giving a sorry look to the sad Toga. a look that gave her a thankful smile.

"So, you talk and control them?"

The shy boy nodded.

"So you've got the recon. So that leaves me with combat if that's okay."

He gave another nod in agreement with the plan.

"The real challenge is Momo. She's a real smartie."

He gave an agreeing look once more. Though he didn't miss a glint in her eyes. It gave him some confidence, even if it was a bit terrifying.

"Luckily I've got tricks of my own,~ " the girl said, looking at her reflection in her knife.

The alarm rang out, signaling the start of the match. With a twirl she sheathed her current knife and set her mask as some birds and rats stood by Koda. With confidence the heroes entered the building.

Mineta grumbled as he roamed the halls, a bag of his balls with small cameras attached. Momo had given him the task of setting up a perimeter of cameras to track the other team, using his balls to mount them at odd angles. He stuck them as he grumbled along. Half of him was grateful to be working and talking to such a beautiful girl while the other half hated how he wasn't with said beautiful girl and doing grunt work.

'Still, if I do this well and we win, maybe she'll give me a reward,' The short pervert thought, his mind awash with possibilities that'll never happen in a million years.

As he was setting camera balls on the walls, some skittering drew his attention. Investigating, the short boy saw a small rat which upon seeing him skittered away. Shrugging, he put the last camera up and radioed his partner.

"I'm done."

"Good. Turning them on now."

As Mineta rocked on his heels, waiting for orders from his queen and hearing a good job done. However, that was not the case when she radioed back.

"Some of the cameras are down!"

"What!?"

"Over in the east hall, nearest to the entrance."

Mineta looked in that direction when a thought came to him.

"I saw a rat over there."

"A rat?! Get out of there now and come back to the main room."

"Why? It's just some rats. What afraid your partner is gonna need to get a shot?"

"No, Were you not paying attention in class?! It's Koda's Quirk! Get back here now!"

Mineta paled as he recalled a faint memory of that. To be honest he only noticed and remembered the girl's quirks and cursed his loving heart. Returning to where he saw the rat the boy turned the corner.

There was a massive army of at least a hundred rats looking towards him with Koda at its center. With a friendly smile Koda pointed at his opponent and the rats were off to capture the grape headed boy. Said grape headed boy ran with all the might his short legs would allow, blubbering in fright as the mass of rats chased him. In a panic he threw some balls haphazardly, nailing some of the critters, but not enough to deter the swarm.

Eventually, after turning several corners, Mineta found a place to hide and catch his breath. Breathing heavily, he checked around making sure he was safe. He ducked back when he saw some rats skitter by but did not notice him. With a sigh of relief he slumped against the wall. Turning he was met with yellow eyes staring into his soul.

"Who are we hiding from?~"

He turned and noticed Toga and in that instant she pounced.

Back in observation the class watched intently as Mineta committed his act of bravery against the rats. Some people shivered, feeling his panic when it came to the rodents.

"Didn't know U.A. had a rat problem," Hagakure shivered.

"Principle Nedzu actually has a sanctuary for former lab rats and the like. Rescues them from illegal experimentation sites," All Might explained

Everyone nodded in agreement with that, the principle's own past known to the students. Eventually they saw Mineta's hiding and capture from Toga.

"Nice takedown," Sero commented

"Yeah. She's like a horror-movie character with that jumpscare," Jiro noted.

"Toga would love to hear that. She always drags me to those," Shinso said fondly.

Izuku meanwhile was scribbling in his notebook, his hand moving a mile a minute with all the quirks he was seeing on display.

'Had he not panicked and used his quirk the rats would not be an issue.'

'Heh. Grape boy deserve it. Not like him…'

Chuckling in some agreement, the green haired boy's attention returned to the screen. Toga had just finished tying the capture tape around the midget. Though he was still scared, there was a hint of joy as he was being tied up. Then they saw the hero team conversing with their hostage. After a hesitant nod from Mineta, Toga knelt before him. The cameras provided no angle, but what happened next sent shocked looks across the class.

"Whoa!" Hagakure and a few other students exclaimed.

"Huh?" Kaminari and the last few questioned.

"Cool," Jiro said.

Shinso had a satisfied look on his face. He looked to Midoriya and noticed he was almost in a trance-like state as he scribbled like a man possessed, but he could just make out a single word of praise.

"Amazing!"

Momo kept checking her cameras as she tried over and over to get in touch with Mineta. With him silent and more cameras going down, she sighed in exertion.

'Looks like I'm on my own. I've still got a way to even the odds if need be.'

Just then motion sensors on her visor lit up. Something was approaching and fast. She powered up a gauntlet and aimed at the doorway, ready to blast whomever was coming around the corner. Only to hold her fire when it was revealed to be Mineta.

The boy scurried around the corner and slumped against the wall, breathing out of both relief and recovery as he gave a relieved smile to his partner. Meeting her gaze, he started to ramble in a coherent panic.

"Yaoyorozu! Thank goodness! Toga and Koda tried to get me when I was setting up cameras! I got away though. Just barely!" The boy reported wiping some tears and sweat off his face before returning to her gaze.

Momo sighed in pity as her gauntlet powered down, "Are you injured?"

"Just some scratches, but I'm okay."

"Good. We need a chance to regroup. Watch the door, I'm gonna check the cameras we have left and see what they're planning."

Mineta gave a nod of approval and a thumbs up as he continued to recover. As Momo turned she missed the devilish smirk Mineta carried. With utmost quiet, the boy stood and began to make his way to the distracted hero. Capture tape was prepared and held tightly in his yellow gloved hands. His footsteps made no sound as he inched closer.

Closer…

Closer…

Clo-

He soon found himself face to face with the glowing blue palm of Momo's gauntlet, the device powering up filling his ears. Her onyx eyes like steel locked on his trembling, but trying to look innocent ones.

"Uh…hey what gives?" he said, slightly worried.

"You're not Mineta."

"What are you talking about… babe? Sure I am."

Holding up her other hand, she began to count her suspicions.

"One: You maintained eye contact during our conversation. Last time we spoke I could catch his eyes drifting. Two: Your footsteps when running on the motion sensor did not match his when he walks. He waddles. You don't. And Third: You sounded unsure when you said 'babe', like you needed to think what he would say. Nice try-"

Momo narrowly dodged two knife strikes and shot off a blast that 'Mineta' dodged. His acrobatic ability just further confirmed who she was facing. She paused in surprise seeing her opponent start to melt. The features of Mineta melted away into gray slug as yellow feline eyes looked at Momo in a mixture of praise and challenge.

"-Toga!"

The goop fell off as Toga took to her full height, still in her costume with a predatory smile on her face. Twirling her knives, she pressed a button behind her stealthy as she got into a combat pose.

"Zuzu wasn't kidding. You're a real smarty, Yaomomo."

"Yaomomo? Zuzu?" Momo questioned, blushing slightly.

"Yeah. Hope you don't mind, but I like to give nicknames to my friends."

"I am honored, but you will not win today."

"We'll see…" the blond said with a snicker.

Momo then saw her motion sensors and cameras light up. Looking through her scouter, she saw a massive horde of rats on their way being led by Koda. Toga's snicker turned to laughter, but the heiress still had tricks of her own. Quickly pressing a button on her gauntlet, her backup plan began. Toga's laughter ceased as she noticed a steel security door drop and lock into place, cutting off the only entry into the room.

"Yeah.. a real smarty…" Toga tsked.

In a moment she charged quickly, too quick for Momo to get a shot off putting her on the backfoot. The knives clanged against the gauntlets as both girls' martial arts skills were on full display. Both girls had similar thoughts running through their heads as they clashed.

'She's got skills!/Such ferocity.'

Needing space, Momo activated her boots and flew back, letting loose some repulsor blast as she did.Toga dodged gracefully ending with an impressive backflip into her combat pose. Momo thought for a moment. A moment which allowed Toga to close the distance and resume her assault.

"None of that," Toga said, "Not giving you time to think."

'Though I can't keep this up. Just need to tire her out and secure the weapon.'

Momo was in a corner. She needed space and Toga's attacks were beginning to take their toll. If she couldn't get distance or take her too closely, it was time for a compromise. Thinking quickly, she reached back into her open back and created a trusty staff. With a loud clang she stopped both of Toga's knives as they were in a momentary pause.

"Bojutsu? Let me guess the best training your parents could buy?"

Momo was a bit shocked by the slight venom in her opponents and possible new friends' voices. Shaking it off she returned to a battle mindset. Pushing Toga off she pointed her staff at her.

"Yes, I have been blessed with help. Tell me, who trained you?"

"The hardest teacher of all-"

With a sudden movement, Toga threw both her knives in quick succession. Almost too fast to react or dodge, but Momo tried. She blocked one with her staff as the other sailed past her head. She turned back to Toga as the girl gave a signature mischievous smile, one that gave Momo pause. It became apparent when pain shot up Momo's calf. Looking down she saw the blade that had sailed past her embedded deep in her open thigh. Toga took the opportunity. Producing two more knives and lunging at Momo. Momo blocked, but due to her compromised leg was forced onto one knee.

"-Life," the blonde said as she started to force Momo down more. "This is over, Yaomomo."

Momo struggled. With her injury it would be nearly impossible to push Toga off with her strength alone. Even with the added boost of strength the gauntlets and boots offered could not last. Her imperfect reactor could only do so much and it was nearing its last legs for the match.

However, there was one thing she still had. Her mind.

'This next attack will make these good for armor, but not much else. I really need to perfect this reactor. I need to get better.'

Toga took on a surprise look as Momo's chest piece began to glow brightly. She knew she had to get away, but she also knew she couldn't let Momo go. Hearing something in her earpiece gave her hope.

'C'mon Koda. I'm counting on you.'

Momo's chest piece continued to glow as a powering up sound could be heard.

'I will get better!'

With a ding, her chest piece finished its preparation. The center glowed brightly as Toga finally made a move to step back, however Momo kept her in place. With a blast of energy a concussive blast fired directly from the center of the chest piece, hitting the blond dead on and sending her flying across the room. She impacted the wall with a crack as the wall itself suffered some fissures from the impact. Toga tried to stand, but the pain of the impact stopped her, forcing her to slump against the wall. Momo meanwhile let out a breath of relief as she fell slightly, the glowing lights of her armor turning off as the last of their power faded.

Silence reigned in both observation and the testing room as the entire class took a moment to process the battle that had ended.

After a moment the tired Toga let out a chuckle and looked to the ceiling. The action confused Momo until she heard the sounds the Toga was hearing. Looking towards the vents, she noticed the cover was shaking. It then burst off as the swarm of rats came into the room. They climbed the security doors and found the panels and began to do their work until the doors failed and the entrance was once again opened. Koda stood waiting, giving his little friends a nod of appreciation. Though his expression was panicked for a second at Toga's state.

"I'm okay. Get the weapon!"

Nodding in determination he began a dash for the weapon. Momo tried to stand, but the knife in her leg kept her down. As well as another knife Toga threw, though Momo blocked this one with an armored hand.

It would seem the match was over. All Koda had to do was touch the weapon. He was mere inches from it when.

"Time's up! Team C Wins!"

Koda and Toga deflated a little as Momo let out a sigh of relief. It wasn't long before Koda offered Momo a hand up, which she accepted. They made their way to Toga who they also helped up. As they got to the door, they were met with All Might and some Med Bots.

"Well done! Excellent planning from both teams and an extremely nail biting finale! You all should be proud!"

The kids smiled, the Symbol of Peace's joyous nature infecting their hearts. He then motioned to the bots next to him.

"Young Toga and Yaoyorozu let these Medi-bots give you a once over then we'll get back to class and evaluate."

The two girls sat as the bots did scans. They removed the knife and bandaged the area before returning it to its owner. Momo noticed for a moment that Toga seemed to be transfixed on the blood on the blade. She caught her gaze and shook off the look before sheathing the knife. The bots then gave positive dings, signifying the students were ready to return to class.

As the teams and class lined up for the final evaluation, Momo and Toga found themselves greeted by their burgeoning friend group.

"That was insane you guys!" Ochaco exclaimed.

"Yes. You both performed admirably," Iida complimented.

The girls smiled at that before turning towards the ravenette's boyfriend, who had the biggest smile on his face and sparkle in his big green eyes.

"You were amazing Momo! Glad to see the gauntlets working out! And the way you set up your defenses was so cool! Toga! Your quirk is so cool! How long can you transform? How do you transform? Can you use other's quirks? Wha-"

'Heh. Nerd.'

Toga let out a chuckle, "You sure like quirks huh, Zuzu? Well I'll let you figure it out."

Izuku's eyes lit up with challenge, bringing a smile to Momo as they held hands. Though Izuku took note of the slight tone of sadness in the blonds voice. Shinso gave a smile to Toga, one she returned. They then turned to their teacher for evaluation.

"Now then young heroes! That was a well done match! Now who do you think was the MVP?"

There was a slight pause at that question, causing All Might to look around nervously at the awkward class.

"Anyone? MVP? Don't be shy now?"

Izuku raised his hand, which the hero acknowledged.

"Sir, can there be two of them?"

"Why ask that sort of question?"

"Yeah," Kirishima commented , "Both sides played well, but…"

"They both lost in their own way. Didn't they?" Mina finished.

"Yeah. All Yaoyorozu's defenses failed," Sero commented.

"But then again, Toga didn't secure the weapon," Jiro pointed out.

"All astute observations! Care to explain, Young Midoriya?"

Izuku nodded, a bit nervous at having to speak to such a large crowd.

"W-Well Toga's plan to buy time was great and the unexpected aspect of her quirk and hand to hand skills caught her opponent off guard. Meanwhile, Momo's preparation and foresight was strong too. She predicted she would fight alone so she planned to force her opponent to do the same. Almost anybody would have struggled against those defenses."

All Might motioned him to continue as the class listened in, even Bakugo and Todoroki were lending an ear.

"Both planned ahead and fought well. The only problem is they fought each other. Against almost anyone else in this class they would have won."

All Might gave a clap at that answer as most of the class m murmured in agreement. Momo blushed at her boyfriend's praise as she felt the warm fuzzies in her. Toga also grinned in praise as Shinso gave her a nod of support.

"Well said, Young Midoriya! I agree with your assessment. Young Toga and Young Yaoyorozu both planned and adapted well. Taking to heart our earlier lesson! Nice work!"

The class felt moved at the Number One's motivational words, generic as they were. It was then they heard the bell rang signifying the end of class.

"Now then, young heroes, good work! Remember what you learned in your battles today."

"Yes sir!" Most of the class cheered.

"Ha ha ha! Such energy! We'll make heroes of you yet!"

With some heroic poses and a mighty dash the hero ran out much to the amazement of the class, all amazed by the power of the strongest hero around. With that the young heroes exited the training field.
