"Brother, is something wrong?" Li Xin asked with worry as she saw him frowning deeply.
"Nothing. I just feel like there is something wrong, but I can't figure out what it is," Li Wei replied with a puzzled look.
"Maybe it's just your imagination, brother," Li Xin shrugged. She didn't feel anything wrong.
"Maybe," Li Wei replied, but the feeling of something amiss kept bothering him.
It all started when he raised his attributes, but he didn't pay much attention to it because of the critical situation.
"I hope it's just my imagination," he murmured and continued to walk forward.
"Hey, why can't we store this corpse in the item box? Didn't the system say we can sell it?"
"Don't you see the message on the panel? It says it's a 'Quest Item,' and the rewards will be issued automatically."
"What the heck! So we can't steal or collect the corpse? The system is playing dirty."
"It's not the system; it's you who wants to play dirty."
Li Wei looked at the people who were fighting and killing as if they did it daily.
He also saw some human corpses eaten and dead around the monster's corpse.
'A dead human body yet I don't feel anything?' Li Wei thought with a stunned expression and glanced at Li Xin.
'Even she isn't showing much reaction to it. No wonder I felt something was amiss.' He muttered in his heart with a deep frown.
"Brother, are you all right?" Li Xin grabbed his hand with worry as she saw him lost in thoughts with a deep frown.
Watching her worried look, Li Wei felt guilty.
'What the heck am I thinking? The world has nothing to do with me,' he cursed himself.
"I was just thinking about something serious; there is no need to worry," he replied with a smile.
"Mhmm, I believe you. But if you have any concern, you can tell me. I will always listen to you," Li Xin stated with a serious look.
"Okay, let's find some monsters and level you up," Li Wei nodded at her and looked around for the monsters.
It didn't take too long and he saw a goblin coming towards them.
There was no hesitation; he slashed his sword at the goblin, injuring it.
"XinXin, take this guy down," he said.
"What about you, brother? Don't you want to level up?" Li Xin asked with a frown.
If he doesn't level up, then it might be a problem to fight monsters later.
"I don't need to level up now; you can do it," Li Wei replied with confidence.
His attributes already exceeded the limit of his level, but he knew that he still couldn't deal with a real Level 5 who was not suppressed and had their attributes decreased.
But it wasn't a problem with the suppressed one they were currently fighting.
"Okay, brother, then I will kill it," Li Xin nodded and directly killed the monster.

Just as Li Wei was busy leveling up Li Xin, the goddess of death and goddess of life were sitting in the white room and watching his actions on the screen.
"Sera, he noticed the change," Luna, the Goddess of Life, spoke.
Sera, the Goddess of Death, glanced at Li Wei on the screen.
"Of course he will because his attributes are increased, making the effect weaker," she explained.
"But will he be able to survive and kill 'them'? He, after all, was chosen by mistake," Luna asked with doubt as she looked at Li Wei.
The 'them' she was talking about were none other than the gods who started the evolution of earth. Furthermore, it was a 'God' rank evolution, which can't be stopped and placed a lot of restrictions on every god.
Hearing the mention of them, Sera's face became frostier.
"Hmph! If 'those' bastards wouldn't have cursed me when I was choosing the 'Anointed One,' it wouldn't have ended like this," she replied coldly.
The opportunity to select 'Anointed One' was rare; furthermore, it was a random selection so Luna and others gave this opportunity to her, especially since her luck was higher.
Sera was even confident in manipulating the selection to filter out oppiste gender but at the last moment 'they' cursed her, making her luck drop rapidly. In the end she couldn't manipulate the selection, and thus it landed on Li Wei, who had low luck.
"Sera, why did you give him your self-created skills and even upgraded his system? He's just an 'Anointed One.' It is already good enough that you gave him the blessings of ten times rewards and XP," Luna said with doubt.
In response Sera just shrugged.
"No matter what, he was dragged here because of me. If it can help him survive, I will do it," she spoke as if it was a fact.
Li Wei was chosen by the mistake of her, so she would help him survive as much as she could. If he still failed to do it, then she couldn't do anything.
"But we might still have a chance to choose another 'Anointed One' when Earth enters the third or fourth phase, or we can even directly choose our Disciples," Luna expressed her dissatisfaction.
"That's why I gave him all I could. Don't forget if we can choose more 'Anointed Ones' and disciples, 'they' can do it too, and they will definitely send someone to kill our 'Anointed Ones.' He is no exception," Sera explained.
"Did you find where 'they' ran away?" she asked.
"No, we haven't found them, but 'they' might even be on Earth, hiding themselves," Luna replied with a frown.
"I see. Now we can just hope that our unlucky 'Anointed One' can survive, even if he doesn't kill 'them'," Sera muttered as she looked at Li Wei on the screen.
He was dragged into this because his luck wasn't that good. How would he feel if he ever found out about it?
"Sera, look, there's an 'Abyssal' monster, and it's heading towards him!" Luna spoke with a stunned look.
"'Abyssal' monster? Who the hell has the guts to add them in the invasion?" Sera questioned with a frown.

[Ding, Congratulations, your level increased to Level 5]
[Ding, you have received 10 SP, 10 AP, and 100 coins as a level-up reward]
"Brother, I leveled up again," Li Xin informed him after seeing the notification.
Li Wei nodded, heaving a sigh of relief after seeing her level increase.
"How many mana potions do you have remaining?" he inquired.
He purchased 5 mana potions for her to recover because one mana potion only recovered 50 MP.
Li Xin looked at the remaining mana potions and said.
"Hmm, I still have 3 remaining because I didn't use any skills. But doesn't it cost too much, brother? And why aren't we recovering our mana without potions?" she asked.
Li Wei also felt puzzled about why they weren't recovering any MP but it was useless to think about it now.
"Anyway, we should level up more. Take this monster down," he replied as he injured the low-level monster.
But Li Xin shook her head.
"Brother, you should level up. I am already at level 5 and can fight by myself," she said with a resolute look.
Li Wei could only smile wryly as he understood she wouldn't back down until his level becomes higher than hers.
"Okay, I will level up then. But be careful when fighting with monsters, and run as soon as you see if there are more than one," he warned, still a little worried.
"I will just stay behind you and kill any monsters that come from behind," Li Xin assured him.
She herself wasn't willing to go far away from him.
"Okay then," Li Wei felt relieved.
If she was closer to him, it would be much easier and faster to respond. With that, he directly slashed his sword towards the two Kobolds.

"It's really easy for me to level up, huh," Li Wei murmured.
It took a lot of time and monsters to level up Li Xin, yet he only killed 10 and leveled up to 4.
Just then—
*Ding!*
A message arrived in his inbox.
Goddess of Death: Be careful, an 'Abyssal' monster has appeared, and its target is you.
"An abyssal monster? What is that?" Li Wei looked puzzled when he saw the message, but before he could ask, his attention was attracted by a sound.
*Bang! Bang! Bang!*
A heavy metallic sound of walking echoed, attracting their and nearby people's attention.
Li Wei and Li Xin both looked in the direction of the sound.
"Brother, should we run?" Li Xin asked, unsure of what to do as she saw the monster behind the commotion.
Li Wei couldn't help but smile wryly.
'Am I really that unlucky?' he questioned to himself as he stared at the 7-foot-tall black-armored knight who held a pitch-black 4-foot sword.
"Brother, what should we do?" Li Xin asked with fear.
The knight was heading towards them, and it didn't even look at the other people.
"Just stay behind me and don't attack until I tell you to, okay?" Li Wei warned. He didn't want her to be in danger again.
"Okay, brother," Li Xin nodded in agreement. She didn't know how powerful he was, but she trusted him.
*Bang! Bang! Bang!*
The Black Knight suddenly came to a halt.
It looked at Li Wei, who was only 50 meters away, and said with a scrappy metallic voice.
"H.U.M.A.N.....Y.O.U.....L.O.O.K....D.E.L.I.C.I.O.U.S..."
"Yes, yes, I am as delicious as your mother!" Li Wei cursed as he silently used Analyze Eye.
