Chapter 695 - 695 High School of The Dead: The Devil's Disturbances, Jealousy Along the Way, The Depravity of People, Arriving at Rika Minami's House, and Little Alice.

In the X-Mansion, Rogue, Jean, Cate, and Kitty were having a sleepover while theorizing about the future of the zombie world.

The girls sat in a circle wearing light, casual clothes—an image that would make more than a few men drool.

In the middle of the circle were the volumes of the HOTD manga and a Blu-ray with the anime's single season. This manga went down in history because the author's death left it unfinished, despite its enormous potential.

"At first, I thought I could use this to guide us, but there are several changes that make me feel powerless," sighed Jean as she put down the seventh and final volume of the story.

Rogue laughed as she opened a soda. "You mean there are Volatiles from Dying Light, Chargers and Jockeys from Left 4 Dead, and who knows how many types of zombies?"

Kitty, lying on a pillow, ate a potato chip. "Nothing we can do. The devil wasn't going to make things easy for Allen, and let's be honest, the original HOTD zombies are a joke compared to the others."

Cate checked her phone. "I don't like the way the story's progressing. It makes me feel like everything's going to go to hell really fast."

The girls had compared the original story with the world Allen was in and realized several things.

First, the story had shifted to Tokyo when originally it should've taken place in Tokonatsu, an invented prefecture of Japan. This not only raised the scale due to Tokyo's immense population, but also opened the possibility of massive hordes of hundreds of thousands—or even millions—of zombies. Something like that would be impossible to overcome, even for Allen.

Another important change was that some characters' backstories had been altered. Rei Miyamoto's father had been a regular policeman, not the police chief of Tokyo's Suginami district. Saeko's father had a dojo, but now he was also a Yakuza boss.

Cate snorted. "Let's not forget that guy, Imamura. He's a disgusting thug, but he was supposed to be Komuro Takashi's friend."

"That's true. And another thing—Teshima is the teacher who dies at the beginning of the story, right?" Kitty opened the first volume to check. "He wasn't supposed to be that tall and muscular."

"For now those are just details. I'm worried the story might twist too much…" Jean said with concern.

"I wouldn't worry too much. There are indeed big differences, but the story seems to be returning to its original path. Look—they're heading to Rika Minami's house, just like in the original. Only this time my brother got rid of the men so he could enjoy the view alone~" Rogue shrugged. "The only change is that originally Rika's house was after crossing the bridge, but now it looks like it's before the crossing. That means the legendary scene of Saeko in the naked apron is happening earlier~"

The rest of the girls burst out laughing until Rogue looked at the cover of the last manga volume.

"That is… until the original story ends."

Once that happens, nobody knows what will occur.

In the best-case scenario, when the original story ends Allen would complete the world, be free to use his powers, end all the zombies with a snap, and let the survivors rebuild the world. However, none of them believed that would happen, not knowing Lucifer's true objective—and how much of a bastard he could be.

Seeing the downcast faces of the others, Rogue felt bad and encouraged them.

"Come on, girls! We're talking about Allen here! Let's trust him!"

"That's right, my brother can handle anything!" said Cate with confidence.

"The master never disappoints in critical moments!" Jean exclaimed, rolling on the floor.

"That's the spirit!" Kitty cheered. "Besides, Rogue and Jean haven't confessed yet—how could he die?!"

Cate grabbed a pillow and threw it at Kitty.

"Hey!"

The girls started a pillow fight in a scene that would definitely give many nosebleeds.

....

...

....

Allen rode his motorcycle alongside the van, but he wasn't alone.

"Allen-kun, am I hugging you too tightly?~" Shizuka asked flirtatiously.

Allen laughed as he felt Shizuka's enormous breasts against his back. "No, you can hug me tighter."

"Hehe pervert~"

Rei and Saya glared at them from inside the van, their eyes burning with jealousy. Saeko looked calm, but there was a coldness in her eyes, and Kyoko was pouting as she drove.

As expected, all the girls had wanted to ride on Hayabusa with Allen.

To avoid unnecessary fights, they decided it with rock-paper-scissors, and Shizuka was the winner.

Allen didn't say anything about it. If this avoided jealous girls fighting in the middle of a zombie apocalypse, he considered it good enough.

Allen, sensing the girls' jealousy, decided to stop joking around. "We must hurry."

He began to speed up, while Shizuka winked at the other girls, earning herself a barrage of curses.

On the way to Rika Minami's house, they saw several incidents—from a truck filled with zombies like the one that had crashed in Fujimi, to a helicopter that had crashed in the middle of the street, forcing them to take a detour.

The road was relatively clear of zombies, which gave Kyoko chills as she drove the van. After all, the last thing she wanted was to run into a horde.

Luckily, that didn't happen, but along the way, they came across a massive fire and screams everywhere. At first, Allen thought it was zombies, but to his surprise, it was a group of people.

They carried sticks, pipes, and one even had a shotgun. They were setting shops and cars on fire with homemade Molotov cocktails, while others looted or attacked innocent people.

"Haha, it's the Apocalypse!" shouted a man, firing wildly as a family ran away in terror.

"This is insane!" Rei exclaimed.

"You'd better get used to seeing people like this," Saya said grimly. As if dealing with zombies wasn't bad enough, now they also had to worry about people who had lost their minds.

"What do we do?" Saeko rolled down the van window to ask Allen.

"We need that shotgun," Allen declared with a serious look.

Getting firearms in Japan was extremely difficult. Buying them from the system store was absurdly expensive, so for Allen that shotgun was something he couldn't let slip away.

Allen accelerated while extending his hand backward. Shizuka understood immediately and quickly handed him the metal pipe she had in her lap.

"Hahaha… huh? You wanna die?!" the man laughed, but before he could aim, Allen hurled the pipe at him, shattering his arm.

"AHHH!"

The rest of the group froze in shock.

Allen stopped his motorcycle, got off, and walked toward the man writhing in pain on the ground. Without sparing him a glance, he picked up the shotgun and stripped the ammo from him.

"Bastard! That's mine!"

"If you were going to use it to survive, I wouldn't take it," was all Allen said before also picking up his pipe and getting ready to return to the Hayabusa.

The mob, realizing Allen's intentions, slowly closed in. Their eyes were bloodshot, twisted smiles on their faces, filled with malice toward him—though some were clearly eyeing the girls.

"Hold him down and grab those women!" one of them shouted.

At this point, Allen had the shotgun in his hand, but it didn't seem to scare them. That only meant they were completely insane.

Saeko and Rei stepped out of the van, both with their weapons in hand.

Allen cracked his neck and looked at the mob with a mocking smile. "I'm pretty sure you're about to regret this."

The first one to rush at him swung a bat. Allen broke it with a single kick, then grabbed the man by the collar and hurled him into the crowd, knocking several others down.

Allen dropped the metal pipe and the shotgun to the ground and charged into the mob.

With a single punch, he smashed the teeth out of a middle-aged man, who reeled in shock. Allen didn't give him time to think before delivering a kick to his chest, breaking several ribs.

Another man lunged with a knife. Allen dodged, struck his wrist, shattering it, and as the man screamed, Allen silenced him with a punch that broke his jaw.

"AHHHHGRR!"

"Damn you!"

Allen dodged a kick—this time from a man with a solid stance and cauliflower ears. He must've been an MMA fighter.

"..." Allen smirked and shrugged.

"Bastard!"

Enraged by Allen's mockery, the man exploded into a flurry of rapid punches. Allen simply caught his fist and mercilessly crushed it, breaking every finger in his hand.

"AHHHHHHHHHH!"

The fighter squealed like a pig. Allen didn't let go—he used him as a weapon to bludgeon the others.

Meanwhile...

A large bald middle-aged man with a vicious look approached the van. When he saw the beautiful women, he began to drool. Killing and destroying things was fine for him, but this man wanted another kind of pleasure.

Saeko smirked with sadism, "Are you sure?"

"Hey, beauty, why don't you come with Uncle? I'll treat you better than that weakling."

The girls looked at the man as if he were an idiot, while he didn't even notice that Allen was using another person like a club to smash enemies.

"Shut up, ugly gorilla!" yelled Saya.

"Over my dead body!" Rei snapped.

"You're disgusting..." Kyoko growled.

Saeko and Shizuka didn't even bother to give an opinion, but their looks of disgust spoke volumes.

Feeling despised, the man shouted and attacked. He would take these women by force, and once he had them, he would treat them like slaves—just to make them regret their words.

Rei and Saeko seemed to vanish for a moment, they were quick and deadly, before the man could blink, their swords cut him at calf height.

"AHHHRGG!"

He fell to the ground and began to scream. They weren't mortal wounds, but they were a death sentence.

"NOOO! DAMN IT! FUCK!!"

Despite his screams and what Rei and Saeko had just done, neither Saya nor Kyoko, nor even Shizuka judged them. In this world, kindness toward your enemies was cruelty toward your companions—and yourself.

"You made a grave mistake"

Saeko was a girl who enjoyed hurting others, but right now, she only wanted to finish off this bastard.

"The world is better off without people like you!"

Rei had already accepted the new reality of the world, and she knew she had to be decisive when dealing with people like this. She would rather die eaten by zombies than be turned into a toy for a bastard like him.

Allen finished off the last enemy and walked toward the girls. He had observed everything that happened. Of course, he had let that man through to give them the chance to choose.

Unexpectedly, they all passed the test on the first try.

"We should go," Allen said, handing Saya the shotgun.

"Hey, wait, what am I supposed to do with this?!"

Allen laughed, "You're a genius, I'm sure you'll learn quickly."

Saya blushed, but her pride didn't let her complain any further, so she searched for a tutorial online. For her, it was enough to use something once to memorize it—after that, it was just a matter of practice.

Allen returned to his Hayabusa, where Shizuka smiled at him lazily.

"Are we leaving already?~"

"Yes."

They departed without giving the wounded on the ground a second glance. As for the innocent people who had been chased by that group earlier, they had long since run away in panic.

Allen didn't have the obligation or disposition to save everyone, so he could only wish them luck.

"Ahh! Those bastards!" cursed the bald man, blinded by rage. He tried to get up—he wanted to reach a vehicle and chase after them.

But soon he froze at the sound of his companions' screams.

When he turned around, he saw a nightmare. A horde of thousands of zombies, drawn by all the noise they had made, had appeared. It didn't take long before they surrounded and began devouring everyone.

Some tried to escape, but with their injuries, they didn't get far. They were brought down, and little by little their bodies were torn apart as dozens of zombies fought over scraps of their flesh and drops of their blood.

"No!"

The man crawled desperately, trying to escape, but he was caught. A zombie bit his face, tearing off half of it. Another sank its teeth into his throat, ripping it open. The man could only endure unimaginable agony as he was eaten alive by zombies that showed him no mercy.

....

....

Night had fallen, but strangely there was still electricity.

"The government must have made sure essential employees didn't abandon their posts," Allen commented, feeling the night wind.

"Yeah, that would explain the JSDF helicopters we saw all day," Rei said with contempt. She believed they had been evacuating "important" people while ignoring the common folk.

"JSDF?" Allen asked with doubt.

Remembering Allen had lost his memory, Saeko explained, "Japan Self-Defense Forces. They're not really an army, but they're the closest thing we have."

Allen nodded, recalling that Japan hadn't had its own army since World War II.

"There it is!" Shizuka exclaimed.

The motorcycle and the van stopped.

"..." Allen got off Hayabusa and looked at Rika Minami's house.

It was a small but decent two-story home with a metal door, a reinforced garage, and concrete walls.

He could see the military jeep Shizuka had mentioned—it was actually a Hummer. Allen nodded at the sight. He could expect weapons in the house of someone who owned a vehicle like that.

Shizuka took Allen's hand and excitedly led him toward the house while pulling out a key.

This made Allen raise an eyebrow. Were they such close friends that Rika had given Shizuka a spare key to her home?

"What about the van?" Kyoko asked.

Allen thought for a moment, glancing at the Hummer, before deciding.

"We'll leave it there."

The girls got out of the van and entered the house. Shizuka didn't forget to open the garage so Allen could park his Hayabusa inside.

Saya gave Allen a silent look, approached him, and whispered, "Aren't you going to tell them?"

Allen understood what she meant. Wasn't he going to tell them he could store things in his inventory?

Back with the other group, Saya never would have asked, since people like Shido were around. But here, with this small group...

Allen thought for a moment. Among these girls, there wasn't a single one who hadn't earned his trust.

Rei and Saeko had fought by his side. Saya had proven to be trustworthy. Shizuka was always willing to follow his orders and help. And Kyoko, despite being a woman who rarely exercised, had carried the heavy flamethrower through two hordes just because Allen had asked her to—even though Allen would've been fine if Kyoko had dropped it.

"Let's rest, eat, take a bath, and then I want to talk to you about something important."

The girls tensed at Allen's serious look. Saya thought he had decided to reveal the truth about his mysterious powers. Rei and Saeko assumed he was going to tell the others about the Apocalypse Shop. But Kyoko and Shizuka reacted differently—their cheeks turned red as they seemed to fantasize about something else.

'No way... we're teacher and student~' Kyoko thought, blushing.

Shizuka grabbed her cheeks and squirmed, 'Rika warned me only to do it with a man I love... Did I fall for Allen-kun? I don't know, but I don't dislike the idea hehe.'

Allen noticed the strange reactions from Shizuka and Kyoko and could only chuckle under his breath before urging the women to go inside.

....

Elsewhere in Tokyo, a man was hurriedly putting his daughter into a vehicle before buckling her seatbelt.

He also opened the back door and placed a strange reinforced suitcase with a biometric lock on the back seat, carefully securing it as if he feared what was inside might break.

"Daddy?"

Alice was a cute seven-year-old girl with pink hair and violet eyes. She couldn't help but look at her dad, a little scared.

The middle-aged man's face was pale and drenched in cold sweat, yet he still smiled at his daughter.

"I'm sorry, Alice, we have to hurry. I'll explain later."

Alice, who had been picked up by her father without a word and carried off as if they were escaping from someone, finally spoke.

"But what about Mom?"

The man paused, then forced a fake smile.

"She... she's fine. She'll catch up to us at the airport."

He glanced nervously at the parking lot's surveillance camera before getting into the car and stepping on the accelerator, as if afraid someone would find them.

"Don't worry, Alice, everything's going to be fine..." the man said, though he wasn't convinced of his own words.

When they hit the street, chaos had already broken loose. People were running in terror, being knocked down and bitten. The screams frightened Alice, but she was a brave child and forced herself not to cry.

The car sped up, trying to get as far from central Tokyo as possible—unaware that a drone was silently following them.
