Chapter 143 - Chapter 18: A Single Drop of Poison

As Starfania drew back the curtains, a golden stream of morning light poured into the room, casting a warm glow over everything. A sense of unease filled her; she knew today was the meeting. The one that has been plaguing her mind since last night, the one where she has to hear how they stop her home. Before they cause serious damage to Avalon. The only thing keeping her grounded in reality is the peaceful sight of Atlas curled up by the door, his tail flicking lazily. His soft purring resonated through the quiet space, bringing a calmness that settled deep within her. She decided to let him sleep in cause he stayed up the entire night making sure she was okay.

Starfania got ready for the day as she tiptoed around him and left the door cracked enough to where he could still get out. As soon as she stepped out of the room, the enticing aroma of breakfast guided her towards the kitchen, where Aeron and Vi were already indulging in stacks of golden pancakes. The sight of them happily chatting between bites brought a smile to her face. Aeron, the gracious host he ever is, extended a hand and gestured toward an empty seat. As he spoke with a playful grin. " The princess is finally up. "

She eagerly accepted, cutting into the fluffy pancakes and savoring the rich, buttery taste. " These are absolutely delicious. "

Aeron grinned with pride. " It's a family recipe, passed down for generations. "

Vi nodded enthusiastically. Then she said, leaning back in her chair with satisfaction. " Big brother, you must be the best cook I know. "

Aeron chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck. " Well, I do take pride in my skills. "

Then Vi turned to Starfania with a curious glance. " Hey don't you have a meeting today? "

The reminder hit her like a lightning strike. " Oh! I forgot I was supposed to meet Lyam today? "

Starfania said, smacking her forehead. " You're right I have to get going, I got to go before Lyam thinks I'm a slowpoke. "

Aeron and Vi laughed at Starfania's antics, and as she hurried to prepare, she couldn't shake the feeling that today was definitely gonna be something.

After they finished getting ready, they met near the balcony and Starfania opened the door. Once they were all outside, they hopped onto their respective dragons and stretched their wings out and leaped into the sky. Their shimmering scales catching the sunlight as they gracefully before diving and rising once more, putting on a breathtaking aerial. Starfania had no idea where this meeting was taking place, but considering they were a nation. She figured they would have a grand hall or something that resembles a meeting place. Soon a pointed towered structure adorned with intricate dragon statues. Without hesitation, they headed towards it. As they drew closer, the sight before them was nothing short of enchantment.

Perched on the edge of a mountain cliff, the building was unmistakable from above, offering a commanding view of the vast valley below. Its strategic position exuded a sense of security, a silent promise of protection to those who called this land home. The magnificent structure, crafted from polished white stone, gleamed under the sunlight. It also boasted a breathtaking dome crowned with a majestic stained-glass, depicting scenes of dragons and warriors intertwined in an eternal dance. Four towering turrets, defying gravity, stretched skyward, their spires piercing the clouds. The entrance, constructed from unyielding stone and flanked by grand wooden doors, exuded an aura of strength and purpose. Standing guard at the entrance were two statues of the Seraphithorn Dragons, their carved wings poised as if ready to take flight at any moment.
