"Actually, if the tests at the beginning had shown that I inherited the family illness, I wouldn't have gotten married." James Black gently touched Jane Sampson's head. "I have to be responsible to my wife and my future child."
"Luckily, you didn't," Jane Sampson smiled, her eyes curving beautifully like crescent moons. "Otherwise, if you didn't marry, what would I do?"
James Black's gentle laughter filled the air.
Not getting married was merely a thought from before, a thought before he had fallen in love with Jane Sampson.
But after falling in love with her, James Black thought, if he hadn't been fortunate enough to be part of that 30%, he still might have married her. However, to avoid passing on such risks to the next generation, he would have discussed with her about not having a biological child and opting for adoption instead to raise a child together.
Luckily, he was very fortunate.
So, he didn't need to consider these dilemmas.
