Chapter 1 - Prologue

Being labeled as ugly in the world is a kind of hectic experience. There are no sweet memories, no chance of having a normal family, and even having a girlfriend seems out of reach. That's why the idea of having a perfect and beautiful girlfriend has always been a dream of mine. But these desires are hard to achieve, and even catching a glimpse of a girl can lead to accusations of harassment - "being ugly is hard."

To escape from these harsh realities, I found solace in reading novels. I explored different genres, and my room became a sanctuary filled with various books. Reading about people's perfect lives was mesmerizing and therapeutic. Currently, I'm engrossed in a Royalty romance novel, where a normal farmer girl meets a tyrant prince named Prince Alexander.

"F**king prince, he's a complete a**hole!" I exclaimed, frustrated by the prince's behavior in the novel. He callously kills his assistant, Loki, who had served him faithfully for five years. Loki's tragic end triggers a sad reaction from me. I can't help but reflect on how easily Loki's life was cut short, and it brings me back to the harsh reality of life. While I'm grateful I haven't faced such violence, it's still difficult for me to open up to others. Although I've lost interest in these romantic tales, I can't help but wish I were as handsome as Loki. Exhausted, I mutter, "I'm so sleepy. Life in books is so unfair," before drifting off to sleep.

Suddenly, I hear a voice calling out, "Loki... Loki, today is your departure to the palace." Confused and groggy, I assume I'm dreaming. The voice persists, urging me to wake up. Annoyed, I realize it's a woman's voice, and I grumble about being alone and wanting to sleep.

"Wake up, Loki," the voice insists. The mention of Loki's name stirs mixed emotions within me. Though I had an attachment to Loki, the repetitive reminders of his departure are starting to irritate me.

"Today is your departure, and you need to get ready!" The woman's shout startles me into consciousness. I question the woman's statement, wondering if she's referring to a different Loki. But she clarifies that she's talking about me and hurriedly leaves the room.

Confused and anxious, I jump out of bed and immediately notice that everything has changed. My books are gone, my room has transformed, and the environment is unfamiliar. Panicking, I search for a mirror to make sense of it all. In the bathroom, I find a mirror and come face to face with a handsome man with white hair.

"What's happening?" I ask, bewildered by the sudden transformation.
