But the woman sitting across from her had a pair of eyes sharp as knives, their piercing sharpness not at all diminished by the makeup, and with just a glance, Keira Leaf believed she was certainly no gentle soul.
"Hello, my name is Victoria Carter." The woman walked up to Keira Leaf and extended her hand.
Keira Leaf glanced at her hand and then slowly extended her own to shake it: "I am Keira Leaf."
"I know you are Keira Leaf." Victoria Carter walked to the other side and sat down in front of the dining table.
"How is it? Are you getting used to your days here?" After seating herself, Victoria Carter took a sip of red wine, then smiled and asked Keira Leaf.
