"Did something happen to Adrian Desmond?"
"..."
"Lucas Robertson, did something happen to Adrian Desmond? Is that why there are no texts or calls?" Sienna Johnson asked worriedly.
No messages, no calls; Sienna Johnson couldn't help but overthink.
"I just saw that Miss looked upset, and I wanted to help."
"Lucas Robertson, you..."
Sienna Johnson's eyes landed on an inkstone to the side. She impulsively wanted to smash it on him but, after a moment's thought, held back. It was her father's favorite inkstone. Hurting Lucas Robertson was one thing, but if the inkstone were damaged, she would be heartbroken.
"Adrian Desmond and I are fine. You don't need to worry about us!"
"Alright."
Lucas Robertson wasn't very talkative. Hearing Sienna Johnson's order, he tactfully left.
Sienna Johnson watched the study door close gently, leaving her alone, her expression growing even bleaker.
Was it that obvious?
Even he could see it.
