Osamu walked up to me. His large brown eyes were full of curiosity that reminded me of my siblings when they were little.
Mia glanced at her son and smiled. "Do you want her to tell you more about the past, Osa?"
He nodded, his big eyes remaining stuck on me. I could see the eagerness in his expression—it was the same look I'd seen countless times before in the eyes of children who hungered for stories filled with adventure and wonder.
"Alright, Osamu," I said, crouching down to his level. "I'll tell you and the others a bit more of my story and that of my parents."
"Me wanna know more about Eizan."
I hummed and glanced at Eijiro. "You wanna tell the story this time? You can do more justice to your father's life than me."
My husband crossed his arms. "Fine. But only if everyone promises to listen quietly. I'm not the type who likes repeating myself."
Osamu's eyes widened with excitement. "I promise!"
