Anis nibbled on some grilled carrots as I read her the story of the bunny sibling farmers. The book taught numbers through their adventures in the garden, counting seeds as they planted and vegetables as they harvested.
"Look, Mama!" Anis exclaimed, her eyes lighting up as she pointed at a page filled with colorful illustrations of bunnies planting seeds. "They're planting three carrots!"
"Yes, three carrots!" I confirmed, smiling at her enthusiasm. "Can you count with me?"
"One, two, three!" she said, her little fingers wiggling in the air as she counted along. Her excitement was infectious, and I felt a warmth in my heart as I watched her engage with the story.
As we turned the pages, we encountered a scene where the bunnies had to gather five tomatoes for their salad. "How many tomatoes do we need, Anis?" I prompted, encouraging her participation.
"Five!" she shouted, her face beaming with pride.
