Two days.
It had been two whole days since Azier had been fully himself thanks to a storm that had rolled in and washed his ashes apart. It took a lot longer to put himself back together than he thought it would have.
A lot more painful, too.
It wasn't that he had meant to rebuild himself - it was just that his body and magic had a mind of their own, and no matter if he wanted to or not, he was reborn again and again.
Nothing had changed as far as his attitude was concerned. He still felt hopeless, and he still felt like he had made too many promises to keep.
The man was also embarrassed. If he couldn't handle this little upset, then what else was on the horizon to break him?
