Chapter 2603 - -2532- The truth (2)

"Wha…!?"

Hearing Rozen's words, everyone present was utterly shocked.

The Ring of the King of Magic, Solomon?

Wasn't that Solomon's Ring?

The rings bestowed by God, worn upon his ten fingers—symbols of wisdom, proof of being the King of Magic.

When gathered, all ten rings could nullify all human magecraft and bring magi under Solomon's command. And the former Director had possessed such a ring?

This kind of thing…

"Don't say it's impossible."

Rozen curled his lips into a faint smile.

"Legend has it that when King Solomon passed away, he followed God's command and left behind one of his ten rings, burying it as a gift for the distant future."

If that were true, then naturally that ring would remain, perhaps even until now.

"Moreover, Marisbury Animusphere, the former Director, excavated many holy relics—for example, the Round Table once used by the Knights of the Round Table was fashioned into a shield, becoming the catalyst Mash used to summon Galahad. In the same way, he himself left records of excavating ruins related to King Solomon and acquiring a ring."

If so, then the ring used in that experiment had a very high chance of being Solomon's Ring.

"Solomon was the King of Magic, the agent of God, and even one qualified for the title of Grand Caster. If one possessed a catalyst capable of summoning him, of course they would attempt it. In that case, winning the Holy Grail War would be practically assured, wouldn't it?"

Rozen spoke indifferently.

This statement shocked everyone.

Especially Olga Marie.

"So you're saying… Father once summoned Solomon, and had him descend into your body?"

Olga Marie said this in disbelief.

"That's right." Rozen's tone remained detached, even cold and merciless. "It's just a pity—the summoning succeeded, but the Demi-Servant experiment failed."

That much was obvious.

If it had succeeded, Rozen would have become a Demi-Servant like Mash, and his True Name would have been Solomon.

However, Rozen had not become a Demi-Servant. He had nearly perished instead. This proved that though Solomon had indeed descended, he, like Galahad in the past, had not chosen to bestow his power upon the host—yet unlike Galahad, he hadn't even entered slumber.

Back then, Galahad had chosen to sleep within Mash's body—not to cooperate with Chaldea's experiment, nor to return to the Throne—because if he retreated, Mash would immediately collapse and die.

Thus, to preserve Mash's life, Galahad chose to remain dormant within her.

But Rozen had no such luck.

"Solomon may have been a wise king, the King of Magic and Wisdom, but he would never compromise so easily with humanity to cooperate in such an experiment. Instead, he resisted, broke free of his host, and manifested in the outside world."

Rozen described it as though it had nothing to do with him, his voice calm and understated.

"As a result, the experimental subject was left on the verge of death, kept alive only by machines, while the former Director struck a pact with Solomon, who had manifested externally, to participate together in the Holy Grail War. In the end, they joined the Fuyuki Holy Grail War in 2004, achieved victory, and obtained the wish-granting device of Fuyuki City—the Holy Grail."

Through that wish, Marisbury gained the enormous funds he needed to support Chaldea, enabling it to begin functioning successfully.

And then…

"Solomon made a wish to the Holy Grail as well."

Rozen whispered softly.

"If I'm not mistaken, Solomon's wish to the Holy Grail was to become human."

From that moment, a human existence appeared in this world as if out of thin air.

And in the very end, Rozen received a miracle—salvation.

"Solomon made a wish to the Holy Grail: 'Give all of my power, magecraft, mana, Noble Phantasms, everything that I am as a Heroic Spirit, to a dying child, so that he may live.'"

After all, as had been said before, not even the Holy Grail could heal Mash. Naturally, it could not heal the dying Rozen either.

Therefore, when Solomon chose to become human, he remembered the child he had once descended into—the one left dying because of his departure. He decided to turn everything he was about to abandon into a miracle, offering it all as nourishment to that child so that he could live.

This was something only Solomon could do.

"In the Bible, it is written that in the end, King Solomon returned the blessings he had received from God, giving back the ten rings to the heavens."

Rozen's voice lingered faintly.

"Based on that legend, Solomon should possess a Noble Phantasm corresponding to it—one that abandons all the great works, all the miracles, all the magecraft he had achieved, bidding farewell to both the world and the divine."

Unfortunately, the Solomon who had manifested in this world only possessed a single ring as a catalyst, so he could not fully enact that legend.

But if he invoked the legend to a limited extent, and borrowed the power of the Holy Grail, he could still transform all of his existence as a Heroic Spirit—his great works, miracles, and magecraft—into an offering.

Not an offering to God, but to a child.

And that child thus obtained the miracle, absorbed all of Solomon's power, and used it as nourishment to survive.

"The only thing unexpected was that this artificially created child turned out to be astonishingly compatible with the ring. After absorbing all of Solomon's power and surviving by that miracle, he not only gained new life, but even awakened his own latent potential. In the end, his soul fused with it, giving birth to an entirely new ring, one that ascended to a realm even King Solomon and God Himself could not have foreseen."

Rozen lowered his eyes.

"Human, Heroic Spirit, and Divine—all three powers absorbed in their entirety. Coupled with the mana of the Holy Grail and the realization of biblical legend, this convergence within a child who was never meant to exist triggered an unforeseeable, unimaginable chemical reaction—creating a once-in-eternity miracle."

That miracle was the existence known as Lorelei Arnage—an existence born from miracles, bound to miracles, and one who throughout life pursued miracles as a summoner.

As for Solomon, he cast aside everything and became nothing more than a human being.

"Because I once merged with him, my genes, my constitution, and even my magic circuits grew closer to his."

"Because I absorbed all that he was as nourishment, and gained new life from it, I am his duplicate, his younger brother, and even could be called his descendant and heir—whether by bloodline or by nature."

"And in the end, he too came to Chaldea, brought me out of the laboratory, and became my brother."

Saying this, Rozen, before the astonished eyes of everyone, revealed the truth to the long-silent Roman.

"You—Romani Archaman—are Solomon. And at the same time, you are Chaldea's very first successful case of a Heroic Spirit summoning."
