Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

"How about we summon our partners and ask them about it, I mean it can't be that big of a deal, right?" I suggested, my voice dripping with confidence and authority. Leon nodded in agreement, so we wasted no time in summoning our partners. "Furah, may I ask you about the voice in my head" I asked, Furah looked at me and said "Well that's my voice, master", "I know that, I mean there was a different voice that wasn't you, and it was the same for Leon with Terra." Furah looked at me in fear and worry "Oh well we don't know what to do in that situation I'm sorry I couldn't be of assistance, master" She said apologetically. I look at Furah and say "Oh it's ok, Furah you can go train with Terra now".

Furah and Terra, who immediately retreated to a separate room for their specialized training and bonding. Furah and Terra engaged in their activities, Leon and I focused on our own training session. The room was filled with the sound of our exertions, the clashing of swords and the crackling of energy. But amidst the intensity, a strange unease began to creep over me.

Deciding to take a moment to freshen up, I left the training area and, to my surprise, stumbled upon Furah completely unclothed. Our eyes met briefly, and I quickly averted my gaze, my heart pounding in my chest.

"Did you see me naked, master?" Furah asked, her voice gentle and innocent, as if she were a delicate flower. Blushing profusely, I nodded, unable to form coherent words. She covered herself hastily and approached me, her movements graceful and alluring. And then, in a move that defied all logic, she planted a kiss on my cheek.

"I don't mind if you see me naked, master," she whispered, her lips brushing against my skin. The situation was absurd, surreal even. Was I losing my mind? Did I hear her correctly? Was she genuinely granting me, a mere human, the privilege of beholding her exquisite form without any garments? Furah kissed me again, this time our lips briefly touching, before she spoke once more.

"Terra and I have ensured that our mental connections are not openly accessible to you and Leon." With those mysterious words, she departed, leaving me dumbfounded and bewildered. I eventually managed to collect myself and proceeded to clean up, but the encounter lingered in my mind, a puzzle I couldn't solve.

I noticed Furah and Terra sitting together, their expressions tinged with concern. Sensing their anticipation, I approached them, my curiosity piqued. "While we have yet to pinpoint the exact whereabouts of the remaining chosen individuals, we are particularly concerned about the youngest among us," Furah expressed, her voice tinged with worry.

Opal, the youngest sister with an elemental affinity for darkness, was the cause of their concern. It didn't take long for me to grasp the gravity of the situation. The demon king and queen, our primary adversaries, targeted individuals with dark elemental powers. If they were to capture Opal and manipulate her, their already formidable strength would be further augmented.

I explained this to Leon, who seemed perplexed by the significance of Opal's darkness affinity. His physical prowess was undeniable, but his intellectual judgement left much to be desired. Perhaps it was time to consider honing his mental faculties alongside his physical training. With that in mind, Terra and Leon departed for the library to pursue knowledge and enhance his intellect.

As they delved into their studies, I suddenly felt a sensation of heat beneath my hand. Startled, I discovered that my hand was engulfed in flames. Panic surged within me, but Furah, ever the calm presence, swiftly approached to calm me.

"Relax, master. Feel it. Notice how it doesn't burn," she reassured me, her voice soothing. And she was right. I gradually learned to control and manifest fire, a newfound ability that both fascinated and terrified me. It was yet another piece of the puzzle, another layer of power to add to our arsenal.

News arrived that the machine had detected another chosen hero, prompting us to set out on a quest to locate them. With our partners returning to their resting place, we embarked on a journey that would test our resolve and push us to our limits.
