Chapter 441 - Chapter 441: Tag!, Part 5

Thump.

Thump.

Thump. Thump. Thump.

Harvard can feel his heart beating faster. Whatever Tomberry was doing, it was allowing his vitals to go double. He could feel his blood trailing through his veins, his heart acting like an engine, his mind crackling at each piece of newly given flesh. He could feel his feet moving, the muscles tensing at each inch. He could feel his hands twitching, waiting to close as if he wanted to hold something. His mind was going slower and slower in such reaction, yet his blood was going faster and faster. His heart beats louder and louder. The petals that served as his eyes were spastic, yet his mouth made a malicious grin. His feet prepared to take off, stomping at the ground, the engine starting up. Criollo braced himself as he'd see this sudden shift of annoyance turn pride. Anger turned excitement. Whatever detail he found...

It was making him alive.

NYOOOOOOOM!!!!

The very ground between everyone broke in two, the remaining Guards quickly saving the children and Flourence, whilst Envy spreads his licorice-like body to act as a net for Tsukiya. They watched in awe and horror as Harvard was bouncing off from candy to candy, chasing after the Guard with speeds they felt unrecognizable. The two darted back outside, letting the vast space serve as their playground, with Harvard running across the chocolate walls on all fours, the skull chattering as if it was laughing, while the flower screamed in excitement. "WHAT IS THIS!?!? I CAN FEEL EVERYTHING!! I CAN TASTE EVERYTHING!!! I CAN SEE EVERYTHING!!!!!" A high pitch, loud enough for other residents to hear and take cover, as Criollo ran his way across the many shops and smiths, letting the flames snatch his body as it blasted around the area, with Harvard blitzing straight ahead. Criollo was almost shocked at how close he got, yet he was relieved to see him go right past the Guard, providing him another opportunity to dodge as he'd let the aroma mingle with the smoke.

When he looked down, however, he noticed that the tracks he left became patches of grass. He took a few and bit into it, plummeting even further as he watched the boy zip across each floor, using it as a platform to bounce off. "...Lime. Lime and Lemon. He's integrating the wildlife with the House." He'd mumble, tossing the blades of grass aside as he'd take his axe and scrape each other with it, a shrill metallic screech to try and stunt the Card Magician. Alas, the boy merely picked up the sound and jumped straight at him, his hearing nulled, but not completely out. He'd brace as Harvard would rocket straight into the Guard's gut, nearly breaking him in half had it not been for the armor and the axes to take the blow, before scampering off into the area, bouncing and cheering as the boy slowly turned such a home into his personal jungle. The Guard coughed up some crumbs as he'd watch the child enjoy himself, quickly leaping ahead and setting up his aroma to tangle alongside the very vines, quickly stunting the senses for only a split second, allowing the Guard to tap him once more. The final stretch, where he has to stall long enough to wear down his energy.

"What IS THIS!? It's like every part of my body is all over the place!! It's so open! It's so free!! It's a MIRACLE!!!!" The boy screamed, as he'd shift the skull to let the flower see the Guard, quickly slamming at the roof to try and catch up. Of course, the Aroma still lingered, a mixture of red, blue, and green. His mind was drifting, his bliss was increasing, and the green scent made sure to amp such effects further. In Criollo's mind, such a combination would usually be enough to stunt the brain with its concoctions, forcing them to wander around the House and never find the target again until the time cuts short. However, a slight miscalculation came as the flower's mouth smiled wider, a cackle, nay, a manic laughter echoing from each floor.

The boy went even faster.

Even though the effects did connect, the very speed he took made it little difference. Criollo watched as the boy was making the jungle grow more and more, watching him bounce from tree to tree like a ping pong ball, the momentum increasing at an exponential rate. What did he do to increase this? The populace began to panic as they see their goods and materials become organic, an uproar made that caused many guards to come out and investigate on the matter, some even trying to cast magic on the child to hold him down. Nothing, however, seem to be working. Gummy Bear prisons with Gummy worm rope to bind his legs, Frosting adhesives, Mochi arms to surround and flood the child, acting almost like an ocean, even chocolate incenses to waver the energy and weaken his performance. No matter what they did, it didn't stop the child, with some answers even providing a boost towards his speed and power, barreling through each and every option. Criollo finally began to understand why his energy was uncontrollable, and thusly, his power surging. "Call off every candy force."

"ARE YOU INSANE!? He's clearly wrecking the place! LOOK!!! He's turning our beloved home into a rainforest! The Goddess would die of FRIGHT if she were to step out and see the flora invade such-"

"I know what I said. Cease. Trust me." An order, one that made the lesser guards nervous, but obligated, as the man shouted for the troops to fall back, while he would lunge forward and catch the child's attention, an axe straight for the boy's head, even after such insane speeds.

The mad cackle still rings as Harvard rushes for the direction, prompting Criollo another swing of his axe, aimed right for the child's shin, leading him further away from the populace, letting the plant-life grow around and set in the very center, the biome for the Guard to keep watch over the rabid monster in such newly made woods.
