Orion placed the maps into his spatial inventory as he now had a general idea of what was on Darren Island.He then looked towards the equipment on the floor.Particularly he was looking at a magical robe and staff.

Orion didn't know how to feel about having Torrents hand me downs but at least it would increase his power and even provide him with extra mana.Orion closely examined the magical staff.It was made of a blue metal and at the end of it there was a crystal of some kind.Orion could feel the mana inside of it which meant that this was where the mana in the staff came from.The crystal seemed to have been taken out of a larger whole.
"Orion it's time to head to the trial we have to get ready."Merry yelled from downstairs which alerted Orion that he had already spent a large amount of time up in his room.
"I'll be coming down just wait for me."Orion yelled from his room so his mother could hear.Orion changed his clothing so he was wearing his new magical robes and and new magical staff.
When Orion headed down his parents immediately assumed that what he was wearing was given to him by Archmage Mandar Schion.Akon was also pretty excited as he assumed that Orion was officially a part of the mages guild and would teach him magic in the future.
Once Merry checked if everyone was ready the family left the home.Outside many people were headed in a certain direction which Orion guessed was the trial.Orion immediately thought back to the demon of sloth Varimathras.Orion didn't know how Varimathras would deal with the trial.There was a high possibility that he might even wind up being killed.This was a medival setting after all witchs,warlocks and dark mages were commonly burnt at the stake.
Orion doubted that Varimathras would simply keel over and die.There must be some plan that Varimathras had to avoid being killed as he wasn't a random buffoon.The family headed further west from their home to where Orion assumed there was a court house.
It took forty minutes of walking but they finally reached what appeared to be a court house.There was a massive mob of commoners and even what appeared to be noblemen who probably came here to be entertained or take part in the trial itself.The crowd was divided into two and there was a long path that lead into the large court house.
"Who's in charge of the trial this time around.?"asked a man close to Orion.
"I heard its Valtan Devlon whose in charge of this trial this time around."replied the woman next to the man.
"Are you serious isn't Valtan Devlon an incredibly high profile judge at the low-mid A class that only takes on the highest profile cases?.This must be a serious criminal to get the attention of such a big shot.What did he do exaxctly?."the man said with an incredulous expression.
"Have you been living under a rock this whole time.This is the trial of a serious criminal who went on a rampage within Ring City and murdered hundreds of people.This included ordinary people just living their lives as well as royal and noble guards.His also a dark mage that uses dark magic.Thats probably why you can see some nobles heading into the courthouse.They want to see justice for their guards."the woman spoke with venom in her voice when she mentioned the criminal.
Orion and his family then waited for 2 hours in which the crowd outside the courthouse only grew larger and larger.It was likely that commoners all over Ring City were coming to see the trial.A good amount of commoners even brought rotten food which Orion guessed was for throwing at the criminal.
At that point three figures appeared at the start of the path.They were two royal guards and Harkon who didn't appear to be possessed at this time as he was struggling and panicking.The two guards who had him chained were undoubtedly powerful and candidates for being royal guard captains which Orion could tell from their powerful auras.They were likely at the very low A class.
