Kerrys eyes narrowed seeing the the darkness wrym regenerate.Depending on the type of regeneration the darkness wrym had the situation could turn complicated.
There were four types of regeneration in that world two of which were magical and two of which were biological.
The first type for the magical based regeneration was regeneration through mana enhancement and spells.Dealing with this was simple all they had to do was continue harming the darkness wrym until it ran out of mana and then it would die.
The second type for the magical based regeneration was regeneration through special mana channels which were found in some magical beasts and monsters.These special mana channels allowed for extremely efficient passive use of mana for regeneration.There were however special spells and elements out there that could sever and corrode these mana channels in order to prohibit regeneration and kill the darkness wrym.Kerry did have these spells but something told him it wouldn't be so simple.
The first type for the biological based regeneration was regeneration through special organs called regenerators.These were organs that would continue to heal the darkness wrym until the organ was damaged or destroyed.Kerry and his associates would have to continuously rampage their way through its body until they found the organ and destroyed it.Kerry knew this would take some effort but it would be doable.
The second type for the biological based regeneration was regeneration through sheer vitality which was the most troublesome type and Kerry prayed to the light that this wasn't the type that the darkness wrym had or they would be in trouble.The darkness wryms body didn't need mana or an organ to regenerate when it had sheer vitality.The body would regenerate no matter what.It would have to be destroyed without a trace.
There were also magical beasts and monsters which had multiple types of regeneration but Kerry also hoped this wasn't the case as it would make things extremely complicated.
Kerry immediately used a specialised spell in order to see if the darkness wrym had the second type mana based regeneration which was special mana channels.The spell Kerry used was wind blade shower.He also added an extra incantation in order to provide an extra severing effect of mana channels to his spell.
All of a sudden blades of multiple different shapes and sizes materialised in the air around Kerry.The edges of all the blades had a light green glow due to the effect of the extra incantation.
The blades immediately launched towards the darkness wrym and embedded themselves deeply into its body.Whilst this was happening Terry Orgoo had deftly dodged all the blades with his thick and heavy were hippo body and proceeded to throw a barrage of punches with his enchanted bladed knuckle dusters.
Everything the knuckle dusters hit was a vital point of the darkness wryms body and every vital point they touched turned red and then ruptured and exploded.These knuckle dusters were enchanted with the fire element and caused everything they touched to rupture and explode.This also included mana channels which would be incinerated by the fire element mana in the knuckle dusters.
Derris Novero looked on and was annoyed with himself for not being able to use mana properly or use spells.He hadn't yet gained enough merits to make an order to the mages guild to make him an enchanted weapon or armour due to the long period of peace.Mandar Schion did however make him a magical device to prevent him from getting himself killed.He did however express that it should only be used in the most extreme situations as it was extremely dangerous.
The darkness wrym then began slowly regenerating so it clearly wasn't special mana channels that the darkness wrym had.At that point Kerry and Terry continued their ferocious attacks which continued to chip away at the durable body of the darkness wrym.
Kerry materialised a massive greatsword made of wind which glowed with green.He then began to do strong consecutive strokes with his massive blade and sliced deeply into the darkness wryms body searching for a possible regenerator organ no matter how small.
Terry smashed his knuckle dusters together which caused them to spark.The sparks then became flames which surrounded Terry's fists and would add to the effects of his knuckle dusters.He then stomped his heavy foot into the ground so hard that a large quake happened.The shock resonated through out the ground and even Orion heard it from his cell in the torture chamber.
Orions was confused at first but then realised that they were probably being attacked by Ring City.The attackers were no doubt powerful considering how they created a force powerful enough to reach them under ground.
Orion then began to wander what would happen to him and realised he wouldn't stand a chance against the necromancers or the attackers from Ring City.
