Fame, Power, Money... All were worldly desires that couldn't make Mason Goldenheart, the strongest Hero under God, blink. After fighting in the tumultuous Holy War against the Devil and Demon King for half a century, Mason, with the sacrifice of those he held dear, was finally able to vanquish his foes and bring about an end to the Holy War. With the Demon King's fall came the Devil's end, as God, the great Creator and Saviour of humanity, put the treacherous abomination to rest, and ushered in 100 years of respite. Yet, despite this, all was for nought in Mason’s eyes. As decades passed, an incessantly seeping regret continued to poison his heart. The regret of not being strong enough. Not only had he failed to save his loved ones, but he'd also fruitlessly fought, and tried, and struggled to save the now billions of lost lives across the ravaged Earth. And so, at the turn of the century, long after the Devil and his Demon King's defeat, Mason, whose heart had grown as sullen as rock, confronted God with one simple plea. And it was on that fateful day that he would finally know the truth, a hidden ploy of two men which changed the fates of countless lives. A truth which would forever alter his own fate, pushing him along a path of vengeance and struggles across a cosmos much grander than once thought.
