Chapter 961 - CHAPTER 966: True submission?

Isaiah and the other two were shocked. They had planned to take Han Shuo out in one fell swoop. But when they saw him suddenly willing to negotiate, they were left reeling from the whiplash.

"I was just testing the three of you to see if I had a chance to take back Pandemonium. I've seen that you three are indeed quite powerful, so my desire to fight back has completely vanished. I'll cooperate with you properly now," Han Shuo explained with a bitter look.

The three of them exchanged strange looks. While they did not strike back at Han Shuo immediately, they did not dare to believe him completely either. This time, instead of surrounding him, they decided to attack him from the same side. After all, he was able to break out of their encirclement so easily, so they would rather not waste their energy.

"Bryan, you're stronger than we expected. However, I believe that you were only able to break out of the encirclement by taking advantage of the terrain," Isaiah said solemnly, "even if you escape from our grasp, you won't be able to save your family and friends inside. Tell us what we want to know, or we'll do all we can to exterminate those inside the secret chamber!"

"It seems that this secret chamber has the same power source as the trap that's holding Dhaka and the other two. If we weren't here to negotiate with you, we would have broken through the chamber by now. The three of them would've come out by now. Then there is no way the House of Han would survive!" Regis said coldly. He was quite unhappy about the shocking attack he had just experienced.

"Don't force us to do this!" Miller snapped.

"Sure, sure." Han Shuo raised both hands to show that he fully understood. "I'll do whatever you want. Tell me. What do you want to know? What do you want to get?"

Seeing Han Shuo so cooperative, Isaiah smiled and nodded. "It's simple. We want to know everything about Pandemonium, all the seals, barriers, energy tower layouts and how to use them. Also, tell us in detail about the three seals that keep Dhaka, Dagmar and Asser busy."

"Oh, I see." Han Shuo took a deep breath and said, "Sure. We're leaving the Fringe first, so I have no qualms about leaving Pandemonium to you."

"That's what I'm talking about!" Isaiah looked at Regis and Miller, signalling them to be careful of Han Shuo, lest he fight back again.

With their previous experience, they wouldn't trust him so easily now. As far as they were concerned, Han Shuo was quite a threat to them and had the power to back it up. The slightest careless mistake could result in their being seriously injured and their plans being disrupted.

"Then come with me. I'll take you to a place where you can find out everything," Han Shuo said before walking away.

""Wait!" Isaiah shouted. When Han Shuo turned around, he laughed and said, "You sneaky little bastard, do you think we will just go where you tell us and get trapped like Dhaka? We'll do it here and only here! We have something that can scan your memories."

Regis and Miller stared at Han Shuo unmoving, constantly on the lookout for a sudden, fatal strike.

"Oh?" Han Shuo smiled and nodded. "Good. I wonder what you have that can scan my memories."

"This is it - a soul sphere!" Isaiah pulled out a fist-sized purple sphere with a smooth, jade-like surface. The inside of the sphere was a little misty. Soulspheres were special items that could only be made by elite Death Energy cultivators. They contained powerful soul vortices that could generate a tremendous power to retrieve the memories of anyone close to it.

Although it could retrieve memories, it wasn't safe to use. The slightest mistake could wound someone's soul and stun them.

Han Shou's expression changed as he shook his head. "That's not good enough. The side effects of the Soul Spheres are too great. It's too dangerous. If you use it, I can't guarantee my safety, so I won't do it!"

"There's no need to waste time on him, Isaiah!" Regis growled as he looked down at the secret chamber beneath them. "Let's just break into the chamber and kill them all! Who cares about Dhaka, Dagmar and Asser? When they come out they'll all be dead!"

Miller smiled and looked at Han Shou, whose expression changed. "What's the point of all this? When those three get out, you won't be able to protect your family, no matter how strong you are. Until then, there's no telling if you'll make it out of Pandemonium alive. Isn't it better to cooperate with us?"

Miller and Regis played the usual good cop, bad cop game. Their words seemed to work. Han Shuo's expression turned grim as the veins on his forehead pulsed. In the end, he hardened his resolve and reluctantly said, "Alright. I'll do as you say!"

"That's better." Isaiah smiled and signalled secretly to Regis and Miller. Smiling and careful, he held the orb in his hand and walked over to Han Shuo, keeping his guard up and gradually handing it to him.

After Han Shou received the orb, he seemed rather anxious and hesitant, as if there was a war going on in his mind. Moments later, he sighed deeply, as if he had let go of every shred of resistance. "Here goes nothing!" He held the orb out in front of him as two Soul Rays connected with it.

Suddenly, the mist inside the orb glowed eerily. Isaiah and the others laughed out loud at the same time.

"Even as powerful as you are, you have no choice but to follow!" Regis said as he zipped in front of Han Shuo, sending out lightning bolts that formed into a net that bound him. Meanwhile, Isaiah and Miller flanked Han Shuo and formed a restrictive barrier around him, completely sealing off the energy in his body.

""The moment the Soul Sphere finishes recording his memories is the moment of his death," Isaiah said with relief, "I've tinkered with it before. The moment he connects with it, no one but an Overgod will be able to escape the power of the Soul Sphere! What a shame to see such a talented youth ruined by us."

"Spare me your fake tragedy," Miller said, chuckling as he looked with satisfaction at the ripples in the sphere that represented Han Shuo's memories. "This journey was worth it. With his memories and Pandemonium, we'll be able to find out what strange energy he's cultivating and create a place similar to Pandemonium!"

They laughed heartily at their triumph.

Suddenly, a cry was heard in the distance. Wasir stormed out of the heavy mist. Seeing the soul sphere and the bindings on Han Shuo, he snapped, "What have you done to Bryan?"

"Wasir, was it?" Isaiah said happily, "You have no business here. If you leave now, we won't bother with you. Oh, by the way, make sure you leave Glacial Peak with your subordinates, because we will be taking over this place soon enough."

Miller and Regis chuckled, for Wasir alone would be no match for them. If they hadn't had to watch out for Han Shuo, they might have let Wasir stay and play with him first.

"Wasir, where are you going?" someone shouted from the distance. Soon that person was revealed to be Salas.

"Salas, you're also a sovereign of the Fringe. Why did you help the Godhunter Alliance?"

"Since when do you take me seriously?" Salas said, "Damn, ever since I left the Fringe, you look like you serve the child now! I've been working in the Fringe for years, but none of you cared about our old business. Since that's the case, why should I care about you?"

As he shouted, Salas attacked Wasir without mercy.

"Haha, Salas is here too!" Isaiah knew him and his dealings with Dhaka and the rest, so they weren't too shocked to find him there.

Miller and Regis found it rather interesting and watched them fight. Miller asked, "Salas, do you want us to help you deal with this guy?"

"I couldn't have asked for more! Damn it, Dhaka and the other bastards fell for Bryan's trap and left everything to me! I'm breaking up with them for good! If you don't mind, I'm ready to join your side to fight against Dhaka!"

As he said this, Salas used all his strength to push Wasir towards the three of them.
